“My fellow techmarine sought a powerful servant some centuries past, yet he neglected to seek obedience and was eaten alive as a result… idiot. Remember, apprentice, such are the specifics of the Arkifane’s bargains.” ~ Warpsmith Hetrikos and his apprentice watching the Helstalker carve its way across a Militarum trench. (M38.528)

Heyo!! Done a bit of improvement touch up work on my favourite daemon engine (the stripes, the bone and the base specifically) and wanted to share now that the whole army is going up - Now as part of the overall Ironflesh Gauntlet rather than the Daemon Engine war pack it originally was as ‘The Creeping Ruin’

Defo sticking with the lore of this originally being a Lord Discordant’s mount that ate him (the lil skull in the flesh tube being his skull) bc thats just delightful to imagine lol // I think it’d be fun to do a Vashtorr some day but I think i’ve got enough on my hobby plate for now and I think he’s such a big named figure in my head I’d want to kitbash him extensively so we shall see

Otherwise, hope y’all enjoy! Cheers!

“De old sah’ told us de Emprah would keep us full. If we fought. We did. He didn’t. We found a new sah’. He found us other ways to eat. And eat. And eat some more…” ~Boneheaded Splicey on joining the 208th under Enforcer Clegane. (M41.264)

Heyo! Just wanted to share an update to the 208th - in light of the range refresh announcement a while back for Ogor Mawtribes, I started converting my old spearhead and some second hand purchases into some Bullgryns and Ogryns to further reinforce the 208th!

They were sat blue-tac’d with kitbash bits for a while as I didn’t have greenstuff and other projects to work on however this weekend I had finished some other projects so I was excited to sort them and WOW it was a big hobby weekend; attached all the kitbashed bits properly, primed em, ran out of primer, got more, came back and then it was a near uninterrupted 11 hour stretch into the night until they were all done lol

Super happy with how they came out; appreciate you reading and hope you enjoy!

“They are shells of the Iron Havocs I once fought with, once saw as equals… but no longer. Not anymore.” Sergeant Kyri after witnessing an Obliterator bombardment (M32.679)

“Rustbloods, my squadron was marked by our cousins when we sided with the Warmaster… as if blood and decay are not all that now remain in this carcass of your Imperium.” ~Sergeant Vlasis musing to a slain Sister of Battle after breaching a Ministorum bunker (421.M37)

Heyo!! Im so happy to now be able to share my 40k IW chaos warband proper now that my 30k side has all been posted!! These legionaries were done first the 40K chaos was army was started then I kinda worked backwards lol wuth the heresy stuff lol- I’m glad I did the 30k group for more bodies and having a Deimos tank squadron is very satisfying as I much prefer the aesthetic there.

I did a few different waves of painting and I think t hat’s especially apparently thru with some of the different helms as well lol - Ik they’re nemesis claw models (the bannerman was too cool lol) but using them as legionaries is a bit easier - I have legionaries in there proper and I used to have more however i repainted 10 to be part of a black legion 1k and specifically for a daemonkin combat patrol

You may notice they all hve some lil numeral marking - these were all done based on me going through my 30k group and figuring out which 30k model corresponds to a 40K counterpart, being able to have the transition from rebellion to corruption in these traitors!! Also I know there are 13 here - Just I had three leftover astartes from little spares and eBay spares etc and their loadouts felt fitting for this more melee squadron lol

Reading the Night Lords trilogy (just finished soul hunter!) gave me a better understanding of chaos space marines on a day to day - I’d seen how they are in battle/siege from Storm of Iron but getting to see a bit more ‘downtime’ was very satisfying and motivated me to do those last lil markings as it helped me think of these guys as veterans and imagine what the dynamic between legionaries might be within a squadron just for immersion purposes lol

I have more to share and next up will be the rest of the warband legionaries! Thanks for reading and hope y’all enjoying!!

Heyo!! Just wanted to share some fun kitbashes I’ve made for my Lance - My Chaos Knights have had three lil Nurglings stand ins using the pterrorshades for a while now but with some more Abhorrents purchased and built, i had more birds so made another trio!! Then the dataslate changes came and I realised I have enough points to add a Beast of Nurgle to the list

Only issue is I like the chaos undivided/dark Mechanicum vibe so rather than buying a proper one, I rummaged through my bits box and found some daemon engine bits that when smushed together make a really nice stand in!! Calling it a Scavenger Beast, is almost guided by the pterrorshade flocks to come and scavenge the harder more armoured kills that the birds beaks cant crack (see the magma cutters from the mauler fiends)

Originally, I hadnt found the cut off helstalker head so I’d sculpted a greenstuff face but as soon as I found the proboscis lookin thing, it fit WAY better with the army; matching all my houndskull war dogs and the beaks of the pterrorshades - Im slightly sad to have bashed iver the sculpted features as whilst they were severely goofy, they were fun!! Good reminder for me that greenstuff can be a stand alone sculpting medium rather than just a mechanism to mush parts together lol

Hope y’all enjoy and cheers for reading!!

“Such is our duty. Such is yours, Champion. I will leave the majority of our Vigil to hold Hallow-3 and accompany your strike force with some of our most trusted Cadres. The relic is of great importance but if word from the Captain-General compels us to duty, you shall have our blades and bolters alike. For him on the Throne.” - Knight Centura Apollyon, preparing to join her forces with Shield Company Axefall and battle across the galaxy as Eyes of the Emperor.

Heyo!! Glad to finally share all these guys grouped up together! Forgive th simpler terrain set up, i dont quite have all the graveyard fancy terrain and background blocking to go for full immersion but I wanted to at least get them all on a board to share with y’all!!

Custodes was army that took me a long while to get right - for a long time I thought it was the mourning element of the Custodes I found the most interesting however after examining it further and reading up on it further, I realised I quite liked the element of ‘relic of a bygone age’ - specifically, much for the same reason i like knights, a pre-imperial age; A lot of my inspiration came from fan arts of the Custodes pictures during the unification wars where they have no yet built up all the pomp and circumstances - which is what I was trying to capture in the desaturated colour pallette and im very happy with how it came out, especially in the Dreadnought Talon and the Allarus squadron

Outside of the Custodes, Im immensely happy with how the Anathema Psykana came out - they were the foundation of my custodes collection and Aleya’s audiobook sections cemented them as one of my favourite factions; even ending up with me playing a sister of silence-inspired character in a friend’s long term dnd campaign thats just finished! Im planning to share her kitbashed model soon, once I’ve finished making it’s Custodes counterpart to represent my friend’s chadacter from that same campaign - planning to have them in my collection as Aleya and Velarion proxies!

Hope y’all enjoy and cheers for reading!!

“This is our last chance. Ignore all prior rules of engagement. They have forsaken their iron for the company of daemons - they are no longer fit to be called our brothers. Break the walls of their blighted forgefane. Break the backs of their fleshmetal monsters. Iron Within. Iron Without.” ~Last communications of the 164th Grand Battalion before a warp storm consumed the Junos system entirely (013.M31)

Apologies for the low level quality on the photos and unfinished terrain but very happy to finally share of the 164th Grand Battalion collection all together! They were a big project for me, from the delight of mass building heresy kits, to kitbashing legionary models to be unique with helmets or loadouts, to batch batch BATCH painting or doing more decals than I have on any project since lol

These guys were originally meant to all be for my 40K Iron Warriors but I like them as their own collection and whilst well get to the Chaos Warband of 40K for my Iron Warriors, Im glad to be able to give these guys a lil space in the Horus Heresy as loyalists whilst still leaving room for how the modern warband came to be out of the Junos system which I will start posting later!

I still need to refresh some of the infantry shazard stripes then get decals on everything but as it’s a much more daemon engine force than infantry, I don’t think that’ll take too terribly long

Cheers for reading and hope y’all enjoy!!

Heyo!! Just wanted to share in the wake of 11th I’ve tweaked this army a bit - shifting some cultists to accompany my chaos knights and repainting some of my legionaries from Iron Warriors to the Black Legion!!

This also worked very nicely in rounding out the 1k to include the current combat patrol all in one colour scheme! Customised Master of Possession, 2x5 Legionaries, 5 Possessed and 10 Cultists from the 25mm bodies in the Accursed Cultists set!

Im super happy with how they come out all together and serve as a nice contrast of the much more possessed soldiers counterpart to my more mechanised warfare/daemon engine iron warriors army (the legionary witu the fire blade might genuinely be one of my fave recently painted minis, it came out SO nicely)

Hope you enjoy and cheers for reading!!

Heyo all! Just wanted to share a WIP of my most recent House Khaul/Imperial Knight forces, witu this lovely thing! I adore the pose and the mace head kitbash but the paint scheme is stumping me a bit - My intent is to fill the bone/parchment sections with medieval style manuscript paintings

HOWEVER! Im unsure if Im missing the mark with something?? I put the strong twin colours of the house down the middle so itd fit better with the rest of the army but it is my hope to make it look a bit more visiually distinct a Freeblade (see comparison in last pic)

Heyo!! Very glad to finally be sharing this bulk of my custodes models as I absolutely ADORE the Castellan axe so to have gotten the initial warden set and then be able to kitbash the new Heresy ones witu leftover arms from the Sagittarum worked out SO nicely!!

I feel like the colour schemes, especially on the newer models, worked REALLY well on these guys and im super duper pleased with how they came out - I think I may have missed a few gems on some of the older ones but im content to just go for back for them at some later point

Heyo!! Kitbashed this guy a while ago from a scavenged Reaver and am super happy with how it looks! I think there’s more that can be done here witu decals and heraldry but at least for now Im super happy how the more chaosified/corrupted kitbash came out in conjunction with the colour pallette

“They meant no offence. Our counterparts are privileged. They have never been hunted as we have; they are exalted where we are vilified but… remember that is neither our fault or theirs. We need each other still.” ~Knight Centura Apollyon de-escalating a vigilator of the cadre after a dispute with a custodian on how they should’ve proceeded on their last deployment.

Heyo!! So, some of you might have seen this gal before but im super glad to be sharing her once more after she’s had a lil bit of a glow up!! She was the start of my test scheme on this refresh of having the Sisters of Silence be primary black and accents of gold and WOW Im happy with how she came out

Im playing a dnd chadacter based on a mix between Apollyon from For Honour and the sisters of silence so it was really fun to get that Apollyon reference in on here - She’s definitely one of my favourite chadacter models I’ve ever kitbashed and I’d be lying if I said I wander tempted to seek out the other pose of this Soulblight Gravelords chadacter to give her an alt pose ehich if I recall the model correctly would be a lot more mid action

One theme i really love about the custodians and the sisters of silence working together is how radically different they are but how perfectly complimentary they are - Both on the practical level of the Sisters covering the ‘No psyker custodians’ issue but also on the thematic parallel level of “We are humans who have been entirely disconnected from humanity - Either by being turned into the theoretical peak of what we can become or by being born with the absence of something so fundamental as a soul” - like they’re such different causes but the fact they can find equals in eachother bc they aren’t intimidated by each others inhumanity is really narratively compelling to me (NO Im totally not a super fan of Valerian and Aleya’s dynamic shush)

I say all this bc having pairs of specifics custodians paired in my army with specific anathemas is a really fun excercise for me, especially with the chadacters - so for instance my Knight Centura here with her Executioner Blade is paired with my Custodian Blade Champion (That model will be shared in future cuz they went on a bit of a journey lol) as well as my lil sniper duo i shared the other day!

Hope y’all enjoy and cheers for reading!!
