¡Hola materos! I played with some friends from a Baroque ensemble this afternoon. The audience really seemed to enjoy it, but standing in heels for two and a half hours was no easy task. My feet are absolutely killing me!
Luckily my favorite orange-flavored yerba mate is making the evening much better. I’m loyal to this brand and this flavor is absolutely delightful. 🤎

I took a block of smoked bacon and cut it into cubes. I chopped two large onions and a large red bell pepper. First, I sautéed the bacon cubes, then added the onions and the bell pepper. I added a vegetable bouillon cube and deglazed the pan with a little red wine. I added more wine as needed, and once the wine had been absorbed, I added a carton of tomato sauce, a glass of red wine, chili pepper and a little basil. I let it simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes. And to go with it, a Pinot Noir from Yoichi. 🍷🇯🇵
I had this photo on my phone. I was staying with my sister for a few days last summer. It was so hot and my feet were killing me, so I stopped for a few minutes to take off my heels on the steps of this church which doesn’t look like much from the outside.
Then I went inside and was amazed by the beauty of the stained-glass windows and the way the light played through them. I love stained glass and these windows are stunning. I’m sharing it with you here, my dear brothers and sisters in Christ. 🙏🏻🤍
