Engineering grads of Ontario Tech, how are you doing right now?
What engineering major? Which industry, and salary?

Just curious, for those of you who have entered the workforce, how is working as an engineer compared to being an engineering student.
Is it more stressful? More work? Or is it relatively "easier" than being a student.
Going into 2nd year of engineering. Will I have free time for things like clubs and projects?
Going into 2nd year for mechatronics. How much free time will I have for things like clubs and projects? Doing a full course load.
45k for a Cullinan ain't bad tbh 🤣. Nevertheless the silver colour looks amazing on that thing.
The rent is $750 a month for a room 5 mins from the university. No internet however all other amenities are included.
Preferably male and in 1st or 2nd year engineering, as the other students are also alike.
Please feel free to reach out if this place interests you! Thank you!
If you had the power to introduce new laws and bills, what type of laws would you introduce into our current capitalist environment to make it better for both business owners and ordinary citizens? And why?
As the tile. I'm in mechatronics but could I take more mechanical engineering courses? I understand there is some overlap between majors, however, is there a possibility I can take more mechanical engineering specific courses like vibrations etc etc?
Body cams could offer transparency for police departments across the country, and could tackle the issue of unlawful/corrupt officers, which is a pretty big problem within our police force.
Title basically. Just trying to educate myself. Does this system even exist? For example the government owns 15% of a very profitable company and received a set amount of dividends. Could the government use dividends to possibly fund things like healthcare, education and defense and other social programs alongside reduced taxes?
Would this still encourage foreign investment? Innovation?

Hello! There is a room for rent near Ontario Tech for a good price.
DM for more info. Thank you!
So I started building a plane and bought all the equipment, but I didn't really think about the small things. For example I bought a battery with a deans connector, only to find out that deans plugs are really outdated and way less reliable and even laughed at (lol)
And to make things worse I bought one of those hella cheap yellow ESCs to keep things really low cost and just to find out they are really unreliable as hell and could burn up at any moment.
My question is should I delay my build and buy better equipment like a better ESC? Or should I just build it and upgrade later on? Any advice is appreciated! Thank you!
Clarence Wijewradene, Milton Mallawarachci, Jothipala, JA Milton Perera, TM Jayarathna, Amaradewa are some examples of iconic singers who wrote Sinhala songs, and they are really nice songs.
I don't think many Sri Lankans listen to the original versions, but rather covers. For example 2Forty2 has some amazing covers of Clarence's songs.
I really hope the future generations don't give up on listening/singing these songs, and continue the legacy of these iconic singers.
I am in Canada, and here mechatronics is a well known discipline. I also understand its rather still new in the US but there are some ABET accredited programs at some unis.
I really love aircraft/spacecraft but didn't go for mechanical because I loved electrical eng/software as well I thought mechatronics might give me a nice balance.
But that being said I'm curious what y'all here think what kind of jobs I can possibly land in the aerospace industry. Below is what my degree looks like in general. Any advice is appreciated.
Year 1
Introduction to engineering
Calc 1
Linear algebra
Physics 1
Engineering communications
Chemistry for engineers
Engineering design
Intro to programming (c++)
Calc 2
Physics 2
Year 2
Differential eqns for engineers
Statics
Concurrent engineering and design
Circuits and electronics
Object oriented programming and design
Computational engineering applications
Solid mechanics 1
Dynamics
Circuit design for Mechatronics
Electronic applications in mechatronics
Statistics and probability for engineers
Year 3
Thermodynamics and heat transfer
Computer Aided Design
Kinematics and dynamics of machines
Systems modeling
Microprocessors and digital systems
Liberal studies elective
Engineering economics
Fluid mechanics
Actuators and power electronics
Sensors and instrumentation

Edit: reposted, this is a discussion now.

Yk, go clubbing, parties etc etc. How was the social life in general?
It's the only ESC I can get immediately at my local RC store, so I don't need to wait 4-5 days of shipping time if I order online.
Its a FMS predator ESC btw.
Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.
Title basically. If you use them, how has your experience been?
Title basically. How often do they add aircraft? A 737 max would lowk be nice, or an a350. I was pretty excited when they added the a330-300 and gosh I was actually surprised by how good it was.
