With VIA Rail recently announcement their acquisition of Stadler Diesels, this ultimately means that few remaining F40PH's on their respective railroads will be replaced soon.

Via Rail is to retire the F40PH's in the 2030's when the Stadler Diesels come
Metra is to retire the F40PH's in 2031 when the Stadler BEMU's arrive
MBTA is to have their F40PH's retired with Stadler KISS train sets
Trinity Railway Express is to replace their F40PH's with Siemens Chargers later in 2026
Tri Rail is to replace their F40PH's with Siemens Chargers in 2029
Amtrak is to replace their F40 NPCU's with Siemens Venture Cab Cars.
