Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has gotten a too good to go bag from Taza and can let me know how much is usually included in it?? Ordered one for tonight and debating getting a second one, unless it usually contains enough for two people to share. TIA 🥰.

Graduated with my bachelors yesterday, it was a lovely day, honestly so memorable.

My dad put a post up on Facebook of the day, 5 pictures from throughout the day, most of them my favourite pictures of the whole day. I got to the second last one and realised it looked,,,, different.

He'd edited it using ChatGPT, it made me look completely different. Smoothing out my features, making my neck longer/skinnier, making my chest larger, making my hair neater, etc etc. Just little things that you wouldn't really notice unless you were really looking and/or knew what the original photo looked like.

Sucks but oh well, what can you do. I knew he probably just asked it to make him skinnier and because AI can't actually edit photos and just recreates the entire image every time, it changed other things. I said it to my sister like "ugh I wish he'd stop using AI on every single photo ever". My sister confronted him on it, and I got a message from him saying he didn't realise it had changed anything.

I said that yeah, it does just make me feel a bit shit. That as a byproduct of this, the photos he's posting of me on social media are, even unintentionally, edited to make me look "prettier". I asked if even next time when using AI, to ensure that it doesn't change anything other than what he's asking it to (like, adding a prompt saying "keep everything else the same).. Id rather he just didn't do it, but minimising harm innit.

Oh man, that was apparently NOT the right thing to say. He losttttt it at me, saying: "I just know that going forward you would prefer not to be on any of my social media"... Like bro what? Youd rather never post your daughter on social media again, than just not use AI to change how I look??? He was like "I know you have a bee in your bonnet about AI, but it's the future."....

I'm so sick of how loyal he is to AI. My sister (13) hasn't done her own schoolwork since ~10y/o, because every time she asks a question or doesn't understand something, our dad is like "ask Claude." As soon as I found this out, I said to her that she has to stop and actually ask her teachers for help if she needs it. Shes not gonna pass her exams (1.5yrs away) if she's just outsourcing her thinking to AI. Shes been a wee angel with it, encouraging all her *classmates to ask their teachers questions instead of asking ChatGPT/Gemini/whatever.

Every year, her school/my old school runs a design competition, where you have to design a product for a large business within our country - it's paired with the business, so the winners get a bunch of goodies. I spent ages on my submission, back in 2018, I spent DAYS on photoshop creating a mock-up of the product. I was telling my sister about my product and how I created the mock-up, when my dad chimes in with "just ask Claude what product you should imagine and then ask ChatGPT to draw it".... I'm sorry, but we're encouraging her to use AI for what is a CREATIVE and IMAGINATIVE competition????

He just can't imagine anything anymore, it's fkn sad. My bf had a job interview where they had to create their "dream burger". I told my dad and his response was "yeah id ask Claude what my dream burger is and then get ChatGPT to create it"... YOUR AI DREAM BURGER??? YOUD ASK CLAUDE WHAT YOUR DREAM BURGER IS? HOW WILL CLAUDE KNOW?!?!?!?????

TL;DR using AI as a photo editing software is fkn ridiculous and doesn't even work, and then I go off on a rant about unrelated but equally annoying things 😭. There are so many other instances of me being beyond fed up with his AI reliance, but those are the ones swimming around in my brain.

None of my friends or my mum have attended uni so don't really understand what it means, and my dad is like "well why wasn't it a first",, so I just kinda wanted to brag(?) for a second 😅😂. But also as a kinda reminder to people that it's not too late and you can still achieve good things!!

Everyone (my medical team/uni staff) told me to take a leave from uni on health reasons and return once I was better. However, my dad refused to have his child "drop out" and be a "waster benefit scrounger". I've been chronically ill since I was 15 but 1/2 through first year at uni, it suddenly got so much worse: I couldn't get out of bed, couldn't eat, couldn't sleep, I couldn't really do anything. I found out at the end of 2nd year that my GP had accidentally been accidentally overdosing me on chemotherapy agents and my liver was on the brink of failure - finally the doctors actually started believing me. I spent most of the summer between 2nd and 3rd year just recovering.

I started 3rd year thinking that it would be my fresh start but quickly realised just how behind I felt. I felt too ashamed to face my lecturers because of all the "issues" I caused (literally just extensions/uncapped resits) and I basically didn't go in for the entire semester. Id watch the recordings and just do it all from home - I had leniency on my attendance anyways. By the second half of third year, I finally felt like I had started catching up and started seeing Cs/Bs on my grades for the first time since high school. It made me remember just how much I missed that feeling of pride you get after submitting a really good piece of work.

In 4th year, I was still terrified of my lecturers, every time I saw them I expected them to shout at me/be mad at me. Thankfully, I got the most amazing and kindest dissertation supervisor, she was absolutely lovely and helped me with the fear I had with asking for help. I really put my all into 4th year and got solid Bs with a few As mixed in and I could not be prouder with my 2:1. I was so sure that it was too late for my effort to have paid off and id get a 2:2 (not that there's anything wrong with that! the masters I wanna do has a 2:1 requirement).

So, yeah 😅. I'm just so beyond the moon at my classification and honestly tear up every time I think about the fact that I'm actually graduating with a 2:1. It feels so surreal to me hahahah.

Hi all, bit of an odd question but does anyone know how I could go about finding anywhere willing to rent some basic gardening supplies - or anything similar? Like a wheelbarrow and shovel, maybe cutters too?

The garden of our building is communal but hasn't been maintained in a long time - a lot of our neighbours are older individuals and they've told my bf + I how nice it used to be before falling into disarray and being unable to manage it anymore. We've been trying to tidy it up to the best of our abilities since we moved in a year ago, but it is a slowww process with just a broom 😅😂.

Dont want to get anyone in to do it, as I'm sure we'll tackle it just fine if we get a few friends round. But don't have the space nor money to buy a wheelbarrow/shovel haha. Any suggestions 🤔?
