What is the most iconic predator of each cenozoic epoch?

I’m working on a project involving cenozoic carnivores and I was wondering what are generally considered the most iconic predators of each epoch. I’m mostly thinking of including terrestrial species

What biome do you think deserves a foliage update?

Considering the last update and the next one have each taken a biome’s foliage palette and remade it, what other biomes do you think should get one? I’m going to say Desert since currently we have a fairly poor selection for anything other than a North American desert

An alien I designed for a spec evo project/game. Does it look alien enough?

(Some context and anatomical notes)

This species would be the equivalent to earth’s Pandericthys, not necessarily the first “fish” to crawl on land but one of the predecessors. It is a bottom dwelling species in shallow brackish ecosystems, feeding on small organisms in the mud.

The front limbs are similar to those of lobe finned fish, with the fin tip made from three bone fingers and a handful of rays between each. A ring of plates line the oral cavity, with two pairs of mandibular limbs surrounding it. The tail fin is actually adapted from a third limb, derived from a structure superficially similar to the tripod fish. The dorsal and anal fin are supported by structures eventually adapted into the hip. The spine of these animals are located near the bottom of the animal, gradually raising and ending in the dorsal fin, with the body cavity sitting in a canoe shaped rib cage.

Most of the things said I said about the anatomy here would also apply to other “fish” in this world. Let me know what you think!

Is it likely that Torvosaurus could’ve been a partial fish eater?

I was thinking about Torvosaurus recently and noticed that its elongated snout is superficially similar to something like a spinosaur. This is generally an adaptation for eating fish, but not much else about it is adapted for a fully piscivorous diet. From this I believe it could’ve fished like a grizzly bear, running after fish in shallow rivers.

This is just the opinion of an amateur enthusiast so take everything I said with a grain of salt

Edit: I am an idiot

What should I do with this empty space here?

It’s right between my Allosaurus f. and Dryosaurus enclosures. I don’t want to add a habitat, so maybe a guest area of some sort

What is a sub-biome you would like to see in the game?

By this I mean a set of foliage pieces that fit within one of the current biomes but is a bit more specific. An example would be a peat bog biome that would fit within the wetlands category

Idk if this is a dumb question but it’s been on my mind

To the guy who makes the really realistic environments, I’m excited to see what you do with the new foliage and rocks

That’s all basically

What is a monster that you would want to give a higher level variant or subspecies?

By this I mean having an alternate form of a low level monster that is much stronger than the original. Think something like Berserk Tetsucabra or even Redhelm Arzuros

Some suggestions for NA Wildlife Reserves

(Second two images belong to Anderson design group, not sure about first two)

Alaska wildlife reserve, would be home to Reindeer, Gray Wolf, Moose, Grizzly Bear, Wolverine, Arctic Fox, Red Fox, NA Beaver, etc

Everglades wildlife reserve, would be home to Raccoon, Alligator, Cougar, Coyote, American Flamingo

PNW wildlife reserve, would be home to Cougar, Coyote, Gray Wolf, Red Fox, Raccoon, Striped Skunk, NA beaver, California Sea Lion

Yellowstone wildlife reserve, would be home to American bison, Grizzly bear, Coyote, moose, bighorn sheep, cougar, gray wolf, red fox, raccoon, striped skunk, NA beaver

These are only animals that are from PZ1, you could definitely add to most of these lists

Here’s hoping we can put the moose in the scottish wildlife reserve

I thought it would be interesting to bring up since theyre not currently found there but used to live in the UK before being hunted to localized extinction. It would also be a nice conservation message to portray

At what point should I try hunting Deviljho for the first time?

So I’ve just gotten to the story mission where you discover the Elder’s Recess and I’ve hunted all 3 of the monsters that live there. I was thinking I could maybe use the Deviljho set as a pre-elder dragon set but idk if that’s wishful thinking.

If it helps I currently have full pink rath ß armor and I’m currently trying to get Uragaan armor

I was wondering if Paralligator would have a diet similar to a crocodile or more like Shamosuchus?

I was imagining it possibly acting like nile crocodiles that ambush large prey from rivers, but considering it was for a time synonymous with Shamosuchus I’m starting to doubt that idea.

Where do you think the wetlands map is going to be set?

As we know U18 is going to add a wetlands map and I was wondering where it may be set. My ideas are:

- Florida Everglades

- Brazilian pantanal

- Indian Sundarbans
