What do you think is Olivia’s best song in terms of songwriting and lyrics?

I personally think that Vampire is one of her best songs in terms of lyrics because she managed to capture the predator vibes so perfectly. What about you?

AIO? Can’t stand my brother sometimes

Background: I (29f) have one older brother (35m). We are an Asian family.

My brother and I used to be close when we were kids but now my patience is tested every time I’m around him, to the point where I usually can’t stand to be around him sometimes.

Since we were kids, he would always play fight/play rough with me in the way that I assume is normal for older brothers to do with their younger siblings. I.e. play punching, poking me, and just generally being loud and annoying. I’ve never liked it but just kinda tolerated it because he’s my brother and even though I complained my parents put very little effort in getting him to stop.

Now, even as adults he still*** ***does all those things to me and I HATE it. I can’t stand him not only invading my personal space like that and moreover, not respecting me enough to stop when I ask him to. Once, my patience was running so thin that I screamed in his face when he didn’t listen to me begging him to stop. He got upset and our parents got upset. Our mum forced me to apologise to him even though she admitted that he’s at fault, simply because he’s my older brother.

Since that incident, I’ve held a grudge against my brother and my parents. I feel like it doesn’t matter to them how I feel, they just want me to take whatever he dishes out. Every time this subject comes up I get lectured about how I have to love my brother and accept that playing rough and annoying physically is how he shows his love for me. And they wonder why I’m always short tempered with him. I don’t think he gets to treat me like that. We’re adults for God’s sake. But am I wrong, am I being too sensitive?

Seeking starter project suggestions! (+ resources if any)☺️

Hi everyone! I'm seeking suggestions for starter hand-sewing projects. I recently cleared out my closet and currently have a pile of clothes in my room to do something with. Although some of it will be donated, I think that the rest are too worn out to be donated or sold as secondhand. I would like to save the fabric from the latter, so they hopefully won't end up in a bin or even worse, a landfill.

With this in mind, I'm seeking suggestions for beginner-friendly projects that are simple enough to be done by hand. I may invest in a machine much later down the line if I'm consistent + successful enough with the initial hand sewn projects. I'm envisioning something practical such as a foldable reusable shopping bag, but I'm open to other ideas too :) patchwork also looks interesting to me but I don't really know what to turn them into other than blankets.

Also, if anyone also happens to know of any online hand-sewing guides or video tutorials, please also let me know where I can find them. Video tutorials that I could find for tote bags/reusable bag are intended for machine-sewing. But any guides/videos covering the basic principles and steps for sewing would be super helpful. Thank youuu!

Does anyone else feel this way about Maggots for Brains?

I really love how the song sounds, yet at the same time every time I listen to it, the lyrics conjure some pretty unpleasant images in my mind so I just end up half enjoying the song and half feeling squeamish, despite it being so well written 😅

Laksa Johor, soto ayam, and ubi kayu rebus with sambal sotong

This is the best makanan tradisional Johor that I’ve come across in KL so far. Ironically, all will still come second to my mum’s cooking.

Shows similar to A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder

Hi all, I’m looking for shows with a similar vibe to A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. That is, the cosy murder mystery vibe, bonus points if it’s a British show. TIA!

How do you know if you are an age regressor?

Hi everyone, I’m new to this group and I wanted to ask the question in the title, I hope it’s okay. A couple of people I met recently (we were not dating, just getting to know each other) have asked me if I age regress. I never know what to answer even after they’ve tried explaining it to me. But they have said things like how I seem like someone who’d enjoy being in a ddlg/caregiver relationship, or that I seem like I could be little. How did you realise that you age regress?

Harlan Coben books

Netflix has quite a number of adaptations of Harlan Coben’s books. I haven’t watched all of them but of the ones I’ve seen, I thought that a couple were pretty good.

Im just a little puzzled because the shows are pretty much my introduction to Harlan Coben, as in I’ve never read or come across his books before. Is he that popular of an author to have this many Netflix adaptations? Have I just been living under a rock? Are his books good? If so, which one would be a good one to start with?

Title recommendations, old or new, are welcome! TIA
