From "Finding Truth with Michael": Michael's early interest in disadvantaged children

Quoted from p. 101

After giving me a bedroom tour La Toya walked me into the dining room, where Michael was seated at the table, which was completely covered with black-and-white portraits. They had just returned from a concert tour in Jamaica, and Michael had taken hundreds of photographs of children while they were there.

“D, most of these children don’t even own shoes.” His voice was soft. “They live in mud shacks and rummage through the garbage for food.”

He explained that the country’s recent political unrest and independence had created more poverty and homelessness than ever, with children being the most affected. He focused on an image of a little boy beaming with pride as he held his baby sister. The boy was barefoot and had on a ragged, ripped skirt hiked up under his arms.

“He’s ten years old,” Michael said, pointing to his photo. “His name is Jahvonee.”

“That’s a pretty name,” I said. “I wonder if it’s somehow related to Jehovah.”

Michael nodded. “I wondered the same thing.”

As I continued poring over the photos, Michael provided a narrative for many of the kids. He knew their names and ages, and details about their living situation. His eyes brimmed with tears as he spoke.

After he was done telling me the children’s stories, we walked the length of the table and circled a few times, viewing each picture in meditative silence. I was drawn to his compassion and interest in things other boys his age simply overlooked. Later, La Toya told me that Michael had spent every free moment he had while they were in Jamaica with the children in those photos, playing a street game with them and giving them money and candy.

My thoughts on detractors of Michael Jackson's innocence.

Many detractors of Michael Jackson's innocence could be ex super fans.

I think there are the people who believe he's guilty but try to seperate the art from the artist, so they can keep enjoying his work (or his character, looks etc). I see many people online say this.

I honestly could not enjoy arr by someone I believe is guitly of abuse, especially to children. I question those who can.

In some cases it seems people seperate the false accusations (they think are true) with their obsession with MJ.

Some detractors are so deep in beleiving guilt but also so deeply obsessed with Michael.

I mean why detractors go to all this trouble to spread lies and run the detractors subs, and profiles on other platforms, and websites. Some are working 24/7 doing this.

They use the guise they are for supporting abuse "victims" (false accusers) and giving them justice, but seem to fetishize accusers, and accuse those who have never made false as accusations as "victims" too.

By all means let's listen to all sides, but we need evidence and facts, dont beleive lies.

Also why only focus on "victims" of one alleged abuser, who has been long dead. Surely they could do more to help by focussing on alleged abusers who are alive and have actual evidence of any wrong doing.

Its because of money for accusers, not justice. These detractors have been fooled to love to hate Michael IMHO. Its actually quite fascinating.

I'm listening to this now: MJCast roundtable discussion of Leaving Neverland when it dropped on 2019. This is a thorough breakdown of the situation.

This podcast explains it a lot. The first 30 mins of Leaving Neverlandis a set up showing the kids meeting and becoming friends with mj. Real pics etc.

Then after that it goes into the allegations, no facts.

Its a huge set up that targets people emotionally.

Also they used the perfect time when everyone was piling on, saying beleive victims with me too, r kelly, cosby.. white tabloids targeting blackmen.

Also no laws protecting dead people, mj was dead. Couldn't defend himself.

I stil haven't and wont watch Leaving Neverland or other content if this nature that is not factual. I wont give them the veiws, I wont give them my time, i want to protect my wellbeing.

I'd rather listen to those who are educated and work in thr industry debunk the lies and expose the truth.

When I was searching for the MJCast episode on Spotify, I came across this. I ain't listening to this, but look at the names of the songs. Shows them romanticing it all. Sick

Soundtrack of LeavingNeverlandHBO: https://open.spotify.com/album/2ZCErRBFWVAe9aUwN6EXkc?si=cx9kZF7KSaW322girt5r4A&utm_source=copy-link&sci=spotify%3Acard-config%3A5pyQLna73vu12GCeLsflbN

This also this came up in my search, 8 min listen. This is from when Leaving came out. Hearing people admit they dont know the truth, all going off hearsay to inform their opinions. Its 50 50 on if some beleive and some don't believe the allegations.

They talk about how its pointless, MJs dead, go after alive alleged abusers, the tabloids and media using MJ as a black person to blame the Me Too movement on, a set up..

Michael Jackson Doesn't Even Feel Like A Real Person Sometimes

Im a big mj fan and honestly, how was he real? haha

He feels so mystical and magical, I cant think of one person who reminds me of him / compares in the slightest. He is such a unique fascinating person.

Even specifically thinking about neverland blows my mind, it feels like something youd hear about and see in disney movies / books, not something that actually existed in the world we live in. I miss him so so much 😭

edit: this wasnt meant in the dehumanising sense, more in how incredibly unique and special he was, and the way his legacy has so far been remembered. he did so many things that you never see celebrities do, he was on another level. I hope this makes sense, no disrespect :)

This is an interesting video which shows how childeren naturally gravitated to Michael, he didn't seek them out: "Lisa Marie and Michael Jackson in South Africa with Lisa's children in October 1997"

Lisa Marie said several times that children naturally wanted to be around Michael.

This clip seems to reflect that. Lisa's son and daughter are both very close to Michael. Ben her son constantly says "I want to go with you" to Michael.

At one point, Lisa says to her son, "Leave him alone, he's not even going right now."

Then her son continues saying he wants to go with him.

Michael doesn't seem very phased by this, like he's quite used to kids wanting to be around him.

Many people claim Michael was always focused on seeking out children, but this clip and many others like this show the opposite.

Michael and Lisa Marie said this in their interview with Diane Sawyer also.

That's also something many people who defended Michael have consistently said over the years.

Are we doing media's job? be mindful on how we post about Michael

I have to say that it has been a heartwrenching experience to have constant feeds of blatant accusations or screenshots popping up on a daily basis, from our very own MJInnocentFacts community.

I'm imploring MJ fans to be mindful of what headlines you use when posting. Remember what the media did to MJ: they used sensationalized headlines that were totally negative to Michael.

In our own discussions, we should not amplify through headlines the very falsehoods we are trying to fight. Keep in mind that many casual scrollers might read them without ever clicking through to body of discussions.

I'd say, use a headline that is positive to Michael's innocence and discuss the dirty in details? When you do want to use a screenshot/picture which you want to debunk, will you annotate it sufficiently to make the falsehood clear?

BLK PRIME Presents: The Manager, The Mythology, The Legend - doco about Joe Jackson

This is super interesting, i heard there was a show being made about Joe.

The title 'manager, mythology, legend'. No father? He's best known imho as being mjs father - even though he never allowed the kids to call him that, they called him Joe.. maybe the girls do, I heard lstoys call her parents father and mother (and other kids call Katherine mother).

I wonder if they will address his abusive relationships and behavior, the article mentions his personal struggles, and challenges but dosnt say much else, the rest focusing on his sucess and influence,

I'd like to see more about the rest of the family tbh. 8 episodes seems enough about joe. Multiple seasons lined up.

His success rode solely on his kids abilities, mainly Mike, he chose to be hard on at very a young age rather then be kind.

Its almost like they trying to make Joe look good after the biopic, which showed his true colors, but didnt even show it all!

something to keep an eye out for!

mj courtroom sketches by bill robles

"NOT GUILTY. With those words, Michael, from behind the defense table, resumed his vast composure. In some strange way, Michael seemed to have the appearance of an ancient king. There was something imperial about him. So absolutely commanding with his presence, Michael listened with quiet intent as the statement from the judge was being read. With his head held high, the superstar remained motionless."

- excerpt from Michael Jackson Conspiracy by Aphrodite Jones

courtroom sketches by Bill Robles

"Michael Jackson is so tall and thin. He was looking green last week, so I used a little extra blue and green. With his gaunt cheekbones, from my side view, his hair covers most of his face, unless he turns his head. Sometimes I've only put a nose, and chin and a little jaw showing."

"Michael Jackson, a worldwide figure, seems very gentle and humble. At one point he approached me in court during jury selection to ask for one of my business cards, which has his image on it, by the way. It was incredible; when I showed him a drawing of himself with his attorneys, he lit up like a Christmas tree; usually it's the lawyers who ask."

- excerpts from Bill Robles from an online article published in 2005

A question for everyone.

To the people who were at one point sure of Michael’s guilt, what changed your mind? To the people on the fence, what has you hesitant, why? Is there anything that could sway you either way? To people completely sure of his innocence, why?

The myth: Michael Jackson was $500 million in debt when he died. Broke, bankrupt, nothing left. Let's look at what he actually owned while he was alive.

- Sony/ATV Music Publishing (50% stake)

In 1985, he bought ATV Music for $47.5 million. By 1995, he had merged it with Sony to form Sony/ATV Music Publishing.

An audit in 2007 valued his 50% stake at $390.6 million. The entire catalog was estimated to be worth between $1.5 billion and $2 billion. His half alone was worth somewhere between $750 million and $1 billion.

Annual income from this catalog alone? Around $80 million.

  • Mijac Music Publishing

MJ owned his own publishing company, founded in 1980. This catalog contained all the songs he wrote himself, plus works by other artists like Sly and the Family Stone. Its estimated worth at the time of his death between $50 million and $100 million.

  • Real estate investments

He owned multiple properties throughout his life, including his longtime family home in Encino and a stake in Neverland Ranch. In November 2008, he transferred Neverland to a joint venture with Colony Capital LLC, but he still had a stake in the property.

  • Art, cars, and collectibles

An audit valued his cars, antiques, and collectibles at $20 million.

An audit dated March 31, 2007 showed Jackson had:

$567.6 million in assets $331 million in debts A net worth of $236.6 million

He had just about $700,000 in cash which is why he seemed "broke." But he was cash-poor, not asset-poor.
