Prusa Connect Local to replace PrusaLink??
That's what today's blog post says and I don't think it's accurate. If you click the "sign up" link to test it, it says:
>Run it on your own hardware
It's a single program with nothing else to install. A Raspberry Pi Zero is enough for one printer, while a Pi 4 or 5, an old laptop, or a NAS can comfortably handle a whole workshop. Linux, macOS, and Windows all work.
That sounds great especially for people with multiple printers who want to avoid using the cloud, but that's not a replacement for PrusaLink which just runs on the printer, no additional hardware required. In the FAQ it says
>How is this different from PrusaLink?
PrusaLink is your printer's own interface: one printer, its own IP address, built into the firmware. It keeps working exactly as it does today.
From this, it seems like Prusa is not going to make any improvements to PrusaLink going forward. :-(
Also, for now, running Prusa Connect Local will preclude you from using Prusa Connect on the same printer.
