NDS emulation....worth it?

I have the trim UI brick and have a variety of different consoles I use for the emulation. Game boy advance is the primary one that I use. I do know that apparently you're able to do it with a Nintendo DS, but I'm curious as to how that actually works since most of those games require a touch screen or being able to see two screens. Does anyone have advice or recommend doing NDS emulation or is it not worth the hassle?

I have genuine difficulty watching Cape Fear (1991) and not just seeing Donald Rumsfeld whenever Nick Nolte is on screen

What do you think is likely to be next for Rockstar after GTA 6?

Clearly, production will begin on a new game following GTA VI's release. I'm curious to know what everyone's thoughts are regarding what could potentially be on the creative conveyor belt for Rockstar.

RDR 3: due to the massive amounts of popularity, this seems like an obvious choice. That being said, since they did make that their last game in between GTA VI and GTA V I'm not certain that this is the franchise that they're immediately going to select to jump back into. I think that Red Dead 2 is easily one of the best games ever made so I wouldn't necessarily be mad if this was the path they chose.

Bully 2: while a long shot, bully has garnered a pretty massive cult following over the years. We know that there were at least two attempts to develop a sequel that was scrapped. Dan howser cited the primary issue with the development being bandwidth issues, so with as much time passing and technological advancement as we have had since their last attempt, maybe that would give them a reason to return to this project.

L.A. Noire 2 or spiritual successor: much like Bully, this game has developed a pretty massive cult following. Arguably more than Bully has. Couple this with them appointing Brendan Mcnamara (the head project director on L.A. Noire) as head of a rockstar development studio in Australia and you do have an interesting case for this being likely. I would have to imagine given the controversy Mcnamara had with L.A. Noire's development that they would have to feel like they NEED him for something specific to provide him a leadership role again. Along with that you have the progression in technological developments that would allow a more fully realized vision of the facial reading initially envisioned for the original game's interrogation gameplay. There was an attempted sequel in development previously but was ultimately dropped prior to the completion. However, Rockstar has not abandoned this intellectual property entirely. In more recent years they released a VR Port, and more importantly a remaster which to me shows their interest in keeping this franchise in the public eye. There have been quotes from higher ups at Rockstar talking about how they view L.A Noire as one of their major franchises.

Max Payne 4: rumors recently began circling around the remasters for the original 2 PlayStation 2 titles being developed as of recently. This could certainly be an indication that they plan on attempting to continue this franchise.

New game: there have been a number of canceled or rumored original projects in more recent years. Games such as Spy, which I think is going to be less likely due to the success of Hitman and the likely success of James Bond: First Light later this month. The most recent rumor I've heard regarded an open world style game set in medieval times. While I think a game like that would have a more difficult time competing with something like Kingdom Come Deliverance, I do know that Warhorse Studios did offer to assist Rockstar in development if that was the project they decided to work on next.

I'm curious as to what everyone here speculates to be next. Personally I'd love all of these options but I think the best and potentially most likely is a spiritual successor to L.A. Noire. To me, the hiring of McNamara to lead Rockstar Australia, the advancements in facial scan tech, the massive cult following, and most importantly the lack of ANY other franchise or game to fill the void that game left all seem like great reasons to begin work on that particular project.

Here is my attempt to create a James Bond inspired workout routine!

I've been a fan of Bond and fitness for quite some time. I recently had begun to think about what types of workouts bond would do to be able to provide him with the required strength, muscle mass, cardio ability, and core strength for his various missions. Another key aspect I focused on was making the workouts require minimal equipment and little time to complete.

I personally have found this routine very satisfying. If anyone decides to give it a go please let me know!

To those who have read them, what are your thoughts on Christopher Hitchens work regarding presidents/figures in American Political History?

This may not be allowed here but I grew up a massive Spider-Man fan. I had always wanted a dog but wasn't able to get one until I had moved out. I ended up getting a beautiful, happy, red golden retriever and he became my best friend. Naming him after my hero, he definitely helped me get through every day that was rough. He got diagnosed with an aggressive cancer about 7 months ago and he had been doing so well with fighting it but this morning I had to call it and Peter Barker was put to sleep in his bed after lots of treats and love. I know this isn't the typical thing posted here but he fit the name so so well I wanted to post this here to tell every member of the community to spoil their friendly neighborhood good boys and girls. Give them lots of love for my Pete.

This is the worst I've ever felt in my life. He had Hermangiosarcoma and had an amputation, got treatment, and did so so well. He was my first dog and will almost certainly be the best dog I will ever have. It's a bizarre feeling to have known for months that this was going to happen and still feel as though it happened so quickly you couldn't grasp it. The most I can do is take solace in knowing I've done everything that I could do, I got him about 7 months worth of extra great quality life, and he got to go in his bed after a lot of treats, chicken, cheese, and pizza. It does feel traumatic, but I would prefer only getting 4 years with him over 15 of any other dog.

The rules didn't say anything against cursing so of course the obligatory fuck cancer. Fuuuuuuuck cancer.

Everybody give your good boys/girls extra treats and love today for Pete if you would.
