I was going to do a Thai green chicken curry but decided to do beef instead. But my girlfriend doesn't really eat steak or other big chunks of beef; she'll only eat mince, with one exception: she likes slow-cooked stews. So fusion time!
Diced about 400 g of braising steak and coated it in seasoned (salt, pepper, chilli flakes) flour and fried it in some oil to brown it. Then put it in the oven on a low temperature (140°C) with some beef stock, sliced lemongrass, lime leaves, and two tablespoons of Thai green curry paste.
After a couple of hours added 200 mL of coconut milk then returned to the oven.
Another two hours and added the rest of the coconut milk, two more tablespoons of green curry paste, green beans, potato, water chestnuts, and bamboo shoots.
Served with boiled basmati rice and topped with coriander and Thai basil.
Sweetheart cabbage, carrot, red onion, light mayo, and wholegrain mustard.
They seemed to have got it to work reliably for a while, but for the last week I don't think I've been able to access it.
Does anybody know any news?

Zapiekanka is a Polish street food popular since the 1970s, consisting of mushrooms and cheese (typically gouda) toasted on one side of a baguette. They are often excessively long. One common topping is ketchup, but I'm not six years old so I went with tomato relish instead.
