Does anyone with dust mite allergy take their antihistamine in the morning?
And still find it works well?
Thanks in advance 🙂

I’m wondering if I’ve developed a mild allergy to the glue or if it’s the eye pads that are an issue. I now always get redness on the lower half of my eyeballs developing a few hours after I get extensions (my eyeballs always look fine straight after) and over the last few months I’ve noticed my undereye area constantly looks more puffy and the bags and darkness I have under my eyes anyway are much worse.
The eyeball redness goes after a couple of days, but my undereye bags/darkness are consistently worse than they were a year ago, before I started getting extensions.
My upper lids are absolutely fine, no issues at all.
Could this still be an allergy?
Wondering if anyone else has experienced similar?
TIA 🙂
2!
Does it work within say a few hours, or is it more that it works over a period of a few days, bit by bit?
TIA 🙂
Cat eye style, which I’ve never had before (I always went for ‘open eye’), 6-10 mm lengths.
This was across 2 infills (one of which I had to have much earlier than normal as I had a problem with excessive fallout recently) so there may well be the odd lash from an older set hanging around, but I assume it’s pretty uniform by now!
It’s a change from longer lashes, but I think I may actually prefer these?!
Wondered what others thought and TIA 🙂
It’s a long story which I won’t go into, but I’m considering changing salons after a recent run of bad luck. I used to get my lashes done by a fabulous lash tech there but she left 3 months ago and my lashes have been variable in quality since ☹️
The most recent issue: I had a full set of lashes done and they were ok, no lashes coming unstuck etc. I then had an infill exactly 2 weeks later, by a different tech at the same salon. 4 days after the infill, a ton of lashes fell out-they’d come unstuck as there were no natural lashes attached. A week after the infill, one eye especially is looking much, much sparser 💀A few lashes are still coming unstuck, though not as many as a few days ago. My lashes only looked good for about 3 days 😑
The tech who did my full set has now left (she had multiple complaints from clients , including people being unhappy that their lashes were coming unstuck…like mine are now.)
Apparently the tech who did my infill has never had any complaints about lashes she does falling off and she has been there several months now. FWIW, the salon owner seems honest and upfront and was honest about the situation with the tech who left.
So-is it possible that the lashes that have come unstuck for me are the lashes done 2 1/2 weeks ago, not the infill lashes? I assumed that if lashes weren’t stuck on well, they’d fall out pretty fast, like within a couple of days, which is why I thought it was maybe more likely the infill that was the issue. However, I’m also not very knowledgeable about lashes, so I wondered if anyone could chime in.
If it’s possible it wasn’t the tech who did the infill’s fault, then I’m happy to give the salon another go, but I’ve had really mixed experiences recently and it’s a lot of money to spend for really crappy lashes, so yeah…☹️ I really hate complaining and find it so awkward ☹️
I haven’t done anything different in terms of lash care, no new skincare products etc and I’ve always had really good retention, so this is definitely not normal for me.
TIA for any info 🙂and sorry for the essay 🤣
I bought a DVD recently, got a tracking number etc.
EBay gave me an estimated date of arrival. It hadn’t arrived by then but I wasn’t expecting it necessarily to. I then got a message saying delivery was taking longer than expected. Fine. I then got an email from eBay saying I would be refunded for the item-it didn’t say why. I hadn’t requested a refund or flagged up any issues.
I assumed that something had gone wrong so shrugged it off, but today the DVD got delivered and I also have received the refund from eBay.
Who do I contact about this, eBay or the seller?
I have no idea why I was refunded 🤷♀️
TIA for any advice 🙂
I’ve been getting extensions for just over a year and always gone for the open eye style and a bit longer overall.
Opted for a gentle cat eye style today and it’s a very obvious change, so just wondered what you all thought! This is not a long set either-the longest length is 10 mm. It wasn’t a full set either-it was an infill.
I like them a lot but was wondering if having them a bit longer would look even better?
TIA for any thoughts or suggestions if you think something else would look better!
Do you think they suit younger people better? Do they look grubby faster? Do they highlight things like under eye bags/circles more? And any other thoughts!
Considering getting a pair but I dunno 🤷♀️
Thoughts very welcome and TIA 🙂
I know that higher index are thinner and lighter, but am I right I thinking that for non-prescription lenses, there won’t be any noticeable difference at all when wearing the glasses?
I did wonder if the 1.56 index lenses might sit very slightly further from the eyes if worn in larger frames, but again I don’t know if that’s the case!
Apologies if the question sounds dumb and TIA 🙂
I’ve always gone for a doll-eye map, so the longest lashes are in the centre of my eye. I asked for shorter lashes throughout my whole eye this time as the longer set I had were pressing against the lenses of my new glasses, especially in the middle. The glasses sit very close to my face which is a bit annoying 💀
I think they’re really well-done but was wondering if the much shorter lash lengths make the lashes on the outer half of my eyes look *too* short? I think the lengths used were 7-10 mm and we stuck with the doll-eye map, so the outer lashes are very short! I am aware that they will soon grow and look longer anyway.
Was just wondering if this looks good or if I should request a different lash map that might suit me better? I think I’d still want the longest lash length being 10 mm though, just to be safe with these bloomin’ glasses😆 Maybe having the 10 mm ones come further out towards the outer corner than they do now and the outer corners say 1 mm longer than they are now? I could maybe get away with 11 mm at the outer corner, which would make it a cat-eye?
I’m not sure what would be best, so any advice is greatly appreciated and TIA ☺️
It wasn’t a full set, it was an infill, so I know there will be some lashes that will be more grown out from the previous fill that won’t have all been removed, but these seem really far up to me. Am I being picky? I had the infill yesterday.
I requested slightly shorter lengths this infill but they don’t seem much different, probably because they’re placed further up.
I do doubt myself sometimes so I just wondered what you all thought.
TIA 🙂

I suspect I may be very early on in perimenopause and for about 3 years now I’ve been getting migraines linked to my menstrual cycle. Initially I just had the one a month, around my period, but the past year or so it’s been 3 a month- one at ovulation, one just before my period/just starting my period and one at the end of my period/just afterwards.
Sumatriptan usually works really well for the migraines, but given I have multiple a month and they last 3 days I am on the cusp of what is OK to take medication-wise (you can’t take Sumatriptan too many days in the month.) I’m not over my limit, but it’s close some months.
I had a detailed discussion with my GP (she was really helpful) about trying a preventative for the migraines. We discussed some options and her recommendation was for me to try the hormonal coil.
I’m a bit hesitant about it for a number of reasons, but wanted to know if anyone here has had hormonal migraines and also a coil and could share their experience? Eg did it help the migraines, worsen them, did you have any side effects etc?
I know everyone’s experience is different but I just wanted to get some info to hopefully help inform my decision.
Thank you so much in advance if anyone can help 😊
I got these based on an overwhelming consensus on a previous post as to what pair to get, so thank you everyone who shared their thoughts 🙂 I didn’t have a proper pair to show at the time though, it was just based on the virtual try-on which I know is not hugely accurate.
They’re a tiny bit wide and they need the temples adjusting for a better fit but they’re comfortable. They wouldn’t be my main pair.
I’d have preferred a medium brown colour (a touch lighter) and these are burgundy, which is not a colour I thought I’d ever go for!
Can return if they look bad so was just wondering what people thought!
TIA 🙂
My skin had been looking pretty decent-the Soolantra was working well and it looked pretty clear and the texture was decent.
We had a week of extreme heat here in the UK and of course I was hugely sweating, including my face. My face was also oilier than usual.
Now my face looks more red, bumpy, the texture is worse and my pores are more visible. It’s much worse ☹️
I’ve not changed my skincare or anything like that but did skip the Soolantra for 3 or 4 nights as anything in my face overnight just felt so sticky and sweaty.
Does anyone else find really hot weather can mess their skin up, even if rosacea treatments are working well for them?
My flat was pierced with a flat back titanium labret, with a nickel-free white gold top and the piercing was downsized at the appropriate time. I’ve cleaned it regularly using either Neilmed saline spray or warm running water in the shower and dried it using either cool air from a hairdryer or more often a piece of clean kitchen roll.
It’s been almost 13 months now and it’s not healed. It did OK the first few months but the last few it’s been getting irritated on/off and still produces crusties sometimes. I’ve had a couple of irritation bumps during the healing process but they haven’t stuck around long. There’s been no terrible irritation or anything awful like infection, just on/off more minor irritations.
Things that may be irritating it:
I don’t sleep on the side I’m pierced on but I know I do roll over onto it very occasionally in my sleep.
I soak any crusties in the shower or with lots of Neilmed, but I have been wiping at them occasionally with cotton buds soaked with Neilmed saline spray if they haven’t dropped off, and I wonder if I’ve not been gentle enough a few times. I did this the other day and the piercing very slightly bled pink.
Question 1: It’s not obvious from the photos, but there’s quite a bit of room on the post from the front. Sometimes there’s room at the back too. I showed my piercer a picture and they said there looked like there was a bit of room to get it downsized a second time. So I’m wondering if not downsizing a second time caused me problems with healing? I hadn’t even thought about downsizing again-I just assumed that you only did it once!
Question 2: It’s impossible to take a picture where you can see both the front and back of my stud at the same time as I think it’s how my ear is folded and where I’m pierced. But does it look like my piercing is now angled? I think it does but I’m not sure! I assume this could mean it won’t heal? Should I just take it out?
Sorry this is such an essay 💀but I wanted to provide as much detail as I could to hopefully get some advice as to what to do. My thought was to go to my piercer with the intention of getting it downsized, but if it’s angled then is there any point?
Thank you so much in advance for any help-I really appreciate it ☺️I’m finding this piercing annoying, especially as my others have all been fine!
It used to happen just before my period, but now it kicks in a couple of days in.
My lower face looks so puffy and sometimes the water retention is more on one side so I have a really noticeably wonky-looking chin/jawline area. I look so turgid and blobby. It’s crazy how quickly it happens too-yesterday my face looked normal and I woke up to looking like a completely different person. I expect it, but it’s still a shock when it happens and it makes me feel so self-conscious ☹️My under eye bags look much more puffy and obvious too. It probably doesn’t help I get a migraine at this point too. FFS 😭
Really kicks in about halfway in 😄
