Regarding harassers!
I’ve been seeing so many people victim-blaming and defending those harassers or influencer just because she replied to a few messages denying the allegations. I’m not the type of person who exaggerates things or post about serious situations without trying to verify them first. When I first heard about this girl’s passing, I personally spoke to her cousin over a phone call to make sure it was true. She confirmed everything, including the funeral details.
What I don’t understand is how quickly people are willing to dismiss the victim’s claims just because someone publicly says, “I never spoke to her” or “These are fake allegations.” A public denial is not proof that nothing happened. People also need to ask themselves: why would someone knowingly accuse a well-known public figure of harassment if they believed it was completely made up? Anyone would know that making false allegations against a public figure could have serious legal consequences, including the possibility of a defamation case. It’s not something most people would do casually or without thinking.
If you don’t believe the allegations, that’s your choice. But if you have nothing constructive to say, then simply move on. Stop victim-blaming someone who is no longer here to defend herself. The least you can do is show some basic human decency and empathy instead of attacking a person who has already lost her life.
