I just have to rant!
The issue is trying to get sorted at the moment but we are absolutely livid at what's transpired with this vehicle, the service and the BS outcome!

We currently have a short bed Jeep Wrangler that won't make it the distance we are about to travel for our holiday. We've been in the market for a new car so we ended up purchasing this vehicle for 35k.

3 weeks in the Steering warning light comes on. We take it back to dealership and they said "it should be fine" plus... we're getting the 1k check done, they'll look at it then. We had tried the Google search and any possible fixes but nothing worked. Battery is fine, alt is fine, tried to re-calibrate it... nothing.

They say..... We Can't find anything wrong, but we can't let you have it back due to duty of care. It's a steering issue. We say... we NEED this car... A car! We have a jam packed full on day tomorrow PLUS we are leaving early Friday morning to drive to our destination. (today is Thursday as I write this).

They tell my wife, take it home (this was yesterday) but drop it back into us tomorrow morning (today).
So she does, but do they call her or text her or give her any idea's what's happening with the vehicle? NOPE!!! 1pm comes around and she needs to leave for a hair appt at 2pm. Still no car, no phone call, no text, nothing! so our daughter drives over to the dealership and gives them some words.

So to make matters worse, they won't release the car because it's a steering issue and they won't give is a loaner car because we need to driver over 200k with the vehicle. WTAF!!!!

We just spent 35k on this vehicle specifically because we knew our Jeep wouldn't make the trip and we get shafted BIG time by this phuking company!! You phuked us over, MAKE IT RIGHT!

I am going to state that just prior to the light going on, I was backing out of a tight parking spot with a vehicle parked beside me and a metal beam/post in between us. I do recall the car attempting to "correct" me because it "thought" I was going to hit the car parked beside me. I did feel the steering wheel jolt a bit.... then the light came on. So if anyone has any ideas, please throw them my way.

I HATE computerized shit in vehicles! I KNOW how to drive! Been driving for 45 years! I don't need a car deciding my fate! I'm the one that turns it all off when I get behind the wheel. It's simple BS!

I ordered from Amazon and got a tracking number that starts with AP.

I checked the app but says the number is unverified.

Got an email this morning saying it's Out for Delivery, yet the Tracking number is still unverified. The Postie just went by without stopping, perhaps this package may be slightly bigger than the bike can carry. (Literally headphones). So could be delivered via their van.

Amazon says Delivered by Australia Post Global. Is this not the same thing or will this be with a 3rd party courier?

I just recently resigned from my call centre job about 3 weeks ago after struggling to find a job for 2 years.

The amount of stress that was released from me was brutal.

when I got my new job I took a week off to destress and unwind and prepare myself for the new role I was about to embark on. In that week of destressing, my body felt it! I'm still sorta feeling it but the one thing I DID notice was the lack of panic I had each morning.

I no longer have to think of excuses to call in. I'm not panicking when I wake up knowing I have to be on calls.

My new job is a complete breath of fresh air! I still get to work from home as well but nothing even remotely close to what I DID do.

Seems my Apple TV Home Sharing is working intermittently and I cannot understand why. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue.

I've done all the previous troubleshooting which I really don't wanna type all out. But regardless.... it works one day and then not the other day and this goes for the rest of the other Apple TV's... one day it'll work, then it won't. It's frustrating!

After having THE WORST POSSIBLE DAY yesterday, the job I interviewed for on Wednesday came through!

She tried to call me yesterday (thursday) but her phone wasn't working for some reason and had to wait until this morning to bring me the GOOOOOD NEEEEWWWS!

I am so elated, excited..... RELIEVED to be out of this gawd forsaken shithole!!!

It only took 2 years!!!

So did this Apple TV outage thing have any affect on Home Sharing? Cuzzzzz it was working JUST fine for the last several years and it was working just fine the morning of... and that evening.... No Libraries were found

Fiddled here and fiddled there (did my EX Apple Employee troubleshooting)

Restart - reset - swapped - signed out and back in, etc etc....
No Libraries Found.

I'm ever so frustrated....

Been using home sharing consistently for the past 15 years.

I have 4 apple TV's in the house, all are connected to one computer, with a hard drive that has a Shite ton of movies/Tv shows, either purchased or ripped from DVDs.

I have an extensive amount of playlists that will play shows back to back without having to hit "continue" or play for the next one in the list.

This Home Sharing IS set up with my apple ID obviously as I use home sharing every single night.

I went to put shows on and it said No Library can be found.... so me, being and EX apple tech employee, went through the basic troubleshooting steps.

Restarted Macbook
Restarted Apple TV
All Software up to date
Confirmed it's ALL the apple TV's
RESET the Apple TV (just one)

After resetting the apple TV i was then able to see the library but no content would load. Everything I attempt to play says "Unable to Load Content".

So now I'm even more stumped. Could this be my external HD that houses all the digital files? Is my external possibly failing?

Anyone else having any issues lately? Everything is up to date

I have a job interview on Wednesday. One I had applied for at the beginning of July but unfortunately didn't get but they called me back on Wednesday to do the final interview. of course I said yes. So interview on Wednesday. Now I had already planned on taking Wed. off initially for this interview but have decided to take the days leading UP to wednesday as well.

Totally gonna get fired for this!

Anyway, wish me luck for Wednesday. I seriously cannot deal with this company any longer. It sucks the life out of me even when I'm NOT there, the job consumes my thoughts!

Applied for a job at the beginning of July and had one phone conversation, then had a Google Meet with two more people, and then the dreaded email that I wouldn't be progressing.

Got the 3rd and final interview now for next Wednesday! I'm so super stoked so I hope I don't act like a turd and fuck it all up.

Warning, this might be long, I dunno.

So TL put me on a PiP (iykyk). However, according to her, her PiP's are fun and meant to be enjoyable and she even said that some people like to stay on them because it helps them. This was about 4, maybe 5 weeks ago.

Today, she brings me in for coaching... 4 or 5 weeks later and tells me she has to escalate my PiP to HR because I'm not following our procedures (KMS). She then proceeds to tell me that she was watching my screen and said I wasn't opening up any processes. And I'm thinking... is she allowed to do this without my knowledge? I'll have to check on this part!

I have to blatantly say that our Procedure program is NOT a flow chart. you cannot follow this as they "expect" us to follow it.

Anyway she babbled on about this and that and why am I not following it and why am I going off "muscle memory" (mind you, I DO get 100% qualities) even when I don't follow it. Because it's all the same rubbish scripting that's spewed day in and day out that we have to say/do whatever!

So I tell her that after 4 years in this same role I've become absolutely robotic now and I can't remember one phone call from another and all the calls blur together. Anyway, she then says, ok well we need to take this to HR cuz you're not following it. Do you want a support person with you? I said No. (I have no one)

So anyway, she says, I need you to follow it. I said ok fine, I'll start following it from here on out.

Left the meeting and the first call I got..... placed the caller on hold and spent about 7 minutes trying to find the process... couldn't find anything. Called our support queue to ask for assistance in finding the process and got told... "That's not in our process, it's just learned knowledge"

Well if that didn't fucking piss me off to no end! I"m livid! to say the least!

Sometimes I just get calls that don't really require the assistance of our processes and even if there WAS a process for it, how the hell would I know it even exists unless I tell the caller. I"ll call you back, I gotta see if it's in here first!! FFS! hell no!

I'm at my wits end with all this bullshit metrics, quality call centre CRAP! I'm about ready to quit with no other job to go to, go into massive debt and just die of depression!

I'm so done!

My TL wants me to do this. I really don't see any benefit of listening to my own voice gaggling away with a client.

If I missed something on the call, so be it. I "forgot"! so sue me! Fire me! I don't give a rats ass. I'm live on the call and cannot multi-multitask that easily (especially as I get older, I'm slowing down a tad).

Quality has the capability to rewind that call and continuously listen over and over again and literally FIND something to mark down. I don't get that opportunity so how is listening to my own calls going to solve anything?

Yeah, I do remember things AFTER the call but it's literally too late to fix it. I'm certainly aware of it and sometimes focus on not doing it again.

I worked for this place that was extremely stressful. Like I can't even explain... stressful!

I often got stress headaches but then one night I woke up to the whole entire left side of my face, earache like feeling, pain in my eye, toothache and lower jaw bone hurting like the dickens! I couldn't touch my face, I woke in tears, sat up in bed crying. I had this pain every single night for like a week and it finally eased after I had found another job.

Periodically now, I tend to get super stressed and from time to time, wake up to this pain. I went to doctor but nothing was ever really mentioned about it, told me to take "these". What was prescribed was an anti-depressant. I don't take them. I don't like meds really and I'm not on any for anything.

After researching about this mysterious face pain, I found that it's 100% what I"m experiencing.

I have been able to manage it from keeping myself as stress free as possible but have noticed that it seems to only trigger under immense stressful situations.

For the most part, I can tell when I''ll get an episode as it starts off with like an earache and then slowly spreads to my jaw making it feel like a tooth ache (mind you I have no teeth - I'm 60 with implants). But the minute I feel that, I grab my heating pad and lay it on my face. This seems to help. Prior to the heating pad, I would stand in a warm to hot shower and let the water hit my face. Grab some Advil or Paracetomol and the pain would slowly decrease until I could fall back to sleep.

I haven't had an episode for about 3 years and then got super stressed not too long ago and it came back again. So wondering if this is a stress related condition or can it be stress related?

My supplied work POS unit died on me mid last week. got a new one coming. Should I wait until I'm ON shift to set it all up? Or set it up OFF the clock?

I'm certain I won't get paid for OFF the clock set up and I think I should treat this as if I'm going into an office with a new computer right?

Just purchased a new gaming laptop and it's currently going through the initial setup of downloading/updating and installing stuff. Haven't gotten to the stage of logging in yet.

I want to remove all the AI crap, and other crap that gets loaded on here. Is there any step by step walk throughs or guides as to what is removable?

The ONLY thing I'll be doing on this machine are Steam, Discord, and Overwolf. No Xbox stuff, no nothing. I'm not even gonna be using anything Office related either.

Our company provides shitty ass computers (mini boxes) to use for the job. They are tightly secured so you can't download or alter anything on the systems and that's fine by me. I don't care.

Well.... my system decided to shit itself logging in. Contacted our Org's IT department and of course, they, themselves are just CSS's reading from scripts and doing their step by step instructions for troubleshooting.

I literally went above and beyond with my own TS'ing and found that it's a video card or motherboard issue.

So.... of course I message my Team Leader and the first thing she tells me is.... "Do you have another computer to do a Team Meet on Friday (it's wednesday) as we have to do this coaching".

I'm thinking.... fuck off! And I'm also thinking... if they ship out another unit for me, they'll overnight the damn thing! RELAX!! You'll get in your nagging downset remarks!

The worst part about this is that IT has to write up a ticket and the ticket gets sent to my TL who reads up on it and she sends me a messaged (via my phone's work app messaging system) and says... IT have reached out to you and you're not responding. The fuck I am!!! I took a video and scrolled through all the messages and troubleshooting, pictures etc of me conversing with IT!! WTAF!! I'm actually livid right now!

I so want OUT of this fucking job so bad!

Bought this little mini display to use as an a second screen for game play which has worked brilliantly on my 8 year old Laptop (Omen). It's literally powered by the laptops USB-C port as it allows display output.

I have a new laptop but the USB-C port won't power my mini display and I also just tried it on another gaming laptop (higher specs) that won't power it either via USB-C.

Is there anything else I can use to power this mini display on the laptops that won't allow the usb-c output? Laptop needs to power the external larger monitor as well.

My current setup is the laptop lid is closed and have a gaming monitor using an HDMI port and the smaller mini display just below the main monitor (connected via USB C as the output on this laptop can handle display output). The mini does have a mini display port to it so it's not like I need to use a usb-c cable.

Since I work in the aged care sector we generally talk to older people and sometimes we'll talk to someone who helps them out (rep or support person) they're younger and can comprehend things easier.

What is REALLY FRICKEN PISSING ME OFF...... is the damn process of this organisation. Deadset, swear we had a mini blowout in our chat because people were confused about a certain procedure and none of us could agree. I didn't chime in on the conversation, I just sat back and laughed at the BS of it all.

GAWD I hate this place!!
