Hi guys so recently I got into this stuff playing with various local llm models and trying out mcp's and other interesting stuff like heretic versions and all.

However as I am diving deep, I am not able to understand a lot of terms like top p, k, inference, training, llama cpp, presence, repeat penalty, gguf and hardware thing like layers, universal kv etc etc which I want to tune as per my liking or atleast understand how they effect the responses.

Now I am a complete newcomer to this stuff, not in AI like rag and stuff but more towards learning and understanding this terminology. Is there any guide someone can provide which can help me understand this stuff? I know this may be a part of ML or deep learning but I may not want to go that route and learning in that domain purely but just enough so I can play with models that community provides on huggingface for instance. Just enough knowledge so I can understand what author has changed, and what diff diff terminology or methods or this llama, vllm stuff means and what are all these overwhelmimg settings on lm/unsloth studio.

Hi guys so I want to play quidditch custom map with my friends but it seems the methods have been changed since the EAC update.

So first I installed map textures from bakkesmod website to cookedpcconsole directory. Then I had the competitive quidditch upk file which I moved to mods directory in cookedpcconsole after which I opened RL without anti cheat. In bakkesmod, I had the rocket plugin in which I was able to select the competitive quidditch map but when I host it - the textures are black. Can anyone tell whats wrong?

Once this is fixed then I can get my friends connected on radmin/himachi and can play but this textures showing black is just whole another problem.

Hi guys so I will try to be as accurate possible.

So whenever I binge watch a series in one sitting (8-9 hours) or watch LOT of movies in a day with full focus and consume hell lot of content - when I sleep that day, my mind starts drifting to thinking about that series and feels like I am in it. I am not asleep but its like I am hallucinating and my mind starts racing with mild headache. Its like I cant keep my mind calm and everytime I go in a bit of sleep state - the thoughts come again and with that a lot of stress and I cant keep those thoughts and anxiety away so I cant sleep calmly and its just my mind cant stop thinking about that series events or imagining that I am in it.

And then when I am fully asleep, when I do wake up mid night - the thoughts come back and I am thinking about that series again and then I sleep again.

I dont know if it made sense but any way I can stop that affecting my sleep?

Hi guys so in my team there are 2 people, me being the senior one which is doing most of the work in the project. The other person is more like a shadow resource intern which may get removed coz of bad performance. So this leaves me being the only person in my manager's team.

I had joined this company back in July 2025 but yet didn't got any appraisal. The company is complete remote so due to this no one knows what appraisal other colleagues got or are there any ppl who actually got hike in first place.

My manager had referred me into this company and I have very informal good relationship with him (used to moonlight with him as well sometime. Plus in the performance review call, no issues were pointed out but only praise and compliments.)

Now my question is - how do I ask for appraisal? I expect some appraisal as its been an year now but how do I ask it? Should I just ask informally to him that what is the appraisal scene here? As I told he is very informal with me outside the org as well.

Hi guys so I just completed my vkyc for the amex plat reserve card. I am planning to downgrade to smart earn as soon I get the card as you can't directly apply to smart earn it seems.

For the people who have done this in the past, have a few queries.

1. do I need to make a payment of 25-30k before downgrading or can I directly go to the downgrade link? (is the payment jus required for the points or can it be skipped too?)
2. If I get card tomorrow and dont activate it, can I still apply for downgrade? Or the card still must be activated before applying for downgrade? Asking as it will prevent me paying the 10k fees incase the downgrade didnt work as I didnt activate the card
3. What if I activate the card and then the smart earn downgrade didnt work - would I be able to cancel the card and prevent paying the 10k fees?

Hi guys so I just finished HZD + HFW + Burning shores DLC and now just looking for any recommendations for very similar kind of game.

I don't like horror/zombie games or games which have tense/depressing/negative graphics if that makes sense. I am looking for graphics similar to horizon and should be colorful/joyful/beautiful scenery and just very positive.

Plus I love the character development of aloy and her style so maybe game which has similar protagonist is very preferable. Please dont recommend very old games as graphics is a big selling point to me.

So I just completed both HZD and HFW, but did not understand exactly the plan to capture heph in gemini.

As GAIA had mentioned, she has to be connected to a node in cauldron network so she can trap heph in another node and then start the merge as it was too powerful to be contained to a container like other subfunctions.

Then aloy got omega clearance from ted faro tomb and somehow shared it with beta? how? Also there was no override device or anything? Seeing in the cutscene that aloy and beta just state the name and rank but they did not attach any override to the node in gemini? How that works?

As per my understanding, the clearance is required to capture the functions right? So why was it required to merge heph with gaia? For other functions to merge, the clearance was not required and aloy just put it in a thing where gaia was residing and gaia merged it automatically. And if clearance is required to merge with gaia then why aloy and beta gave clearance to 2 diff nodes and not only the one which had gaia in it in gemini?

All this makes the process faster as gaia had 2 omega clearances? But how will that make it faster? Its just a clearance isnt it?

Ignore the background noise as that is expected (in a non treated room) but not sure why the thin beep sound is coming (which wasnt earlier but now)

My setup is sm58 plugged to audient id14 which is plugged to pc using USB A.

Hi guys so I have a legion 27q 10 monitor which I bought 3-4 months ago. I observed a thin line on the monitor and called support post which they did all the verification on camera and confirmed that this is a hardware issue and would require replacement.

Now surprisingly as per communication, it seems they are sending a used monitor as a replacement which seems very odd to me. They mentioned it will be in a working condition... like really and why would I accept a used product as a replacement?

Is this usual with legion support or does anyone has experienced this? As this seems very disappointing to me.

Hi guys so I am using elgato 4k x with a ps5 with HDR on (On when supported mode).

In elgato studio, the hdr tone mapping is enabled and on OBS, below are the settings.

I want to stream in SDR only even if I am playing on HDR.

Hi guys so I have recently started playing FH6 on my HDR monitor. Problem is on OBS the colors are extremely washed out.

I tried using color space as Rec. 2100 (PQ) in game capture properties and that does bring the colors back but the video is dim and not popping (vs when I disable hdr in game).

When I disable HDR in game, I get perfect colors and brightness. Can anyone assist can I keep HDR enabled while playing and fix the colors while streaming?

PS - I have tried adding filters like tone mapping, color correction but none of them works (I believe if source is HDR, the filters do not work).

Hi guys so I am pretty new to this twitch streaming and have done the below twitch bandwidth test.

The nearest server to me is the Mumbai one but for some reason the quality is less 94, on the other hand other servers such as seoul, sydney have quality 100 but high rtt.

Can someone advise which is the best option here?

Setup - SM58 connected via XLR to scarlett solo 4th gen

Hi guys so I have suddenly started facing this issue where in my recordings I have a background electrical noise suddenly. I have 2 SM58s and changing them didn't made any difference so I know its not a mic problem. I have been using this interface for a week as well and this is the first time I am having this issue so I am thinking could it be an XLR cable issue?

The interface itself has a default preamp noise but the electrical buzz I am getting is something when happens when I connect a mic through XLR. I have attached a sound recording how its sounding in a silent room without my speaking into the mic - https://voca.ro/1eJVaCNLCVZt

The gain on the interface is max so it will give some airy top noise but its the electrical buzz thats adding to the problem. The buzz was not there initially and suddenly introduced in the recording.

Note - Coming onto the location, I have lot of electronics around the interface like UPS, triple monitors, controllers, ps5, pc tower.
