Finally replaced my pattern 58 webbing with something more accurate! I’ve completely custom setup the webbing by myself by myself(minus the front magazine pouches and shoulder straps) and I’m extremely happy with. I Look at countless archived footage and photos online for reference(finding a full body image of a standard front line British Gulf war soldier was a bitch🙏😭💔), this is also the biggest gear setup I have ever done! Pouches are just filled with just Airsoft stuff as stand ins. Thoughts?

I’m looking into possibly getting this chest rig( it’s more easier to uses in Airsoft) but I don’t want to add something to my kit, which wasn’t overly used on the front lines or many some standard infantry.(my kit isn’t based on any particular unit.) i’d rather have something that was mainly used then something that doesn’t properly represent my kit at all.

Seen this photo and a couple other videos of some British soldiers wearing this chest rig during the Gulf War, haven’t seen any other photos of soldiers wearing this specific chest rig, is there a reason and what is the name of this chest rig?

I’m currently redesigning my Gulf War airsoft impression kit and I’m look towards making my own plce webbing set up based on what was attached onto the webbing at that time. Front mag pouches, two equipment pouches, gas mask pouch, water bottle pouch etc. But I’m not sure on how exactly you attach the straps onto the belt, or the pouches. The last webbing I put together was Pattern 58 and that on its own was complicated! I can’t find any good tutorials online, so I’m coming here to try and find any good information or suggestions on have to put it together? Before I even buy it.

I’m making this post because a lot of people have been complaining about the fact that I’ve been using 1995 desert DPM instead of 1980s DPM, so naturally I want to correct this small mistake even if it’s not that big to some, but since they uses the exact same pattern how else can I identify the difference?

Want to make my flank vest look less flat and more protective, anyone with suggestions?
