When your obsessive need for perfect symmetry meets your love for chaotic natu 🖤🤍
I usually stick to very strict, repetitive mandala patterns because the symmetry is truly meditative for me. For this piece, I just wanted to challenge myself to step out of my comfort zone by forcing the rigid lines to break out into fluid, curvy and asymmetrical vines.
Done entirely with black fine-liners onA4 drawing book (130gsm). It took roughly 3 hours. I'd love to hear your feedback on how the balance feels to your eyes.

Maa Durga!
A small tribute to Goddess Durga.
This piece holds a very special place in my heart. As I sketched it during the difficult covid time of 2021, it was born out of a need for inner strength while my family faced health challenges. For me this was my way of connecting to the divine, seeking courage.
