women are shamed for exploring their sexuality but men arent?

i have always wondered this; why if a woman brings up their topic of masturbation she is seen as beizzat or badqirdar but for men its so common and normal??? im not sure but i know women in pakistan do masturbate and its fine and normal to explore their body because at some point every female unintentionally gets a feeling of such; its basic biology. AnywaysI have a friend who does it. She is the loveliest sweetest person, and she introduced to me this topic when i was like 18. One day me and my guy friend were having a discussion on this, and he straight up said “larkian itni gandi hogaye hain they rub themselves to masturbate” and i told him bhai tum nai karte kiya? He always insists its different because guys “cant” control it but girls can. Ick. Normal hai yar pata nai kiyun abhi tak itni outdated soch rakhi hai

edit: weirdos pls dont message me i am not going to entertain ur shit. Ek to pakistani subreddit pe kuch bhi post karo to tharki ajate hai

Why are some clients like this?

basically me and my senior were employed on the pretense of 30k PKR and 40k pkr for Part time job of 3hrs a day 5 days a week. Seems very fair since she lives in the UK and 80£ a month is nothing for her. Guess what; after a month of me working my ass off, she tells me she meant 30k on a full time pay and not a part time so im getting half of that. What the fuck man. Why do people like this exist. she initially told me shell be paying me 30k and then 40k on a part time pay and now has completely switched. I am an 18 year old in college who is trying to support her college fees by managing social media, makinf educational video shorts on youtube and reels. This is not rigjt man :/ my senior was given the same pay as me for 2 months of work which is even more unfair since he is more qualified than me (hes in business dept) im in design and media . Pls help

Issue with remittance platform due to no last name

acha i posted on this subreddit before too asking for methods for remote payment from the UK. You guys recommended Remitly and Taptapsend. However now theres another issue. My official Nadra documented ID has my first name in it only (assume im hina ali (not a real name obviously) but its registered as hina only). On my nayapay Visa card it also says hina only. When im sending my employer my details so she could send me via remitly she said it isnt letting me forward because the last name portion is blank. What should i do in a situation like this?

I want to ask, whats the best way for my boss to transfer money to me? She said bank transfer but i heard its not the best method for nayapay. I only have Nayapay as of now since i am freshly 18. Shes a bit old so she doesnt understand other apps as much. Is Wise a good payment app? I need a quick transfer too. I can wait a day or two but not a week since ive to pay for things

why are pashtun men so controlling?

for context i am pashtun myself and am currently a bit serious with another pashtun guy now dont attack me for this we are very respectful and will be looking forward for rishta soon inshallah. The thing is, hes quite loving and has always lit a smile on my face yet has this complex che sarhi ba khabara awri pura wakh aor dasi aghasi khair i agree to an extent i mean in Islam we have to listen right, but like over the most basic stuff man. I was born abroad and raised in karachi in a good society where women can hangout and students can do their extracurricular activities so i am the type of person who always chases them. I do hijab too, and i love attending new events and experiencing everything such as debating events and sports tournaments etcetc. Thing is now he is being really off with the idea of me going to a debating contest even, always talking about men being there. He says he trusts me but not the men but i do full hijab. Like thats not going to be a gunah for me but for them if theyre staring and besides not all men are like that many are respectful only some r jerks. I also am studying math phy and chem in A levels which r male majority but i always keep my distance from them and never entertain yet still he doesnt want me going to these events. I obviously argue about it because my conservative parents r so supportive then why isnt he considering his family is way more open minded than my family is. I try telling him ill do full niqab and like he can take my social accounts and check for himself but he didnt listen and im just being ignored since days now. I dont know man i love my pashtun fellas but this controlling thing has suffocated me :(

62+ for P12 Threshold?????

so im getting 59-60/75 in p12 and s1 assessed marks. genuinely so tired and demotivated after opening every guess of threshold of p12 and only seeing 60 of 62 or fk what even 65. Like lets be so forreal a format that was completely diffetent than what we have attempted before with 2 atrocious 7 markers and considering it was a resit (so students didnt even get that much time to prepare for it again) are yall so sure itll reach this high?? The thresholds for the last 5 years have reached 61 highest in m/j 2025 but that wss because free marks were handed out to the leaked questions in all of the papers, and it was easier than 2026 resit exam. I know im panicking when theres nothing that can be done ab it but cmon guys 62 is unrealistic. Paper was mid it wasnt that hard but it wasnt that easy either.. what are you guys’ realistic predictions for AS P12?

Is getting a 1500+ manageable with 30min to 1hr per day?

i will be starting prep from tomorrow guys i did a practice test with little to no preparation and i am like getting 3-4 questions wrong on all the modules each like reading and writing mod 1 and 2 same for math, that too without any prep. For context i am an A Level Maths student so maths is super easy for me to manage. English is tricky but not extremely hard for me since i gave FLE exam where they require us to analyse the texts. I just want to ask, how many hours per day is best for me to get a score thats more than 1500 on the september sat? And could you guys please recommend any tips to stay consistent since i fail to do so due to me also doing a part time job. Thanks

Essay topics

im an 18 year old female pakistani applicant applying internationally but i dont know what to write in the personal statement essay. could you guys help me out? I have a couple ideas

  1. using the word adjust to describe my hate and love for it. hate in a sense that i was born and raised in a conservative household w my parents sharing traditions with afghans (my ethnicity is native to afg) and i was always told growing up to adjust to the feminine values set by these cultures, but i disagreed and always rebelled against it as it was limiting me to just a woman. Ofc itll be more developed sharing my experiences. Love in a sense that adjusting to ehat i had made me find my passion for digital art with just a phone and how since a child to this day i have used it as a strength for me not as a limitation, which also got me a remote international job as a graphic designer

  2. sharing the thoughts anf feelings i went through after my mom went through high risk pregnancy after 13 years of her last child, battling preeclampsia, post partum depression and psychosis and how i developed maturity as being the sole housekeeper for a family of 5 whilst also managing my AS levels. And like how it enabled me to find joys in the hardest times by learning my passion for cooking and using it as a love language by feeding others and loving their feedback from it

hi guys im a pakistani applicant with good extracurriculars and good grades coming from an IGCSE A level background. the thing is im very confused as of now. i want to apply in ED1 genuinely but i have participated in this international well known creative contest and i am expecting to get some level of honorary award in it, which could significantly help my application. However the results release in late november, and ED1 applications close in november 1st i assume. So should i risk it and apply in ED1 or wait until i get my results and then apply in ED2 ?

CSR-X Research Program or FXB Climate Advocates Program?

Hey everyone,
I got accepted into FXB Climate Advocates, and i have also given my application for CSR-X, though results will come out tomorrow. I can only do one and I’m not sure which is the better choice.
A bit about me: I’m a high school student interested in CS, applying to unis this cycle, and I’m trying to choose the program that I’d learn the most from.
The only issue is that with FXB, I don’t know how much I’d be able to do the community project part because of transportation and family restrictions, and I don’t really have anyone around me to work with. CSR-X seems like it’d be easier for me to fully participate in since it’s research-based.
Has anyone here done either of these programs? Which one would you recommend and why? I’d love to hear about your experience or any pros and cons before I decide.
Thanks!

Need Advice on My CS “Spike” (International | Pakistan | NYUAD)

Hi everyone,
I’m an international applicant from Pakistan applying for **Computer Science** this admissions cycle, with **NYU Abu Dhabi** as one of my top choices.
I’m not necessarily looking for a full chance me (although opinions are welcome). What I’m really struggling with is whether my extracurricular profile tells a coherent story and whether the project I’m considering would strengthen it. (Ignore the ecas and awards if you want to)
**Academics**
Cambridge curriculum
IGCSE: 2A\*, 5A, 1B
Predicted A Levels: AAB
SAT: Currently scoring around **1480–1510** on practice tests (official test upcoming)
**Extracurriculars**
Head of IT & Design
Vice President, Debate & Declamation Society
Secretary General, Arts & Dramatics Society
Founder of my college’s Talent Show
Graphic Designer & Lead Video Editor for my school’s MUN
Peer Tutor for students from different educational boards
Digital artist since 2017 - freelanced, participated in the Bow Seat ocean awareness contest
Joined Global social leaders and built a small project especially towards helping poor laborers with food that work in harsh conditions with low pay, engaged students via speeches and contests like art contests.
volunteered in multiple breast awareness events
Microsoft Hackathon participant
**Awards**
Gold Medalist, International Bebras Computing Contest (IBIC) (Highest National)
Silver & Bronze Awards, Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition
4× World Scholar’s Cup Global Round Qualifier
Top Position in Science & Technology National, World Scholar’s Cup
Top 10 in Writing, World Scholar’s Cup
Special Mention Award, IBA MUNIK
Parliamentary Debate Champion (2×)
International Art Competition Winner
Winner of one module, RMC Science Olympiad
HIPPO English Olympiad Semi-finalist (2×)

Initially, I planned to study Engineering, but over the past year I realized that Computer Science is what I genuinely want to pursue. I’m currently learning Python through CS50P (still fairly early in the course).
The thing that’s bothering me is that my ECs don’t seem to have one obvious “spike.” They show leadership, communication, design, and academics, but I’m not sure they connect well enough for a CS applicant.
Instead of forcing myself to build an AI/ML project just because many competitive applicants seem to have one, I’m considering creating a multilingual (Pashto/Urdu) digital platform that helps women in northern Pakistan access verified information about legal rights, NGOs, shelters, helplines, and other support resources. My goal would be to combine programming, design, and social impact into one meaningful project.
**My questions are:**
Does this seem like the right direction for my profile as a CS applicant?
Would this project strengthen my application more than a generic AI project, assuming it’s well-built and genuinely useful?
Does my current profile feel too scattered, or is there already a narrative that I’m not seeing?
I’d really appreciate honest feedback. I’m less interested in whether I’ll get into a specific university and more interested in whether I’m spending the next few months on the right kind of project.

Also: Most likely ill be writing an essay on how i developed my passion for cooking in addition to how i express my happiness with it after my mother went through severe preeclampsia and suffered with extreme post partum depression after which i had to become a sole caretaker for a family of 5 for over an year whilst managing my AS levels, i wont make it a pity story, but will mention how it helped me realise the importance of not overburdening oneself, and finding the good even in such tough circumstances (something like what neitzsche said,”**He who has a why to live can bear almost any how.)**

Thanks!
