most economical long-term parking for des moines airport

The Gray Economy lot seems to be going up in price every time I go. And when we are gone for two weeks, it really bites. The parking shuttle is now less frequent and sometimes comes full in the Gray North.

Are there any alternatives for DSM airport parking long-term (2 weeks or so) in economy?

Prepaid R299 plan 1.5GB/day vs R349 plan unlimited 4G/5G data

I went to renew my prepaid (Kolkata circle) and I noticed that I am being given unlimited calls and 1.5GB data/per day for 28 days for R299. But I also noticed another option that says unlimited calls and unlimited 4G/5G data for 28 days for R349. Is there a catch in the latter plan?

I have used 1.5GB data per day in the past, and I also use the phone as a mobile hotspot, but the unlimited data would remove my need to constantly make sure I am not hitting the limit.

inbound international express mail sitting in Jamaica NY for two days without movement

So, I am receiving a document that was express mailed from India and it has been sitting in customs waiting to be inspected for two days now:

Processed Through USPS Facility

JAMAICA

June 26, 2026 4:37 PM

Inbound Into Customs

I understand the queue and all that, but it is just a one-page document. X-ray the item, open and read it if you need to, and send it along its way. It is mailed Express after all.

I wonder how long it will take to move. I hope I get it by the end of the week.

how to find out airtel number on Android for recharge while abroad?

My elderly family member who is visiting for almost a year forgot to do anything about her airtel sim card. We are wondering if it is even active. She is not very well-versed with phone issues, and I was assuming that this sim is not active any longer. But we have got messages from Airtel that "SMS (incoming + outgoing) calling, and data services have been stopped on your number while abroad, as you do not have an active International Roaming pack. To restore the services, please recharge with a new Airtel International Roaming pack now.

Would this mean if the pack is still active?

In order to check, we need the number, and I can not figure out how to get it. She recalls the first 3-4 and the last 3-4 digits, but it is not enough.

Anyway, I tried to use the "About phone" on Android, but under Phone Number, it says "unknown" so does this mean that the sim card is no longer active. Or is it because the phone is out of network, and under international roaming (there is a R with the network, and the carrier says: Tmobile - airtel)? Is there another way to find this number? Or will the Phone Number become available when she lands back in India?

The Airtel app does not seem to realize that there is a sim on the phone from airtel (and perhaps it is not meant to be able to do that).

Thanks for any advice or suggestions.

VI e-sim for prepaid connection?

Hello, my phone does not have a physical sim slot. Can I get a new VI e-sim for a new prepaid connection in the Kolkata region? I am not interested in a postpaid connection. The instructions I found here: https://www.myvi.in/esim-activation seem to indicate an existing sim card.

If an esim without first getting a physical sim is not possible, should I look for some other operator (airtel, jio, etc) however, my experience with VI has been the best (over the past 3-4 years).

train fare from Townhall to airport international terminal station

Hi, I am at the last leg of my trip (amazing country, love Sydney so much that I came back after 21 years) and was wondering how much it costs on the Opal card to get from Town hall station to Sydney International airport station. I will be travelling around 645 am and would not like to keep a lot on my Opal card (because it may well be gone by the time I get back again). Where do I find the exact fare, including the surcharges to make this final trip for now? TIA.

Where to see St. Kilda's penguins?

I see that tram 12 and 96 from the CBD take me to St. Kilda's beach in 25 minutes. From there, can I see the penguins in the late evening? If so, where from? THere is a penguin tour there, I know, but it appears that they are not available.

suggestions for day tour operators for Great Barrier Reef and Daintree NP (from Cairns)

My wife and I are visiting from the US. Our plan is to spend three nights in Cairns, so I was thinking doing Daintree the first day, GBR the second and Kuranda the last day before flying on to Sydney. (I have been to both GBR and Kuranda but not to Daintree.)

I used Quiksilver the last time I went to the GBR (21 years ago) but was wondering if there are some other operators I should be considering.

I have never been to Daintree NP and so would like suggestions for day tours too if anyone has any.

Thanks!

Philip island by public transport (from Melbourne)?

My wife and I are visiting Melbourne next week and we are both great fans of public transport. From the vline site, I see that we can go to Philip Island by bus through Koo Wee Rupp (to either Cowes Transit Centre or Cowes: Cnr Thompson Ave and Walton St) arriving at 8:41 am or 1:18 pm and leaving at 6:38 pm. Is it possible to watch the Penguin Parade and still make the 6:38 pm bus? The sun sets around 5:06 pm there. Any suggestions with regard to logistics of transportation on the island? I see that there are bicycles for rent but they seem to be capped at 2 or 3 hours. It is also not clear to me what the logistics of doing a walking or bike, or even a local guided tour is. I presume it is not expected for tourists to take public transport to the island for a day trip. Of course, logistically, a guided tour from Melbourne is more risk-free but exploration is fun too.

Any advice?

how to list keys in gnome-keyring

I am trying to extract the client secret for evolution from the gnome-keyring (i use evolution-ews) and am on fedora. How do I get this?

I am not sure, but it appears that the keyring is stored at .local/share/keyrings but I can not figure out how to use secret-tool or keyring on it without knowing what attribute/value to look for.

Sorry if this is a naive question.

Priority Mail International Tracking?

At the post office yesterday, I mailed a Priority Mail International Flate Rate Envelope to India. I was expecting to see that it was moving through the network at whatever speed, but it still says "USPS in possession of item" at the Post Office (May 26, 2026 at 3:05 PM). Is this what is expected when they say tracking? Or is it stuck and forgotten at the local Post Office?

moving from fetchmail to getmail6 with outlook authenticator app support

My rather large workplace moved to Outlook for email over seven years ago that required the use of two-factor authentication (2FA) but allowed us to forward the emails to a third-party. Because I like keeping my emails locally, I forwarded my email to gmx.com and then pulled it using fetchmail however this compromise is now going to end because automatic forwarding is being disallowed. So that is my background, and it appears that I have to use a mail fetching service that allows for pulling email from the outlook account.

I do not see fetchmail as moving in this direction anytime soon in the mainline and it is not clear to me that version 7.0 is ever going to become a reality, and so I was considering moving to getmail6 after 28 years! It seems that they have some support for my new environment.

Anyway, are there any tutorials on how to modify a .fetchmailrc to a .getmailrc file? Having become ossified with the same `.fetchmailrc` really inhibits me. I looked around but could not find anything that was easy. Here is my current .fetchmailrc that works on pulling email on gmx.com -- of course, things will change with outlook but I thought I would first start here.

   set daemon 101
   poll pop.gmx.com
        protocol POP3
        service 995
        authenticate password
        user "email address at gmx"
        password "your password"
        ssl
        sslfingerprint "F8:0B:B0:FB:BF:F6:41:BA:D5:17:FC:0D:CE:67:BD:1C"
        mda 'procmail -d %s'
        keep

My question is how does the above change? I do know that `getmail` has to be run through a `cron` job, and there is no daemon, however, my understanding may be incomplete/incorrect.

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions, including on pulling email from an outlook server with 2FA!
