Fitbit with a broken body
Does anyone know how good Fitbit and Google Health are, if your body does not function the way it is supposed to?
I have a mitochondrial disorder with very severe muscle fatigue and weakness. So functions like heart rate have a very abnormal pattern. My base starts at 70 in rest but can rise up to 125 in just 50 meters.
Nevertheless I want to track my body functions to see where I can improve based on my own analysis. For instance I want to be able to check the mean heart rate over a day on a busy day and on a rest day and see what I can learn. I also want to count steps to see if I can do more over time. Nothing medical (that’s where my doctors come in), but only to see if I can benefit from choices based on my own analysis.
I was thinking about buying Fitbit air. I don’t want a screen, because then it will become an obsession. Is an FB Air and Google Health good for this? Or will I get error messages because my body reacts differently to everything.
I was also looking at a Hume band. But because that is focused on longevity and monitoring diseases I don’t think that will work.
