Tableau requirement from scratch

Hey I got tagged to a project at my organisation for a RETAIL client. They need someone to make sense of their data, find patterns, forecast and explain their data to them so they can try new pricing and discounts depending on the geographical location and price profiles.

I've worked in the past as part of the team where most things were already set up and I just got requirements from a BA and created the workbooks.

This client doesn't have that and I'm the only one here who's gonna be creating tableau reports.

Anyone suggest how to start and do this from scratch?

What key points should I consider?

How should I approach the cloud vs server approach?

How do I join and figure out the data they have cause right now all they have is data in some snowflake server and I have to be the person who uses sql to fetch that.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Hey can anyone at senior management confirm or hint if Deloitte is also planning for a permanent WFH as per the recent norms now? Another big4 pwc also did the same and gave their employees WFH for a whole year.

I have to start renting in pune I don't wanna be stuck if they give WFH in the next few weeks or months

Room setup: matress, desk, chair

How do I set this room up?

This is the only window I'll have in this home. No common balcony to sit and stare at the trees.

Currently only thinking of purchasing the essentials:

a 5 or 6inch double bed mattress

a height adjustable work desk

an ergonomic work chai

Basic amenities like gym, cycling track, running track.

6 km from international tech park, kharadi.

I Work in corporate, keep to myself and keep the place clean.

Need a male flatmate to share the rent with who also works in the same area.

We can go talk to the owner about an agreement and move in immediately.

Hi guys, I joined on Monday and today I got a call for a project. Instead of a discussion it was more of an interview and I couldn't articulate a couple of scenarios that they asked me to tackle through.

At the end the person didn't tell anything about the project they're from or any eta for an update regarding the project?

Does this mean I've been rejected?

Will I get calls for more project opportunities?

This wasn't through my deployment or oba (maybe it was but I'm not aware)

What should I do?

I did assure him that it's something that I've not worked on previously as it's comparatively a new technology and given a couple of days I'd get well versed in the concepts and get back to him. Should I follow up on Monday with the person? if yes then how and what should I say/ask,

That d start portal that we have. There are a lot of pending tasks there but idk how to go through the resources as they are not accessible.

In my personal laptop it's not opening and in the Deloitte laptop I don't have access to login via an external email

And the Deloitte email isn't working on that website.

What's the way to complete those?

It's my first day today and I've no information about anything. I've just been provided the laptop and id card.

Is it normal for HR to verbally confirm the changes and additions they're making to the revised offer letter but later 2 days before the joining deny and say that the business didn't approve?

They've updated my role from consultant to analytics and insights engineer - ll

Is this a good change or not?

Should I be concerned about this. The hr said that this is just some restructuring and a more specific term for the role I've been hired as.
