RTX 4080 Noctua deshroud mod - temps went down from 70-75 to 50-55.
Case Shinysnake L400
I also upgraded the cpu fan from Noctua NF F12 to Slient Wings Pro 4, and overall both the thermals of PC as well as room temprature went down quite noticably.
If you join a full server 9 out of 10 you are joining the losing team x games in a row
That's the reason you feel like you can't win any games.
If you are like me who plays 1 or 2 games max a day, and waiting 20 min in a que, almost always joining the losing team.
Because people spam !switch or manually try to switch to the winning team and you fill up the space the created in the losing team.
And there are only few servers that does rebalances the teams.
Unlucky.
BD790i Bios 1.17 update broke memory timings, don't update if you have tuned your timings.
After installing the update and PC restarted I reverted all my memory timings (which was written on a piece pf paper, I only change around 10 values anyway), launched a game and system immidiately blue screened.
I was like, wtf. Then run memtest 5 and found dozens of errors first 5 seconds and blue screen again.
I said to myself, here we go again... Reverted everything to default and only set memory mhz to 6000. When done that usually system would adjust primary timings to 38 38 38 etc, etc, but now it sets them to 46-43-43 and TWR to 96(wtf is this?), trfc to 968(wtf??? no jdec is this high, the most loose and 99,9999999% work change is like 580 why sets to 968???!!!) and other timings to astronomical values.
Every timing sooo much more loose than what was default previously.
WTF is happening. And for the life of me I can't figure out how to properly set up them again.
Is there a way to revert bios update?
BD790i X3D motherboard usb ports are dying, help please.
I got this motherboard brand new from minisforum 8-9 months ago, and yesterday a problem has started appearing, the blue usb ports on the back and the usb c port are constantly disconnecting. One of them I have external wifi connected, other one is external SSD, and I lose internet connection all the time, and can't use the external SATA SSD neither.
I tried to disconnect and route psu cables better, I don't think any short circuit etc happening. PSU is lian li SFX 1000W also purchased around the same time, system is using 400-500W in best case scenario.
The black USB 2 ports are fine, there is keyboard and mouse is connected, no issues. But all the other USB ports are going crazy, including the case USB ports connected to USB header.
Is this windows issue? If so how come it can start just out of nowhere with no changes are done?
I already send message to official support, can you please help me if you had gone through the same problem?
Thanks.
Just buy serpents fang bro, no big deal
Everyone is complaining about tanks or adcs, but people are ignoring spirit bomb solo winning games.
Not balanced IMO.
Why do most modern AAA games have this shadows/lights flickering issue?
Is it hard to do so? How come it's present in many games? Both in cryengine and unreal engine...
In game textures not loading properly on SATA SSD on WINDOWS only
I have a weird problem going on, on windows with Kioxia SATA SSD 2TB which I use for 2 years.
On linux everything was fine, never noticed anything but as soon as I started using windows recently, almost every game running on SATA SSD has weird bugs on textures, like they are loading 144p instead of high resolution. Moving game to the NVME SSD solves this problem 100%.
These games can even run on HDD, such as RDR2, Witcher 3 etc, so SATA SSD should be more than enough(besides it runs fine on linux)
Things I have tried
- Crystaldiskinfo shows 100% health, no errors pristine condition.
- It's already set on performance mode under windows, and caching is enabled.
- It can't be GPU or hardware related, like I said problem does not exist once game runs on NVME SSD.
- Updated SSD firmware from kioxia.
- Storage is only 30% filled up. Around 550GB out of 2TB.
What could be the problem and how can I solve this? I bought this drive mainly for gaming/storage and I know problem is windows related for sure.
Thanks.
High roller as 1st augment is always the best choice
It doesn't matter what you play, high roller stats will always outperform any augment.
I tried on Vayne and had 400 armor 350 magic resist, 30% omnivamp late game, although fan the hammer is better but I 1v9 that game from stats alone.
Same with mages, you can get 200+ ability haste from stats alone.
Do you agree?
Thanks RIOT for giving bruisers a Pre-Nerf item as GOLD Augment
Mouse pointer is lagging like hell (also dragging the map) in game, or when alt tab?
Cant find any solution to fix it, thoughts?
Lagging like crazy man. Did reinstall drivers, turned off overlays and stuff, reinstalled the game cleared the cache etc. No solution yet.
Everyone complains about ADC augments but nobody talks about Forged By the Master....
.
I have seen this augment doing 20k damage on brand/zyra, probably similar story with lillia or asol etc who builds burn/dps augments/items. It also scales extremly good on ADCs. (however I don't see it appearing often on adcs)
Very strong IMO for a silver augment.
Home Theatre speakers turns off after 5 min on PC please help
So I have sony something something home theater for TV and I connected it via bluetooth on PC.
For the life of me I can't figure out how to stop this speakers turning itself off after 5 mins of inactivity. I'm kinda exhausted to turn it on non stop via remote.
There is nothing on remote that says about it.
I turned on and off all the bluetooth related stuff like power saving etc, nothing works.
Now, I know that bluetooth is able to turn it on. When I boot the PC, the bluetooth wakes up the speakers. This means it is able to communicate with the PC somehow.
Any idea how to fix this issue?
Thanks.
Dragon Age Inquisition runs at 90 fps on OLED (NO framegen) at high settings while consuming 9-10W TDP
This could be one of the best performing games on deck while looking this good.
I haven't posted the video because last time I did that people were claiming the quality looks horrible.
I pirated the game because I own it on xbox but never played. (used steamrip, unpacked the game). I read it online that even people who owns the game on steam pirates it due to EA launcher related stuff. Just a thought.
Only problem is the controllers, which did not work out of the box.
So I installed DAI-Proton-1.0.4.tar.gz from github which is a custom proton for this game only, and then I copied the extracted the folder into home > deck > .steam > steam > compability tools. Then restarted the steam and choose DAI proton 1.0.4 from compability section on game properties.
Settings set to high (turn off advanced MSAA), post processing set to low which disables motion blur.
(oled) Would you rather play at 30FPS with HIGH settings or 45FPS with LOW settings? Why?
Just curious how other redditors set up the settings.
I can run Witcher 3 DX 11 either at high settings locked to 30fps or low/steam deck preset locked to 45 fps.
How do you set up?
Is new imperial mandate OP now on CC champs at ARAM?
Now it gives 20 ability haste for CC skills, plus 15 ability haste regular.
This means if you have a champion like Galio with multiple CCs, you get really big ability haste bonus.
With new passive (7% more dmg taken from all sources when CCd) also works on you, it's kind of broken for how cheap it is.
I tried it on amumu, galio, zac, maokai and end game it was 10-12k damage on the passive alone.
For maokai it literally gives 35 ability haste for 3 of his spells. Zac, the same, galio the same, ulti also counts as CC...
Don't sleep on it guys, really good stuff.
3 Games in a row Jinx got Fan the Hammer + Critical Missile
I was playing Senna and she one shot me with a single auto attack --> fan the hammer 5 hits which triggets critical missile 5 times -- and died. So basically doing around 1.5-1.6k dmg via single auto at level 9-10.
This isn't all random at this point. It's adcs with critical missile and others.
I am not even bothered by brand getting infernal anymore.
Every single game every adc get's either dual wield or fan the hammer with critical missile.
Disgusting.
Ghost of Tsushima Runs well on steamdeck, with FSR 4 balanced / LSFG 2x locked to 72FPS
It looks fantastic with FSR4 balanced, looks and runs better than native FSR 3.1 TAA or XESS/FSR quality presets. I highly recommend you to install FSR 4 on steamdeck.
Due to HDR recording and reddit compression video might look bad.
I locked base frame rate cap to 36 on LSFG, and set to screen display HZ to 72 from steamdeck, allow tearing and unlimited frame rates. VSYN turned off in game, and input lag latency is very low.
Runs at around 17-18W TDP.
In demanding scenes like in battle or big towns, the FPS doesn't drop, instead TDP usage goes higher. It's dead stable at 36 fps base, 72fps with lossless scaling thanks to FSR4 balanced preset.
Of course it also runs at 30fps with none of these needed, but as is at 72fps with much better clarity on image thanks to FSR4, it is so much more enjoyable!
I continued my first playtrough after 6 years gap not remembering anything, and it was an amazing experience
Last time I played the game it was a long time ago. Probably during covid. Few days ago I continued the playtrough, somwhere in the middle of the story.
Man it was such a blast. I didn't remember what was the previous conversations, although remembered few things like there was a corpse and we are solving a crime.
The first NPC I talked to was the drunkard calling me teuqilla man, and harry's answer was he doesn't remember shit what happened. Yeah, so am I.
I didn't feel lost, or anxious, or didn't even felt the need to restart the game.
Wow.
HARDCORE TO THE MEGA.
