Lemony Flutter on heels?

Has anyone tried it? I've gone through multiple tubs of pink peppermint foot lotion and repeat foot balm, and I just can't get those last few stubborn, deep cracks out of my heels. I've also tried using scrubee on my feet (v nice btw) and use the Afters massage bar basically every single night on my feet. At this point I'm willing to try anything that is moisturizing 😅. I did refuse to wear shoes outside from toddlerhood to 27, so I might just have lizard heels now. Thought it would be important to note 😭.

When I first got into press-on's I thought I would always be going for the super 3D glitter fest designs, but this summer the classics, nudes and pinks are really speaking to me.😍

Has anyone taken out a huge personal loan?

And was it worth it? I started the journey and took out a "small" loan of 9k. For the rest it's going to be another 12.5k

I don't have insurance. The longer I wait the worse it gets and the more expensive it gets. If I can take out a loan, should I? It's my teeth. I know y'all get it. But I also don't want to make a mistake. But letting my teeth go longer would be a mistake.

Looking to start school in LA

I haven't been to school in over ten years so I would be starting from scratch. I have no idea where to even begin with all of this; school has always felt so out of my league as I didn't do super great in math as a teen and struggled with time management back then too.

But now I'm ready to try again and have decided dental hygiene is what I want to do at 31. I'm doing this for Jon stability of course, but I have bad teeth with a family of people that have bad teeth and feel very passionately about preventative care. If someone helped me more with it when I was a kid I wouldn't be needing over 20k in dental work right now. Oh well, at least my dentist will be happy getting paid 😅.

ANYWAY, where do I start? Any tips? I haven't even started looking at schools yet, but I am VERY broke haha. Any advice or points in the right direction would be super helpful. Tyia!!

Fresh Super Milk

It looks like a crescent moon!

Went for the big mama Super Milk conditioner this time-it is just too good. I can't believe I hated it for so long.

I finally got to smell the Coconut Drench bar today; it smells like chocolate to me 😁 but lighter. Definitely the sweetest bar they have currently (imo).

The new shower gummies were interesting. Everything smelled really nice save for the rose one-like omg she was STANKY bruh. I wasn't expecting those notes to co-mingle in my nose and blast me to the grave like that.

I smelled that Hello Kitty soap again-after the mind fck with Super Milk I have to smell everything 20000x now-the black charcoal one. Someone in this sub had said it smelled like a specific candy they couldn't think of, and it was those lollipops from 90s! I'll post a pic in the comments.

It's that time again...

Where I have to get a dental surgery 😅. Thankfully this is the last time they have to rip teeth out of my head-next time we'll start screwing things in. Woo!

That being said, every month/two months when I have to get surgery to fix the trauma in my mouth I treat myself to Lush.

I know I'm picking up more Super Milk conditioner, and considering some Sleepy shower gel or maybe the Twilight shower jelly.

What makes you feel better from Lush after going through something hard physically? I don't have a tub so bath bombs are out 😭. I need something easy to use as well, as I'm going to be bed bound for about a week or so.

Making progress!

Once I relaxed over the new hair cut and got some more advice for methods I was able to do some work and I'm happy with how it looks now! All the previous frizz was, in my opinion, mostly due to putting the products on in the incorrect order for my hair type. I swore I tried it all; turns out I was wrong 😅.

For this routine I did:

Fair trade honey shampoo-Lush

Power conditioner -Lush

I then used the L.O.C method on soaking hair for the first time and had great results. Used the "praying hands" method to apply products and scrunched a bit at the end before plopping it in a towel a few times. Let it air dry like 95%, put it in a giant loose bun at the very top of my head and went to sleep. Didn't put anything else on it when I woke up, just shook it out and put it in a low ponytail with a giant silk scrunchie for an hour or two to smooth the roots down, as they were FLUFFY lol.

Styling products I used for the L.O.C method:

L-Super Milk Primer from Lush

O-Olaplex No.7 bonding oil

C-Curl Power by Lush

Got a (probably fake) "silk" pillowcase and that helped for sure with the frizz, even waking up to a super humid day.

Definitely going to get a silk bonnet to sleep in as I didn't like what the giant bun method did to my roots at first (this photo was taken after a few hours and the root volume flattened), but it works well enough until then. Could still do with some defining and a lil less frizz but I expect the silk bonnet will fix that.

Marin changed their applicators&formula?

The blue (left) is what I got today, and the right (brown) is the one I've had for two months. It might not be noticable in the picture to most, but the new one is significantly smaller and more rigid. (And yes, my s'mores one was always larger and softer it didn't get bigger or anything after using it for a while.)

I also noticed the blueberry one is MUCH thinner and runnier than the s'mores, and I've let it sit in the AC for quite a while now. Hopefully they aren't changing their formula and cheaping out on the applicators now to cut costs.

Has anyone else had this experience with the blueberry one?

Can I use it every day?

Specifically the Jergens Natural Glow gradual self tanning lotion. Like if I just wanted to have a nice tan forever could I realistically use it everyday if I'm not seeing adverse affects on my skin? I know people usually self tan for events or certain seasons but now that I have a nice tan for the first time in 31 years I don't want to go back 😭😂

New scrubee?

Ok I saw this on a girls Tiktok video, it won't let me screenshot it and she hasn't responded to any comments so I have no clue where she's located (assuming UK as they get all the fun new stuff 😭).

But in her video she showed a new scrubee and said it was chocolate and vanilla!? WHAT?!?! That sounds divine.

Anyone know if this is a confirmed new product? There's always a chance her store had really old stock of something I haven't seen, but it didn't look like any other seasonal scrubee bars, like the mamachino or the valentines day one with the pink.

ETA: I AM A FOOL. It was the mama chino just slightly warped to my eye. I'm silly and hankering for a new scrubee scent this badly that apparently I'm imagining new scrubees where none exist 😂

Just need to mourn a sec

Someone convi me on another sub to add layers. Honestly I thought I would love it way more. It isn't that bad, it'll grow back, but it's not what it was and I'm sad. I just wanted to jazz it up a bit and lessen the frizz 😭. Oh well. We move on.

First two pics are the before, last two the after. I tried straightening it to make it look better as the humidity was HORRIBLE today and not helping my mood about it lol. I never take heat to it but I was in a state 😅. Even at 31 I still cry over my hair. Genuinely it could be worse.

Any advice to feel better about all this? I'm never cutting it again 😭😭😭

ETA: the positive responses and messages I've gotten are really nice and I really appreciate everyone who took the time to message me. I'm going to respond when I feel up to it ❤️ still sad lol. Seriously thank you to everyone who wasn't a grade A jerk, it helped to wake up and immediately see so much positivity. And thank you to the mods for deleting mean comments so fast that I didn't even have to see them and deal with it lol.

Will I regret it

If I don't get Pink? I'm torn. For reference I do enjoy the Snow Fairy scent, which I had seen it compared to as far as sweetness and scent vibes go, but I don't tend to reach for it to wear as much now in my 30s. Tbh I've seen a lot of mixed reviews on it-some say candy sweet, others boozy-Idk what to think! However I'm feeling like I'll miss out if I don't get it now as it doesn't come around ever.

Is it unique enough to blind/impulse buy? Or are there other scents year-round that are the same?

Tyia!

(Also I know I post and comment way too much guys. I swear I'm a fully employed adult, I just got hurt a few months ago at work and have been off of said-work getting various physical therapies as well as dental surgeries from a completely separate thing. I've been SO out of it. I have nothing whatsoever to do and Lush makes me feel pretty and human again since I can't work out or anything 😭 Love y'all).

Can it be saved?

I got this string of pearls from home depot two weeks ago about, and I can't get to changing the pot until the weekend. It was completely dried out before I watered it two days ago, which was the only time I watered it so far. Can I still save it? I tried to rearrange the strings to get out the dead/mushy ones but he still doesn't seem to be looking great. It's like it's over and under watered at the same time 😅

Care routine?

I've been going at this for about two months now, and I'm at the point where I want to take this set off and give my nails a break for a week or so, as I've noticed they're getting a tad thin and bendy when they grow out now, and just because I'm assuming I probably should 😅.

What do you do in between your sets? I'm thinking of just buffing off all the old glue, trimming them short, using some cuticle oil then doing a coat of Sally Hensen Diamond Strength Instant Hardener. Any other recommendations? Ty!❤️

Has anyone used the Avocado Co-wash...

As an actual co-wash? I'm a curly hair gal, but I have to wash my hair every day because of work and the climate I live in.

(It's hot as sin and I sweat a ton, also travel a lot in a big city so I don't like taking those germs and pollution to bed with me).

After researching different methods for my high-porosity hair I've learned that washing every day is bad, and that co-washing is a good method (using only conditioner in-between shampoo) for people in my situation.

I've always wondered why the product was called a co-wash but didn't think anything of it 😂. So my question is, do any of my other curly girls use this as an actual co-wash? I saw there was shampoo in it, and I thought co-washing only meant conditioner so I wasn't sure if it defeated the purpose or worked as well as just using any old conditioner.

If it does work well as a conditionder-only co-wash, are there any other products like of y'all can recommend? I saw they had a Mango and Coconut co-wash, but of course they're leaving soon!

Happy Monday!
