Thank you for the help! Wedding was a success

Made one too many posts asking for help since I was doing my own wedding makeup. Got the pro photos back and thanks to you guys I feel like my makeup turned out really nice!!!

Also my lashes aren’t wonky, my eyes are terrible and one is more droopy than the other. I could get it surgically corrected but meh?!

Another bride trying to DIY

Hi! Im clearly not a florist but I’ve been wanting to give flower arranging a go. I’m trying to make my own bridal bouquet since I’m just getting married at the courthouse and want something simple, but I’m having such a hard time getting it right!

I’m not a big fan of the stock flowers I currently have, so I’m planning to check Trader Joe’s and H-E-B for replacements.

My biggest issue is keeping the shape together. I’ll hold the bouquet in a position I really like, but as soon as I change my grip to add another flower or even try securing it with floral tape the entire look changes and moves!! How do I keep everything in place while I’m building and binding it? Any advice would be appreciated!

I don’t like my dress after alterations (9k)

Courthouse wedding is in 3 weeks so my dress has been altered and everything.

It originally had a train and i got it cut off, since then i feel like i hate the shape of the dress and i look ugly. I had a c-section and i feel like my belly is super visible even with shapewear on. I dont want to get a new dress just for the courthouse, plus i don’t have the money for it. Even worse is I hate the shoes I got as well and I am past the return date. Ugh. Just venting…

Is this bridal enough?

Made a post a little bit ago and the consensus was that i was over blending my eyeshadow and should lower the crease color. I did my best to do that, thoughts on this look?

I kinda fudged up the eyeliner on one eye and i will be wearing my glasses!

My wedding is next month!!

8 months. Feel like there’s no progress

I’ve been on tret 0.025% and AZA 15% since November 2025. I use Tret 3x a week and AzA every morning. I was up to 4x a week, but compromised my barrier some time ago so back to 3x a week.

What the heck am I doing wrong? Am I not using enough?? I’m still on my first tube from last yr.

First pic is from 2025 when I first started and second and third is today.

I also randomly get these deep large pimples which I never got before tret

AM Routine:

Cleanse with water
Azelaic acid gel 15%
Byoma hydrating milt toner
Vanicream daily facial moisturizer
Haruharu black rice SPF

PM routine:

Prequel pre-gleanse
La roche Posay hydrating gentle cleanser
Tret cream 0.025%
Byoma hydrating milky toner
Ongredients Skin Barrier calming Lotion

($7k) Invite etiquette help

We’re having a courthouse wedding with that comes a limit to how many we can bring. Family will attend the ceremony, and then we’ll have a lunch reception afterward.

The tricky part is that we’re only inviting 2–3 friend households (about 10 people total with spouses/kids), and they’d only be invited to the lunch, not the ceremony due to limits.

How would you handle the invitations? I don’t really want to order one set of invitations for family and another set just for a few friends (reception only).

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any tips????

Help with counter stools

Moving soon and can’t seem to find the right ones. I love organic modern with traditional aspects. If it helps, the whole place will have to be furnished but we do have a grey couch.

Party etiquette

My sweet girl is turning 4 and we have a lot of big life events going on with her birthday being in the middle of it. I know she wants a small party so I’m trying to do something nice while also being mindful of funds.

We are thinking of inviting a few of her class friends to a slime bar and then pizza at a nearby location. I’ll pay for both of these of course!

As a parent, would you attend this? Since it’s summer time is it okay to not invite the whole class from the past year?

Finally, should I send out e-vites since I’m not technically booking a party room?

Edit: editing to add, I can also bring a cake and small snacks. Could that be an option and nix the pizza as long as it’s not during a meal time?

Thoughts on these jeans?

I posted awhile ago and everyone told me to try low or mid rise jeans since I have a short torso. Well, mid rise still look high rise on me. These are the AE low rise straight leg jeans. Thoughts?? The next size up were too loose.

Wedding, tears and DIY makeup

Is O/S setting spray enough to combat tears on a wedding day without ruining makeup? Or should I prepare to do anything extra?

Am I wrong to celebrate my fiancé for Fathers Day?

My daughter is 4.5 years old and my fiancé has been consistently in her life since she was about 1.5 years old. Her biological father lives hours away, sees her maybe once a year, and doesn’t really call or check in unless his mom facilitates it during visits. Though, I’m not sure when/if he will move back.

My fiancé is basically the day to day father figure in her life however she doesn’t call him dad and has her own nickname for him. I also explain the concept of a stepparent to her in the best age appropriate way I can.

My family thinks it would be “wrong” for us/my daughter to get him a Father’s Day card or gift because he’s “not her real dad.” They also think he shouldn’t attend certain school events because they’re “family only,” even though he’s been a consistent part of her life for years.

Am I wrong for feeling like he is family and should be included/celebrated for the role he actually plays in her life?

Handling a big life change

My 4 year old has lived with my family basically her whole little life and we share a room after my divorce, so they’ve been a huge part of her daily routine and comfort. Later this year, I’ll be getting married and moving in with my fiancé (will be her stepdad) and we’ll be getting our own place. I’m excited, but also nervous because I know this will be a really big life change for her.

If anyone has gone through something similar, how did you help your little one adjust? Any tips for making the transition feel safe? I just want to support her the best I can through all of this.

Is this a bug bite?

Was recently in San Antonio, stayed in a hotel, and went to the wildlife ranch. I can’t tell if this is a bite or what it could be?

I know there are bats in the cavern but we didn’t go to the caverns. I was also wearing long sleeves till we got to the hotel later that night.

Deadlift weight

Maybe I’m (33F) weak, but I’ve been back in the gym since March. Since then, I’ve been doing deadlifts with 95lbs and it still feels so heavy! I’m able to advance in other lifts but deadlifts.

Should I give it more time?
