Is this a yellow crowned night heron? In SW Nova Scotia, Canada

Sorry for the poor picture quality. My parents saw this guy/gal last week in southern Nova Scotia which seems to be out of range for a yellow crowned night heron but I'm not sure what else it could be.

Featherless headed fledgling I photographed today?

Took this photo because this northern cardinal fledgling appears to be featherless on his head! Has anyone ever seen this? Is it a mutation?

Juvenile blue heron, bittern..??

Just saw this fellow walking in my yard. Nearest body of water is 5 miles from me. Sorry the pictures aren’t better but it flew off when I tried getting closer.

What type of heron is this?

I saw this bird on a morning walk at Harvey Park lake a few days ago. The Merlin Bird ID app said it might be a Black Crowned Night Heron, but the neck looks too long.

Why is this cardinal so chopped

(Illinois) sorry for bad quality, phone camera bad. Anyway, why is he so chopped. No crest, wholy black head, extremely brown wings. Just a complete failure of a male.

What’s wrong with this Cardinal?

This guy has been coming to my backyard feeders in Rhode Island pretty regularly. Finally took photos, but they’re through a window using my phone so they’re not great. At first I thought it was an immature who was still waiting for all his feathers to come in, now I’m thinking something is wrong. I have lots of other Cardinals visiting who look “normal.”

In North Texas. Looks like a cardinal but with a weird head?

Sorry for the poor quality. I’m zoomed in all the way from my balcony window. I have a video that’s slightly better but can’t seem to upload it.

This bird looks like a cardinal to me, but I’ve never seen one with a head like this?

Concerned about my cardinals!

A couple weeks ago the cardinals who have been living in our yard since last fall started losing their feathers. What is happening to them?

What pest is this bird hunting for?

Hello, so I live in Pearland TX (Houston TX) and I see this bird going around the neighborhood especially my yard, and land in my roof sometimes

Can I ask what kinda pest is this bird hunting for? Thanks!

Just want to be cautious. If it’s just normal city wildlife I’ll leave it be.
