Advice needed please

Hi! New to AoS from 40k, saw some seraphon armies online and read a bit of their lore, fell in love with the faction instantly! That being said, what should I know when getting into the faction? Do kits generally have a lot of spare bits for kitbashing? Are there any kits that are particularly annoying to put together? Also never played AoS before, so any advice on how seraphon play? Just from pure looks I would say they look pretty tanky and melee focused, is that right?

Very Poorly Done Art

I was bored between 1-4am and drew these with a pencil, pen and amazon essential highlighters. Be aware, this is not good art, better than AI, but not by much (the black spots were where I blacked out my signiture because you can't trust the internet)

Please Tell Me About YOUR Custom Chapters

I'm kitbashing an Angels of Death Killteam into Deathwatch and wanted to have a piece of the community in each model, please tell me the name of your chapter, what pauldron design they would have and what role you think they would fit best, as well as any extra kitbashing you think would make sense to make the model truly unique to your chapter.

Ransom Notes

I recently collected a large amount of ransom notes from you all, and wanted to give them back to the community in a convenient way, so here they are: (I had to put a couple in the comments because of photo limit)

Is 3 Sanguinary Guard Enough?

I recently got Dante and finished converting him for my successor chapter and after some tweaks my list had exactly enough points that 3 sang guard would fit, I can fit in 6 at the sacrifice of some models that are not very strong but I like the look of. I don't play very much competitive but I would like to start getting into the scene and seeing if I can make my favourite models do well regardless of meta, that being said I would still like to win, and I don't hate the sanguinary guard I just prefer some other models. TLDR is 3 sang guard enough or should I take 6 at the cost of losing some of my favourite models' place in the list? (Specifically either a gladiator lancer or death company dreadnaught, both of which I love rather dearly)

New here, I have a few questions about T28

Hi, I know T28 is a wargame similar to Trench Crusade and the like. My knowledge ends there. Few questions
Why is it called Turnip 28?
Why do the models look so horrifically disturbing (big fan of the work I've seen here 10/10 would throw up a bit in my mouth again)
Who are the factions?
Whats the main story of the lore?
If you were to describe the setting in a single sentence, what would you say? What about a single word?

Could I take these to a tournament?

If I stick these to the correct bases (minus the lying down ones) could I use them as Cadian Shocktroops? Are the silhoettes similar enough? It seems like a relatively cheap way to get a lot of guard onto the field

Whats the deal with all the axes?

Hi, I don't play Ad Mech but I was wondering why so many models have axes as their main melee weapon, for example, Cawl, the Techmarine and some of the Tech Priests I've seen. I was wondering if there is a specific lore reason why axes are favoured in the Ad Mech

Rate My Successor Chapter

My custom successor chapter is called the Blood Scars and I have a lot of lore for them that I want some opinions on, thinking of writing a short story for them.

The Blood Scars have a chimeric geneseed mix of Blood Angels and White Scars, a tech priest (probably Cawl) wanted to try and create stable Blood Angels by mixing in some from the White Scars. This was a cursed founding. The resulting mess was called the Blood Scars. Instead of the red thirst, they have the hunters' thirst: Once they kill something, they don't feel any satisfaction until they kill something even more dangerous (can be a big monster/vehicle or a dangerous horde, ect) and a new form of black rage with a new ability called "To chase the Warmaster" which drives the marine to go faster and faster, never ceasing in the chase of the Archtraitor (I represented this in my army through death company painted outriders). Their chapter master is called The Huntsman (kitbashed Dante to have a spear and no mask) who is currently hunting a chaos knight despoiler called Skull Tyrant. The Blood Scars also have another feature which they know nothing about. Khorne Daemons keep following them through the warp. This has caused strange behaviours in the legion which brought them to the attention of the Grey Knights, specifically one Brotherhood Librarian Garro Secundus, who I used as a POV character when writing some of their lore. "As I have spent increasing amounts of time watching the Blood Scars, I have noticed a panoply of Khornate Daemons watching them as intently as I. It appears the Blood Scars are unaware of this. Nevertheless this must be addressed. Their geneseed still requires study so I have elected to have them sent to Imperium Nihilus. Though their fall is made far more likely, if not guaranteed, at the very least, it will only be Chaos where it is expected, and where we can be better prepared..." - Brotherhood Librarian Garro Secundus. An example of this is The False Angel - the Blood Scars believed themselves favoured by Sanguinius due to many timely interventions of the 'Sanguinor', which in truth is a Khornate Daemon set on corrupting the Blood Scars. The Blood Scars' Hunters' thirst gets worse as a marine lives and kills more things in battle, getting to the point where they can no longer be controlled. When this point is reached, there are two paths they can be set down. The first is the most simple, the Death Company. The second is to be sent into the bowels of the fleet's flagship (I forgot to say but this chapter is fleet based, their flagship is The Red Spear). Here, the final and most dangerous trial of the Blood Scars aspirants. To kill an ancient marine of the chapter. Some other notable features are their colour scheme - more white than a blood angel but more red than a white scar (with a white slash over the left eye of their red helmets), their first chapter master Maximillian Ver'Stappen (I'm hilarious) is entombed in a Death Company Dreadnaught and has a rivalry with the Death Guard helbrute from when they were both still living and killed eachother at the same time. They are basically one step away from falling to chaos, and much to the alarm of the Grey Knights, when they went to check on the Blood Scars in Imperium Nihilus, they were nowhere to be seen. Garro Secundus found them when an Ordo Xenos inquisitor contacted the Grey Knights after discovering a chapter of marines bathing in Ork blood and piling Ork skulls high for the Golden Throne on Terra all the way over on Armageddon. I hope you like my silly little chapter, I love my little blorbos. They also think last stands are epic and staying still is dumb. Based and blood pilled. They also tried really hard to get to the Devastation of Baal to help but the Lamenters accidentally crashed their ship into the Blood Scars' ship and sent their entire reserve company into the void of space.

Non-Mini Prints?

Hi, I was wondering what non-mini prints are the most useful, I'm not talking terrain, I'm more thinking small quality of life stuff, like Oath of Moment markers, that kind of stuff, for someone just getting into competitive

Blood Angels Successor Chapter - The Blood Scars

Hi, I wanted to see some opinions on my cursed founding successor chapter, the Blood Scars. Since the White Scars have pretty stable geneseed, a tech priest (probably Cawl) mixed it with Blood Angels geneseed to try and remove the red thirst and black rage. This went awfully. The resulting chapter, the Blood Scars, have their own version of the black rage called to chase the warmaster, which causes them to want to go faster and faster, I have painted up some outriders as death company as well as some with jump packs. Additionally, from their first kill, they are lost, with every subsequent kill needing to be a greater opponent than the last for the marine to feel any kind of emotion at all (like a diet World Eater). Their chapter master is called the Huntsman (Dante kitbash) and is on the hunt for a Chaos Knight Abominant. They are fleet based and could not make it to the devastation of Baal as they were stopped by a splinter fleet, the Grey Knights and Inquisition are highly suspicious of them as they are basically World Eaters, but they keep getting pointed towards the great rift to go kill in that direction. They are more white than a blood angel and more red than a white scar with a healthy amount of gold put in there as well! Hope you like my goofy little guys! Blood for the Great Angel, Skulls for the Golden Throne!
