Why do some people need more sleep than others?

I need 9-10 hours of sleep to feel ok enough to get out of bed in the morning, but my dad only needs 6 hours of sleep. He claims that if he sleeps in longer than six hours, he feels 'sluggish' and gets headaches.

Am i weird for wanting to be completely alone?

I'm a 33 year old single and childless woman, and i've recently discovered that not only do i love being alone, i despise socialising with anyone.

I have no mental health issues, i just like being alone. I can make my own entertainment just fine. Dump me on a deserted island with my phone, wifi and my cats and i'll be fine.

i have no desire for friendships or romantic relationships either.

Whenever i try to socialise with people, it's exhausting and i hate it. I even sigh with relief when people i'm talking to walk away.

In social situations, i'm usually very quiet too.

How can i handle this better in the future?

I was told off really badly by my manager on monday via email, and i don't know what i could've done better.

On sunday night at around 1am, i suddenly fell extremely ill. I don't know why, i was fine the whole day. I was struck down by a severe migraine, i vommitted several times, i was burning up and sweating so badly that my bedsheets were soaked, and i kept sneezing and having coughing fits.

I woke up the next morning at 7am. I was much better, but everytime i tried to stand up and get ready for work, i was overcome by nausea and repeatedly vommited again.

I decided to call in and cancel my shift

However, i got a scathing email from my manager around lunchtime about how i needed to hand in notice two days before i called off a shift.

How could i have predicted a sudden illness like the one i had? I couldn't help it!

One thing about Wade i can't wrap my head around

There is a youtube video where Wade robson is performing a choreographed dance to an Mj song.

If you are so traumatised by your abuser, how can you make an entire choreohraphed dance to his song?

I'm not allowed to link it here, but search on youtube:

Almost every time i brush my teeth, i gag/throw up. Any advice?

I usually gag when brushing certain areas of my teeth, but yesterday was the last straw!

When i was brushing the inner corners of my bottom teeth, i threw up ALL my dinner. Like, you could clearly see what i had eaten. It went everywhere. I had to pause for ten minuets before continuing.

Why didn't they 'vet' the people on the jury?

I watched 'the verdict' and all the jurors seemed star struck by MJ. Wouldn't it have been better to check them first to see if they were fans or not? Being a fan of the accused will make everything biased.

Are you ever worried your house stinks?

I came across a tiktok video that said 'if you have cat(s), your house stinks of them.

I mean... i scoop my litter box regularly, change the litter frequently, so i don't know why it would stink.

Isitbullshit: extreme temperature changes can cause heart attacks

My dad told me a story of a freaky cause of death when he was at work.

2004- He was on a work vacation, and they all decided to visit the beach to cool off. They were currently experiencing a pretty intense heatwave. One of the colleagues, mid thirties, is so hot the sweat is practically soaking through his clothes. He grabs a bottle of ice water from a cooler box, gulps it down within seconds, then cannonballs in the sea to cool off. The sea was strangely cold, despite the heatwave.

The guy was found 20 minuets later, floating, dead.

The coroner reported that the extreme temperature changes in his body caused a fatal heart attack.

Is that possible??

To those of you who left your abusive bf/gf: do you fear for the next victim of theirs?

If i saw my abusive ex with another girl, i'd honestly wonder whats going on behind closed doors.

Some people might say, 'mind your buisness!' But i know what that guy is capable of, and i would want to warn the next girl what he's like.

[UK] Is it normal for romance scammers to threaten their victims?

When my mum was being scammed, she would sometimes try and 'reason' with the scammer, whenever the scammer asked for more money. She'd tell him that she needs that money to pay for her bills, shopping, her own children, etc

.The scammer would then threaten her, by saying that he knew her address (she told him it for some reason), knew where her children lived, and 'could quite easily get on a plane, come to our houses and kill us all'.

I thought scammers only tricked their victims.

They then gave me a special conditioner and a dematting brush.

The thing is, everytime i so much as pick up the brush or the conditioner, my cat scratches, runs away and hides for hours.

How can i groom him when he acts like this?

Has your trauma 'aged you'?

I'm 33 but due the amount of stress i was put under, for YEARS, i feel 50. In my head, i picture myself as an old, withered and frail woman.

I go to the mirror every day and say 'hello grandma!"

I get breathing problems if i get too stressed

Some people use 'breathing techniques' to calm down, but this isn't that. My breathing rate becomes erractic when i'm too stressed- it goes very fast, and i need to take huge gulps of air to try and breathe normally. Sometimes my breath 'catches' in my throat and refuses to come out.
