yea, i admit it. when the GP3 launched in 2021 i was not a fan at all. big ugly spoiler, auto only, smaller rear jcws brakes, opf filters/no runoff/burples/pops, no adjustable dampers..
fast forward to 2025, life changes allowed me to have a 2 seater again (had a 2020 jcw countryman, needed the space). after having my 2020 countryman jcw that had same engine and transmission but in a much bigger frame and loving it, re-looked at the GP3 and the Miata, CTR and a few other similar hot hatches. however the thing that sold me was the rarity of the GP3. i knew 300hp in a F60 was fun, so 300hp in a F56 was gonna be plenty fun! and the handling is so good, just rotates at speed (cloverleafs at 75mph? check). design; grew on me and actually love it now. it just stands out. and best part? kind of get royalty like treatment at all the mini events 😉
if you get a chance and you can live w/just 2 seats.. get one! or at least test drive one (if they let ya).
he didn't make it (i think a blender build??) but dang!! love it. looks pretty sweet when it leaves too. having neighbors/buddies in game is fun 🤗
I've been running DB2 just fine. upgraded to DB3 and man.. everything broke for me, main issue is the menu bar process is just gobbling up memory. I have 64gb of ram, a M1 Max and 4tb ssd. several times today I got the menu bar being cause of running out of memory.
also apple totally broke multi-output audio.
right now I am back on Tahoe after a clean install and manually moving my data back from my time machine backup and don't think I'll be running the beta until its at public release phase. again, DB2 worked perfectly with no issues but DB3.. oof. a total mess for me.
had a guest over and we watched me spend 10K of quicksilver on fireworks.. sure wish we could time them or at least have them all go off at once..
well.. eleanor had her first flat tire.. somehow got a screw right in the middle of my driver's side rear. sure glad my GP3 came w/the mini tire kit and pump. that little pump actually works very good! glad i tested it prior to needing it.
hmm.. perhaps time for a new set of summer tires..? na, one more season.. ;)

as a day one player, been enjoying this expedition in that i’m playing as my temp new save and it’s been refreshing starting from scratch. recently went black hole hopping and taking out swarms. good times.

so.. yea, i've been re-setting up my JellyFin server, added an HDHomerun tuner in the mix and had a few issues w/remote access so i made this.
i still remember watching this movie nearly every week.. prob had some influence on my geek development.

i tell ya, nothing beats listening to the local sports talk radio in the am on it :) got an FM transmitter coming so i can airplay music / podcasts to it!

figured that little spot on his outfit was made for a pin!!
had a two shelves sitting around and a lot of free time so i made little shelf and finally have a place for some of my older childhood tech/toys.
still remember this clock radio being in the garage since i was a kid and dad always having on the farm markets station. dad, i miss ya and can't believe the GE flip clock still works! 😎
