I’ve only been exposed to Gothic subgenres in the US, UK, Japan, Russia, Canada, Nigeria, and Mexico so far and would like to know about more countries!
Gannibal had 10 children and I tried to look but I couldn’t find if there are any present day descendant that has the family name Gannibal
Like I’m watching a grainy movie of totally random events that don’t stop moving. Is this my minds way of coping and is it normal?
Cuff Slocum’s true name was Kofi so he was definitely Akan but there are different subgroups not just Asante. Was it explicitly stated somewhere? I’m just not a fan of stating “so-and-so was from this specific ethnic group” unless there’s proof.
About Paul Cuffe (from wikipedia)
Paul Cuffe, also known as Paul Cuffee (January 17, 1759 – September 7, 1817) was a Black American and Wampanoag businessman, whaler and abolitionist. Born free into a free people of color family on Cuttyhunk Island, Massachusetts, Cuffe became a successful merchant and sea captain. His mother, Ruth Moses, was a Wampanoag from Harwich, Cape Cod, and his father an Ashanti captured as a child in West Africa and sold into slavery in Newport, Rhode Island, about 1720. In the mid-1740s, his father was manumitted by his Quaker owner, John Slocum. His parents married in 1747 in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.
First Picture: Before Change Second Picture: After Change
I don’t have the ability to change it on Wikipedia
He used to have one featuring just himself but someone changed it to a picture of himself and his American wife, Julia. The same picture is on Julia’s page. I really don’t know why someone would do that. This isn’t the Ku & Julia page, his main picture is supposed to be centering him not his marriage which by the way he wasn’t even faithful to. He had a mistress in Korea and possibly Japan the whole thing is weird.
I wouldn’t mind but this time it’d have to be a do-over and faithful to the source material
So repulsive and sounding like racist white people. I think misandry creates awful women. I don’t feel safe with them and I sure as hell don’t want this type near my family and friends. Don’t bring up misogynists because both groups disgust me. But this makes me sad and sick to my stomach in a different way. It’s like you’re seeing the rot in a person you’re supposed to be in community with I don’t know how to describe it…
Emphasizing fantasizing because that would take hella money, time, and workers. But still, imagine…
It’s been nearly 23 years (manga started in December 2003) no new content besides rehashing Part 1 so how does fandom keep going?
I really like mentor-mentee relationships and cloning is an acceptable explanation but I also think budding is really cool for how alien it is. I’d like to see it make a comeback one day and these two could be used for it.
tfwiki: Reproduction > Reproductive methods > Other means > Budding
The Transformers: Generation 2 comic revealed that, after their creation by Primus, early Transformers reproduced by "budding," a mitosis-like form of asexual reproduction whereby Transformers could rapidly reproduce by generating a mass of energized liquid metal from within their body. This mass then splits itself off from the "parent" Transformer to become a new Cybertronian. Illustrations suggest that this is something of a communal event, with others surrounding the budding robot in a circle. Once the Transformers had hit a population level that Primus deemed desirable, the practice stopped and all memory of it was erased.
When the Cybertronian faction rediscovered and revived the process over the next 4 million years after the Ark's disappearance, Primus's lifeforce was spread thinner and thinner between them, and the successive generations of budded Transformers became increasingly less sentient and emotional. The lifeform called the Swarm was created as a byproduct of the process. Transformers who have undergone the budding process retain some sort of primal link to their offspring; the Decepticon Onslaught doubles over in pain when his Cybertronian descendant Mindset is destroyed, and the Liege Maximo says he would know if his descendant, Megatron, were to die.
Not only that, but the endgame ship is an extremely minor character that they heaped copious amounts of headcanon on to. Not only that, but they’re m/f when you were reading for the m/m they did tag. Not only that, they severely dumbed down one half of the m/m pair to justify the need for the female character to come in and take his place as the one-true-love-who-understands-and-gets-stuff-done.
Just tag the second ship so I could have avoided all of this!
Even Clem herself. It was weird. She’s young I think 13? so the vibe was mature big sister
Or when was the Vastaya lore first introduced?
I’m using the app and if I try to go to my bookmarks I get kicked out. Refreshing or restarting doesn’t help either
