Some fun Kirbies I met at anime boston this year. I'm the one on the far left.

So my cosplay is the dress and when I lift the flap on the front its his mouth when he's inhaling. One of my favorite cosplays next to Emperor Kuzco tbh

One of my guards coughs like a beached whale when drinking coffee

First he sips his coffee kinda loud does that lip smacking thing and then the coughing starts. He does one or 2 quiet coughs then a moment later he starts coughing like a whale that just washed up in shore that's struggling to breathe. He stops then sips his coffee again snd continues the cycle. He really grinds my gears omfg

If you could somehow cauterize the wounds from slicing someone in half vertically could they stay alive?

Could a body cut in half vertically stay alive if the open flesh was cauterized?

[WP] Halloween. Your friends left you at the bar while in the toilet. As you go to leave a guy catches your eye in a red and black striped suit, little red horns, and a demon tail. Nice costume you think until you wake up with him the next morning. The horns and tail *don't* come off.

Should I report the driver to Lyft for showing a semi inappropriate movie?

So I got in my ride to work last night and the driver had a tablet showing a movie. I didn't mind it at first but as I gathered some clues from the movie it was a british film of two step siblings dating. Like they made out and at one point I think he touched her downstairs. It weirded me out so I kinda tuned it out but still feel weird about it. He may not have known what the movie was about when he loaded it up or it was auto playing from a streaming service.

Edit for clarification:

The tablet was on the back of the headrest specifically for the passenger to watch.

So my boyfriend and I are renting a house with a pond in the backyard full of frogs. What can we do to make our yard frog friendly?

My bf and I are going to be moving into a house with a pond in the backyard (pictured) up in upstate NY. The toad was found on the stairs to the front door so my bf had to move him as he almost got stepped on. The frog he tells me is a native tree frog.

I want to know if we can do anything to make the yard (pictured kinda) frog friendly. We love all nature and hike often (he's a mineral collector) but we also want to garden and actually have things to eat at the end of the season. We already spotted a few deet romping around since there's some forest around the property.

No no my bustling marketplace is finished I don't need more stuff! My brain: build a medieval bathhouse

So yeah been slogging through making a medieval island and omfg I already have 3 other player houses for a variety of things. One's a tavern, a magic school, and one's a guard barracks. So what did I do yesterday? I made another player character and plan to turn their house into a dang bathhouse... ugh

One of my guards suddenly being dismissive and arrogant

I am the supervisor and one of my guards lately has been dismissive and arrogant towards me. He won't listen when I ask him to do things like 'can you load camera set 3 on the video wall?' He goes to open camera set 1 claiming we have been using that one always and refused to load set 3. We started using set 3 like 2 months ago when one of our cameras broke. The technicians are waiting on equipment to fix it and the part they need is taking forever so per the client we need to use set 3.

I tried to tell him we don't use that one anymore and he got dismissive and a bit flippant saying 'I know we've been using this one since I got here.' 'I know *you* don't believe me but I don't care' 'You were in the room when we were told to keep using set 1.' He was in the room when the client came in to show us the new camera set so idk what the hell he was talking about.

We got a temporary replacement for the broken camera and we were told directly by the client **do not rewind it**. Every time we do the camera crashes and we have to shut down the video software on all the workstations and reboot the program. He also tried to insist we can rewind the camera because it worked once when I was in the room. When I asked what day he said 'it did happen you were here for it. You don't remember and you don't believe me not like I care.'

This was the first time he spoke to me like this. I didn't know what to say so I left the room for like 5 minutes to think about what to tell him but he just pretended nothing happened and ignored me when I came back in the room. 'I don't know what you were talking about with the cameras.' I'm going to talk to my boss when she gets in this morning. I think he was just acting entitled but I also sometimes wonder if its because he's jealous I make more money than him as the supervisor.

HE IS FINISHED!

His head is kinda off center idk how that happened... I have learned a lot making this as my first serious project and now am planning a lil diorama with a katamari on a piece of road. And no he doesn't have a hunchback that's his shoulder

Needle felting is fun but as a beginner its got a pinch of a learning curve...

I still have to finish the ring on his torso and make the legs. I may also add more to the arms and hands to make them more defined but I already partially pinned them to the body so idk.

Almost had my purse stolen at a goodwill on a trip.

TL;DR at the bottom.

2 weeks ago my boyfriend took me on a weekend trip to Maine. On the way up we stopped into a plaza to find a place to eat and noticed a goodwill. We got out to stretch as we had been on the road a few hours at that point and went in.

While perusing the aisles I saw a sweatshirt that looked super cute and took my purse off to try it on and I just left it in the baby seat part of the carriage absent-mindedly. At some point when we went to the area with the housewares my bf had taken the cart from me because he found something in the electronics section that was heavy. It was some kind of expensive tool I forgot what it was exactly as we wound up not buying it. He came back to me as I was looking at the mugs and I asked where the cart was. We freaked out and ran back to find an employee taking the cart to the back. I ran after her telling her to please stop I want my purse. She ignored me and took the cart into the employee only area in the back.

I went to the employee door and saw her leaving my cart by the door. Another employee I guess who heard me yelling or something asked what was wrong. I explained that our cart was right there can we have it back please. She said she had to get the manager before she could give me the cart back so now I am freaking out as my purse is sitting right there with my wallet and phone in it. I said fuck it and was about to grab my purse and just leave when the manager came over and asked what happened. I again explain everything and she goes to grab the cart but the cart was gone. I then can hear some employee in the back loudly exclaiming things about my purse.

'Oh wow a pax east bag? This will fetch a nice price on ebay!'

'There's a wallet in here too? Let me see... oh ten dollars cash and two debit cards?'

'No way! Is this an ipod nano?! Its even hot pink! This is coming home with me!'

The manager confronted the employee who was rifling through my bag and I overheard her telling the employee to put the stuff back now or she was getting written up. A moment later the whole cart is returned to me and my bf and I stand there going through my bag and realize my ipod did not make it back in there nor did my venmo debit card. The manager got the employee to come out and turn out her pockets but she kept awkwardly shuffling her feet around. Her pockets turned up empty but as she walked away claiming she had returned them and I misplaced them her boss asked why her sock had a bulge in it and realized she stuffed my ipod and my card in her sock.

I got all my stuff back and I am unsure of what happened to the employee but we abandoned the cart and just left. The whole thing happened so fast like less than 5 minutes from the cart being taken and the manager showing up. My bf kept saying he was going to call the cops and he was about to when the employee was told to turn out her pockets. It was a mess but I didn't let it sour our whole trip tho.

TL;DR Left my purse in a goodwill carriage and an employee attempted to steal it.

Oh look a strawberry!

Working out things like shapes and stuff I think its going well. My seeds could have been a little smaller but the top looks good. Still working on the perfectly smooth finish tho. It may be my wool or my needle but either way I am happy with the results and hopefully will make a mushroom garland before my next LARP game

How do you deal with a guard that acts like an entitled diva?

So my jobsite is 24/7 staffed and I am the supervisor for 3rd shift. We aren't allowed to go home until our replacement shows up. One of our 1st shift guys took some leave and is back now but only part time. This means for 3 days a week we need coverage for 1st so its been a tag team of myself, my other guard, and one of the 2nd shift guards covering. If no one picks up the shift you have to stay. This has lead to me and my other guard pulling doubles. Its been frustrating to say the least.

My guard I called a diva in the title is about as entitled as they come. He refuses all doubles and any overtime citing various appointments or crying about how he can't sleep even if he stays an hour or 2 late. Mind you he has the shortest commute out of all the employees at a 3 minute walk! He even got a doctor's note about being exempt from forced doubles from his therapist. He makes a big deal about getting a specific chair and the only radio with a clip still on it when in the office and just does the bare minimum at the job head down staring at his phone all night with 2 headphones in.

The worst part is my bosses know and can't really do anything because he hasn't technically violated company policy. Myself and the other guard are at our wits end. After having to stay through first shift yesterday I am done. My roommate started a new job yesterday and had to leave super early at like 5:30am so I couldn't feed my cat until about 4:30pm. I had to send him home yesterday because he said he had an appointment and he couldn't reschedule it at all. He refused to say what the appointment was for and and had the audacity to say:

'You need to stay since I can't and other guard did a double yesterday. My appointment is *too* important for me to miss!'

I called my boss and she sighed heavily telling me to send him home when guard 2 on 1st shift showed up and she would have a conversation about how he speaks to me. I nearly exploded on him and when I came in tonight he noticed I was in a very bad mood and asked what was wrong. I glared and growled a very stern 'I'm not talking to you today'.

I don't know what to do about this prissy little diva. I won't get into how dirty and gross he is as I don't want to make anyone sick or whatevs but like yeah We are all done and until my boss can transfer him to the other site in this contract I am stuck with his bitch ass!

TL;DR guard refuses all overtime and to even stay 5 mins late because he's always busy and makes it everyone else's problem

Thank you.

Edit: for the record its contract security for critical infrastructure for the government. The client has it in the contract we will have 3 people on site at all times. And they are not flexible on that at all. They won't let my boss hire part time people anymore except for the weekends. I am unsure why so thats beyond me as the decision was made before I got hired 2 years ago.

So there's a local cosplayer to my area who did a version of Hatsune Miku that was an homage to a local coffee chain that's really popular and kinda the signature of the area. They are suing her for her costume. The coffee shop is suing this cosplayer BECAUSE SHE DID A COSPLAY THAT WAS A PARODY OF THEIR BUSINESS! She's stated time and time again that she did it as a parody and doesn't represent the coffee chain and she doesn't make money off of the cosplay at all. A CORPORATION IS SUING A LITERAL SMALL TIME COSPLAYER BECAUSE THEY THINK HER COSTUME IS HURTING THEIR MILLION DOLLAR BUSINESS!

Fuck Dunkin Donuts! Down with Dunkins!

There was this really cool restaurant we were going to. There were 12 of us and the table they sat us at wasn't big enough so I for whatever reason got sat alone. No one was allowed to sit with me the server kept blocking anyone from coming over to my table. Borderline nightmare for me as I woke up really sad.
