Is one piece's lore overrated, underrated or perfectly rated?

So much happened in this chapter, probably the first time I enjoyed a lore chapter and no break. Tatsu is on a roll.

Rereading kagurabachi, and what would even happen if the sword saint died?
If all the contracts have been severed, and sword saint dies, would the blades become unusable?
Someone could still make a contract with magatsumi though right? Thats what yura initially wanted to do.
So why was samura so fixated to kill soga if anyone could just make a contract with magatsumi and the risk of the malediction still exists?

These walls of text are insane, is it a case of a poor utilization of the medium or it makes sense with the writing?
