Sister is sick with a bug, my sink has been used to wash sick rags.

Hi all.
This morning when I woke up I was told my teenage little sister had been sick. Thankfully I already had plans to see a friend so I got ready immediately and left town without touching much things outside my room.

Since coming home I’ve been really on edge. I feel guilty knowing my sister is the one who’s suffering (she has a terrible stomach bug) and I’ve checked in on her from a distance, but I can’t help but freak out that it’s happening in my house and it’s contagious.

We thought the vomiting had stopped since she hadn’t been sick all day but just half an hour ago she threw up in bed and all her sheets and mattress needed changed. I was almost asleep but shot up when I saw my dad go into my bathroom to rinse some rags that had been used to clean up the vomit. This sounds like a complete first world problem and I feel very guilty to make such a big deal of this, but I completely freaked out. Got anti bac and bleach and gave me my bathroom the biggest scrub it’s had in a while.

Unfortunately my retainers, tongue scraper and toothbrush were all on the sink countertop when my dad washed these rags and now I’m paranoid that the splash has infected them. I’ve let them all steep in warm water with a drop of mouthwash but otherwise idk how to disinfect them. I’m about to hop into the shower to complete my deep clean but I’m scared to use any of my dental stuff.
What do I do?

What are the main things to look out for as your budgies age?

Hi all,
My two budgies (both boys) are 5 and 6. They’re both very active and love time outside the cage as well as baby sweetcorn. That being said, I know budgies can slow down a bit and encounter health issues as they age. In your experience, what are the main things I should be looking out for as they get older so to avoid any treatable issues?
Thanks!!!

What’s happened to my acrylic paint?

Haven’t used my acrylics since about April. Opened them up today and the Windsor blue has went disgusting and reeks of damp.

Help me ID this bird

Sorry for the terrible image quality, it’s taken from a video that I took through my car windscreen.
Seen in central-Scotland countryside yesterday - a bit bigger than a collared dove but not huge. I can’t tell!

Help me ID a bird … based off of a description

Hi, i know this is a total shot in the dark but I’d love to know what people think.
This morning at around 8:30 I saw a very sleek brown bird (around the size of a crow, maybe bigger) fly off of a fence post. It may have been a bird of prey as it flew off as the car passed it and flew very low to the field with quick wing flaps. It had a distinctive triangle shaped tail and very sharp looking wings. Didn’t get a very good look at it but that’s two times I’ve seen it now and I’m puzzled!! We do have plenty of buzzards around here but I’m not convinced it was one of those.
For reference I live in farmland area near Dunfermline in Scotland
Thank you!!!

I become a monster before my period - I lose feelings for my boyfriend and treat him poorly. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi,

I wanted to make a post sort of to rant but also to ask for advice. I have always struggled with my periods - since I was young they have always been very painful and heavy (I’ve now been prescribed acids for the bleeding and pain, which has helped) but now there’s a whole other issue that seems to be getting worse, which is the PMT.
I’ve always gotten teary before my period - I can’t recall ever NOT having the whole ‘the world is ending / I hate myself / my life is falling to pieces’ shenanigans, but recently I’ve found it completely changes my attraction to my boyfriend and I’m becoming incredibly unstable in the luteal phase.
Literally just tonight I was raving, crying to the point of wanting to scream and getting rly aggressive (punching a lot of pillows).
And, in the week before my period, it’s like I suddenly become alienated by my bf. I literally struggle to look at him. I’ll be wanting to chat to him so we’ll FaceTime and I’ll just stare at him with complete indifference. As soon as my luteal phase gets bad I’m planning a breakup, what I’ll do after, what will be like etc. literally full on crisis mode. The guy who I’m usually so in love with becomes someone I can hardly speak to for the ickiness I feel.
I have done some research and a lot of this seems to resonate with PMDD sufferers but I don’t want to jump the gun too quickly.
For some context I do have ADD and ASD - which means any emotions I do face, they’ll come out much worse.

For anybody who has had this before: how do you cope? Have you resorted to any sort of medication or therapies? Can you still stay with your partner when it gets bad?
Thank you

Scent profile of boots curly mousse?

Hi!! This is really random but it’s something I’ve wondered for ages. If anyone has tried the boots curly hair mousse (it’s a light pink bottle), what do you think it smells of? I can’t place it but once I figure it out I’m going to have to get a perfume that smells that way. I noticed that Miss Dior essence smells similar…
Let me know!!!

Can you have two videos go viral at once?

Hi!
I currently have a video going viral (at about 1m views and growing) that I posted yesterday, and I was thinking of posting a new video that’s on trend right now. Will posting the video impact the performance of the older video? Can they both do well at the same time?

Do you prefer to use a metal or a wooden crepe spreader?

Hi all. I’m currently writing a blog on the pros & cons of both wooden and metal crepe spreaders. I’m not very good at making crepes myself but I’m keen to know what others think of both these options. Which do you prefer, and why? Thanks!!
