I was about to pull the trigger on this one for a particular remote application, but I noticed that QNAP US lists it as unavailable as does NewEgg. You can still get it from Amazon. Howver, it made me wonder if this model was being retired or had been superseded. Anyone know?
Is it possible to combine several (i.e., 3) Google calendars in HA? The calendars are all mutually shared so that all events show up in all calendars. When I add a calendar into HA using Remote Calendar only the native, and not the shared, events show up. I am looking to get them all on one calendar view, similar to my Google Calendar experience with calendar sharing.
I seem to have failed in my search for a battery powered sensor with custom zones for my Home Assistant setup. Thus, although it significantly restricts where I can deploy it, I am reluctantly considering wired sensors (POE is out of the question), and I would appreciate any help. I started by looking at the Aqara FP2. It has the functionality I want. I currently have an FP300, and it has been excellent, but no zones. I have also come across the EP Pro and the Shelly Gen4. I imagine there are others as well. Does anyone have actual experience on the ground with these are any other presence sensors with custom zone capability.
I just installed a Lock Vision Ultra Pro. After pairing the keypad and adding the initial code, it worked perfectly. I then added 2 fingerprints. Roughly an hour later, the keypad lost connection twice, but picked it back up quickly when prompted from the app. However, even though still paired and connected, a signal from the keypad does not seem to affect the Lock. That is, the code is entered and the unlock button is pressed. The keypad blinks green several times, then blinks red. The lock ignores it all. Any idea what I have done wrong or how to troubleshoot the problem?

I have been toying the idea of integrating an AI like Claude into Home Assistant, primarily to help troubleshoot, correct, and create yaml code, help create dashboards, etc. Searching through the subreddit, Youtube, etc., it appears there are two main avenue to accomplish this: MCP and OpenCode. Can anyone expound on which would be better and what the distinction is? I also see some mention of a service/app called Ollama, but I frankly have not yet spent the time to understand it well enough.
This photo appears on the side of the box my Switchbot Lock Ultra came in. If you look close, there is some sort of adapter allowing the device to sit on top of the large lock. Is it possible to set SmartPlan so that it Vacuums only (i.e., never mops) for a certain room?
I have a Saros 20 Sonic. There is a particular area in my kitchen that always requires extra attention and is never adequately cleaned (vacuumed) by the robot. This is a portion of the baseboard and along the front of the stove; essentially a narrow strip. Looking at the trails on the map after cleaning, it appears that this area does not get the same amount of cleaning as the rest of the floor or the opposite baseboard area. The robot does not see any obstacle in this area, BTW. Is there a way to train/force the robot to give extra attention to the problem area?
I am looking at the Switchbot Lock Ultra Vision Pro. I understand the keypad is usually mounted on the outside of the door jamb itself (i.e., quite close to the unlocking device). I would like to place the keypad about 10 or 15 ft away from the door, both for convenience (the door is at the top of a stairs; I would like the keypad at the bottom of the stairs) and so that it is not so obviously associated with the door lock. Does anyone have an idea of the functional maximum range between the locking mechanism and the keypad?
I am considering the Lock Ultra Vision Pro and similar Switchbot locks for a particular exterior door. My house tends to shift slightly after periods of extended heavy rain (rare) or extended drought (less rare). This sometimes causes the deadbolt to bind slightly. That is, on those occasions, it requires a little force to turn the key or deadbolt knob. While exterior opening seems to be no problem, since the key can simply be used if the deadbolt is binding, I am not sure how robust the interior twist knob is. From the photos, it appears that the mechanism is made of plastic. Is this likely to work when a more forceful turn is required? Likewise, my understanding is that the motors on these sorts of locks are quite weak. How robust is the motor on these particular locks? Does anyone have experience as to how well they work in situations where the deadbolt may bind slightly?
I have the maintained fork of the ADC integration (after struggling with the old one, until I found there even was a new one), which has al\lowed me to successfully add all the ADC sensors into HA. Hurray! I should say that I am very new to HA and still very much at the deep end of the pool. Essentially none of my simple automations seem to work correctly, but I am working on it. I am playing with a very simple automation to turn on the lights in the foyer when the front door opens. I am using the ADC front door sensor as the trigger. Lo and behold, the automation works. Laugh if you will, but it was a triumph to me. The problem now, I realize, is that there is a 30 second delay on that sensor triggering ADC, which is causing a 30 second delay to the automation firing. Is there a way to make the HA trigger use the actual sensor trip rather than the 30 second delayed notification of the trip that goes to the ADC system?
I am looking to retrofit motors for a bunch of already installed roman shades, with a view to integrating them into Home Assistant. I am exploring the Zemismart motors right now, but, from looking at the website, I am having some trouble understanding some things. I cannot figure out from the pictures how the motor attaches to the shades or the cord. Can anyone explain it? It also appears that they might require individually hard wired power. That would be a deal killer. Do they have a battery option? Does anyone have any experience of this product for Roman shades? All the information seems to relate to roller blinds. Thanks.
I think the new website looks fine. I really don't find it particularly better or worse. The filtering function in my downloads is not useful at the moment, but I am hopeful that will get sorted out as the download section seems to be stated to be still under construction. My real problem, real serious concern, is the lack of "You have this" badge. I have approx. 1000 individual BF audios and lots of pre orders. Without that badge it is very, very difficult for me to make any new purchases. I NEED that badge back. Has anyone heard anything about when or if it will be reinstated?
I have installed Frigate and added my 3 Reolink cameras. The 1st (a Reolink video doorbell cam) loads and displays without an issue. The other 2 cameras add successfully, show that they are connected, but do not display at all. Each shows the message: "No frames have been received, check error logs." Here is a selection of the logs, it appears that it is having a problem with ffmpeg, but I have no idea how to address it.
