I'm having an excellent day today

After the events of this video took place, I found the burnt peanut sprite in a chest and I was able to extract him. I am having a great day and I don't even care that I died immediately after extracting him this is the greatest day of my life.

I survived an EF0 touching down right on top of my house.

Last night, Me and my family were in a storm system, we had heard that a city close by had been hit somewhat hard. We got hit by some rain and lightning and thunder a little bit, I was in the "shelter" (aka our bathroom, which is our innermost room in our house), while my parents were in the living room watching a meteorologist. We thought we were safe after a few minutes of some rain and thunder. I was in my bed, getting ready to fall asleep when the rain began to get unusually LOUD. It was really concerning me, so I jumped out of my bed, and right when I entered the hallway to talk to my parents to ask what was going on, the wind got loud and the power kept going on and off, like the power lines were being shaken. I ducked into the bathroom and after a few seconds, the wind and rain got quiet and the power came back on. We checked the radar and stayed watching it until we were positive we were not gonna be hit with whatever that was again.

I woke up the next morning, I spent most of the day watching YouTube and generally just napping, since I had a rough time falling asleep. I noticed a lot of branches down near the tree that's next to my window, and my dad had told me a few trees were down on his way to work. Later today, he came into my room and showed me a picture of a EF0 tornado path in our county that was posted by a local meteorologist. I couldn't believe my eyes. It had touchdown right on top of our house. Thankfully, no casualties had come from it, as after leaving our house, it had gone over the river and I think the river took its power. That was, to this day, the scariest and closest encounter I had with a storm. I am currently working on my safety plan for future storms.

[edit]: woah this got popular lol, thanks for the support, also, thanks for getting me onto r/ef5. That honestly made my day. I guess you could say I was a "survivor of the slabbing of the century" or whatever the name of that post was lol.

Is everyone okay so far?

I don't live in Evansville but I live closeby in an area that had to take shelter, We were not struck thankfully, but I heard some apartments and other places took direct hits. I hope everyone is alive and well and I hope everyone was able to shelter. My sister decided to make the IDIOTIC decision to drive knowing she was near the danger zone. I hope everyone is okay. I know I may sound dramatic praying for a community that isn't mine, but I have experienced tornadic activity first hand and I know it is terrifying. I know the storm isn't over yet, but I figured it would calm my nerves to know others are fine.

My parents used to joke that I probably once held the world record for "Youngest Person Ever"

Looking at the barren streets and the crumbling maternity wards, I realized that is a record that I'll keep for the rest of my life.

Yo something about this piece of popcorn tells me it's about to be heavenly

I probably know this post looks dumb as dumb can be but I thought this piece looked interesting.

Had an honestly pretty terrifying dream

In my dream, an bombing was going to happen on the United States of America (I think it was a wave of nuclear bombs across the country). I remember it causing panic in the states and bringing overall anxiety. I remember in the dream, people were either trying to get to shelter, barricade their homes, or just accepted their fate. I remember a lot of crying, specifically my sister crying about how she didn't want to die. I remember a lot of my friends calling me and telling me they were just going to accept it. I, myself was just going to stay home and accept my fate. But my father convinced me to head to some sort of shelter with him.

When we got on the highway to one of the shelters in another town (I think my town didn't have any because it's small), it was scary. The sky was pitch black, but you could see like an orange hue over the town we were headed to. I think it was fire? Anyways, we drove on this highway, which was severely damaged, I saw one of those massive structures, Pylons, or something, I don't know, but it was on its side and collapsed. There was also emergency officials trying to block off the road, but my dad drove through without hitting them like a boss. Unfortunately I woke up during this part. But it's also probably a good thing because I was actually experiencing legitimate fear in that dream.

[UPDATE] I have beaten the parish on one against many mutation

(Sorry for the crappy images, I forgot how to screenshot)

I actually had a lot of fun playing this mutation, it was a little hard. I'm used to playing with bots (only one friend that has L4D2, and they barely play it) so going solo was a big step for me. I relatively got through it with ease, the hordes were honestly scary until I found a good melee weapon that could make quick work of them. I think I only really struggled on the bridge, as that was the only level I had a death on, partially because of a stupid choice I made to pick up a chainsaw for the bridge last level instead of keeping my knife. The chainsaw ran out, and my sniper rifle, which was clearly meant for small groups of whiskey deltas, was not able to fend for me, and I backed up onto a hole. The second run was successful, since I picked up a bat and smashed those infected brains in so hard Joe DiMaggio would've shed a tear. I had a lot of fun, I forgot what addon it was that added this mutation alongside others (its called custom mutations on the menu screen, there's another one I like where it's survival but all of the infected are just Jimmy Gibbs Jr.). You should check out the addon if you find it. I might try the two player mutation with my friend if he comes back to the realm of the living. I'm glad I re-downloaded L4D2.

Absolutely sad right now

I went to the movie theater today to watch the backroom's movie. I was so excited because I'd get popcorn too. I love movie theater popcorn. But my heart sank when I saw them get big ass industrial sized bags of popcorn out and fill the buckets with them. Despite having perfectly good hot popcorn in the popcorn machine, these mfs decided to give me some industrial made popcorn that was room temperature and chewy and got stuck in my teeth. This was a tragedy. The movie was good, but it wasn't the same without warm popcorn. I need good popcorn recommendations.
