He kinda skated around Kara’s questions.

Is Scott a Canadian, UK, and US citizen?

Side note is Ed Elson a US citizen? Isn’t he from the UK?

For example the consular office in Tahiti, do you fly to Bora Bora every weekend to visit?

I want to become an FSO and then start going to all the islands. I’m an island person myself.

I am currently an adjuster at Progressive Insurance and I think I’ve reached my limit.

I was talking to a co worker about how a new hire was brought in just under my salary and now I feel like if i test the market I could probably be making 15-20,000 more than what i currently make ($86,000) [total pay after year end bonus].

I do injury negotiations with injured third parties. I find Progressive to be an okay place to work… nothing to write home about.

I’m mainly looking to get out of claims and transfer into underwriting but I can’t afford a $20,000 paycut that comes with moving to a new entry level uw role so I feel stuck in many ways.

I was looking at AON’s website and a few others and I noticed that their benefits are not as great as Progressive. I get roughly 35 days a year for PTO and both AON and Chubb only give like 15 or 20 but the difference is they pay about 20,000 more for similar claims roles than what i make now.

Thoughts? Do i move to a new claims role with a pay bump or bite the bullet and try to go into underwriting with maybe a pay cut?

I just feel fed up with Progressive without airing all my grievances here the company has some major flaws and they like to dump on their adjusters. I’m done being the doormat.

Hi. I work for an insurance company and was recently overseas (Bermuda) communicating with my boss. I just got back from a lavish trip with lots of beach time.

Anyways, I got locked out of my Teams app and Teams wanted me to re enter my pin. I tried a few different pins but must have put in the wrong one because Teams locked me out and wanted me to completely aign back in again. I tried deleting the Teams app and reinstalling and then when I try to get into my account I am getting an error message that says “your organization is now protecting its data in this app” and the app crashed when i enter my password.

What to do? So frustrating i need access to my Teams lol.

Even if i get arrested would DoJ prosecute?

Hello everyone. Recently returned from a 5 day stay in Hamilton Bermuda. Had a great time checked out all the public beaches/coves/caves etc.

Ironically i actually do work in the insurance industry but wasn’t on the island for work, just leisure.

A few questions… why do the citizens not petition the government to raise the 0% tax for corporations? Give the people better healthcare and fund public projects.

Where does funding come for public projects with 0% income tax? Ie, the bus/ferry system?

Why are the citizens not more united to push for at least corporate taxes of a few percent? Think about all the insurance companies that use Bermuda as a tax shelter. Why do you get to come to bermuda to avoid taxes?

Also another thought on taxes. I understand the cost of living is astronomically expensive… that being said… you don’t pay ANY income tax! None… so essentially a $100,000 salary in Bermuda you keep 100% in the US if you make $100,000 you pay taxes which comes to about $20,000 a year.

So I mean i understand the island is expensive but you’re also literally paying no taxes? Maybe raising taxes will help better the society as a whole.

Otherwise I loved the island. The people are really wonderful and super nice. Everyone greets each other getting on and off the bus.

I will be returning i had a great time.

Also is tourism at an all time low or something? I felt like most days we had all the beaches to ourselves. It was really peaceful.

Has the tourist industry been better in bermuda?

We were all boarded and ready to go on our a319 from Bermuda to PHL and we were able to taxi when the pilot came on the intercom and stated we all needed to deplane (and take our luggage) due to a maintenance issue with the left engine…

We all de boarded the plane and waited 3 hours because the gate agent told us they might need to send a new one.

They eventually re boarded the same plane and let us on after a LONG time and thankfully the flight went off without a hitch.

My question… i was watching the plane the whole time during the period where we deplaned. Nobody touched the left engine.

What was the likely maintenance issue that caused a complete ground-stop but which didn’t need anyone to actually open the left engine and look inside?

Thankful to all the pilots and mechanics in this sub. I was having a massive panic attack today when we had ti re-board the same plane we had just been told had a mechanical issue.

So for context we are in Bermuda and we matched on a dating app and she said she recognized me because she saw me earlier walking through a store. We chat a little bit online and discuss what we’re both doing here ect.

We wanted to plan to meet up but i am here with other people and it started raining so we decided to push it back. She followed me on instagram and we continued talking a little more and i thought it was going really really well, no red flags or anything.

I message here a little later to let her know i was free but she indicated she was tired and it was a long day so i say no problem and we dont meet up.

I just checked my phone and she blocked me on instagram for some reason??

I dont know why at all i thought we were hitting it off quite well?

I tried to “close” several times by setting up a “date” but she backed out 2 times after she asked me to go out but i couldn’t make it.

I just feel baffled because seemingly everything was going very well?

My iPhone is rapidly reloading one internet page i have open. I close safari and open safari and it reloads every 2 seconds automatically as if someone is clicking the reload button or scrolling down every second.

It’s like the wifi and cellular data are fighting.

I downloaded Proton VPN two weeks ago and didn’t like it because it was making EVERYTHING so much slower so i deleted it.

Ever since i deleted the VPN literally nothing loads without multiple attempts.

Where is Scott speaking out about the billions we spend on Isr**l that gives us nothing in return?

Where is Scott speaking out against AIPAC? I’ve never once heard him call out AIPAC but if JD Vance mentions his Catholicism Scott has a brain aneurysm.

In fairness I don’t think any religion should make it’s way into government but lets not act like the Catholic Church gets bullions of our taxpayer dollars unlike Isr**l which is the equivalent of the Judaism capital of the world.

I have been watching the weather app and it looks like it has rained almost every day in June. Is this typical?

The reason why I ask is because I am supposed to be visiting next week and looking at the radar it looks like it’s going to be rainy and overcast all week. 😳
