Grade II listed, built in 1855. Contained a library, provided healthcare & was an inspiration to Nye Bevan for the future NHS. Closed in 1986.

The Locarno Ballroom, Swindon
This building built in 1854 has been the town hall, corn exchange, ballroom, roller rink, cinema, dance hall, concert venue & bingo hall - finally closed its doors in the mid-80s & was practically destroyed by fire in 2003.
