Hey everyone! I'm u/zzzaaabbbuuullluuuss, a founding moderator of r/rentparty.

This is a new space to post original artwork for sale. The catch is everything must be subject to negotiation between buyers and sellers. The idea here is that collectors can seek out up and coming artists who they can buy work from at a price they're comfortable with, and us artists can keep surviving.

What to Post

Original artwork. Traditional printmaking is allowed but digital reproductions are not. You may, and are encouraged to advertise your Etsy or other e-commerce page for this purpose!! The reason behind this is that the prices are already set on these sites and may not be negotiated.

Community Vibe

We're artists. We're struggling. We gotta eat. We gotta create.

Peace and love are the commanding tenants in this space. Build eachother up. Do not rip on someone's art because you dislike it.

Comparison is the thief of joy. Do not resent others for their skill, or think you are somehow less worthy. We all do this differently and we must learn to lean into our strengths ☮️
