Took a shot at what Veigar cards could look like
Edit: Veigar Infinitely Evil’s ability should read “The first time during a showdown a non ally unit takes damage at my battlefield, I gain +1 at the end of combat.”
During my most recent rewatch I noticed something I hadn’t before. During the last episode, when the Daedalus is preparing to attack the ‘super hive’, there’s a seemingly throwaway line that caught my attention:
McKAY: Wait a minute. I've got an idea. How many ships do we have available?
CALDWELL: Aside from ourselves, there's the Apolloand the Sun Tzu.
SHEPPARD: How about the Odyssey?
CALDWELL: Nah, it's on some secret mission even I'm not supposed to know about.
Is this ever explained? What is the ‘secret mission’ the Odyssey is away on? I thought perhaps the events of Stargate: Ark of Truth but I thought those events were long before the end of SGA, happening somewhere at the end of SGA S3.
I'm running my Home Assistant using cloudflare to enable remote access. Multiple times a week I'll get notifications in my Home Assistant logs "login attempted or request from <address>..". The attempts fail because I have 2FA set up, but I want to prevent them in the first place.
Many of the domains are consistent in some aspect, usually following a format of `IP.frontier.net` or 'IP.compute.amazonaws.com'. I suspect many of these are just bot attempts to access a list of domains to see what they catch. I went ahead in my Cloudflare account for my domain added in security rules that block out of country and added in 'hostname' option containing the part of the domain that never changes (so the frontier.net or compute.amazonaws.com), I still get these notifications that login attempts are failing.
Is there a way I can block access to anything coming from those domains?
I am thinking of setting up Jellyfin for my home assistant instance so I can have all my devices access/search my media from one place. I've head that Jellyfin is far and away the best option over services like Plex or Emby, but the thing I keep getting stuck on is streaming. I know that due to DRM, services won't allow you to connect your streaming service account (netflix, hbo, etc) to home media servers, I get that. But I want to be able to have all media *searchable* from a single place including my own that I have stored on the server. Plex enables you to also see streaming service movies and it links out to those apps, does Jellyfin do something similar?
Essentially, I'm looking to be able to search all media, mine and stream services, from one place and link out if needed. Does Jellyfin do this or do I need to stick with Plex?
I got to SGA S3E20 when the Replicators send the ‘gate laser’ to hit Atlantis after the Apollo nukes their planet. It made me think about multiple gates in the same system since it’s mentioned Atlantis can’t dial out (because it’s basically the same address), how does the outgoing gate know which gate to connect to? If the replicator gate was dialing the address for their laser gate, since it’s so close to the Atlantis gate is it the same address? If so how would it choose which gate to connect to?
Honestly I don’t remember if it was addressed in SG1 so this could come down to “old guy has bad memory”
I had been solo developing my first game for about a year and had gotten decently far into building out the systems when life kind of all happened at once. Within the span of a year and a half I had gotten married, had my first kid, and gotten a new job with higher pay but more responsibilities. It’s been 2 years since all that and I’ve not picked up developing at all. It’s not like I don’t have free time, just less of it, I just spend it doing other things. I’m not feeling negative about myself or the past couple years, it’s all been life changing and wonderful, and developing a game can feel like another job even if it’s for fun so spending my free time doing other things isn’t unhealthy, I just don’t know how to find the motivation to go back and keep developing.
What do you all do to re-motivate yourself to get back to working on your passion projects?
After years of basically stealing water from local municipalities, tech companies want to build AI data centers in the ocean to save costs on cooling.
This poses risks to the aquatic life in the area and potential pollution from the hundreds of thousands of gallons of water that would be flushed through the system to cool it.
Hi all, I've got the Coral M.2 set up and identified properly by my Frigate container via passthrough:
I've added the following code to the /opt/frigate/docker-compose.yaml:
services:
frigate:
devices:
- /dev/apex_0:/dev/apex_0
and the following into config.yml
detectors:
coral:
type: edgetpu
device: pci
I was previously using the gpu and my 2 cameras I had attached to frigate and they both worked fine, however now I'm getting an error and no cameras are properly working:
Incorrect model used with EdgeTPU. Only .tflite models can be used with a Coral EdgeTPU.
I've not been able to find a solution on google so far, any advice on what is causing this and how to fix it?
Hi all, first time posting here so mods please delete if not allowed.
I’ve got a Beelink mini pc that currently has an intel alder lake n95 with 4 cores and 16gb of memory which is not enough for what I need. The Beelink official story is 16gb is the max memory supported, but I’ve also heard people say they’ve upgraded to 32.
Does anyone have experience upgrading both the CPU and memory on the s12 pro? I’d like to get at least an 8 core processor and 32gb memory out of an upgrade (which seems to be cheaper than buying a similar model outright).
Thanks in advance!
Just got to these episodes again and it hit me: we really do just sort of gloss over the fact that the Atlantis team basically got the last living Ancients in existence all killed.
I installed frigate using the community-scripts for Proxmox and logged into root in the CLI but I'm unable to find the password for admin, which according to the documentation is supposed to be output in the logs.
Running docker logs -f frigate from the documentation returns -bash: docker: command not found
How am I supposed to find the logs to get my admin password? Do I now need to reset it since I 'missed' the first boot up logs? Or is there another way to find the logs in the CLI?
I’m trying to install a hardwire kit for my IIWEY dash cam and it describes needing a CON and an ACC fuse. The ACC fuse is clearly labeled for the vehicle, but I’m not able to find any always on fuses for CON (see first image).
I’ve so far tried fuses 3, 6, and 29 (wiper RR, s/htr, and OBD) but no matter what the dash cam won’t turn on when the car is on.
Does anyone know the correct wiring for this car? Thanks in advance
Hey all, my Ender 3 pro has been out of commission for a while because of an issue I’m running in to. For more context, I have a BLtouch installed and prior to me moving, everything was working normally without issue.
After moving, I wanted to relevel the bed and make sure everything was dialed back in because moving the printer in my car probably messed some things up. I went through the normal leveling process and did the BLTouch level check. All seemed OK. I load up benchy and hit print and the printer homes, BLTouch check, and then raises the Z axis an inch off the bed and starts to print spaghetti.
I’ve checked the g code, tried a different benchy, and everything, nothing out the ordinary. What seems to be happening is that when doing its starting checks Z = 0, but then when it starts to print it seems to think that 0 is an inch off the bed. I’ve already tried factory resetting the ender and going back through setup and it still has the issue.
Has anyone run into this and know a fix or what I’ve done wrong? If more info would be helpful let me know I’ll provide any info I can
I have my HA set up on a proxmox VM. Home Assistant is showing my memory usage sitting around 25%, which is what I would expect. However, Proxmox is showing that Home assistant is consistently sitting around 80% usage. Why the difference? HA is the only thing on this VM, what could be causing the difference in usage here?
It’s pretty unoptimized and buggy, but let’s be honest which part of new releases hasn’t been in some ways? I think this expedition brings something that we haven’t seen before though which is an *actual* community objective. Normally we get progression after step 5 that unlocks a few things, but here we actually have dedicated objective to fulfill with the percentage tracking. This, to me, seems like a test of more community wide events for both NMS and LNF. This could even be setting up for some sort of world altering event if we fail our main objectives. I think there’s a lot of potential for the system, especially since the Altas itself seems to be under threat. The idea that we’ve all always seen the interfaces as these immutable facts of the universe, and now that that’s threatened, we all have to work together opens a lot of narrative doors. Imagine if we didn’t hit 100% success in this or later steps and the universe was altered in some major way?
Sure all of that is sort of speculation, but I think this expedition opens a lot of those doors for the future. Plus I’ve not heard of one step that people have been stuck on having to grind out some annoying fish or something. We’re “stuck” out of design rather than inconvenience, and it’s all of us in the same spot.
TLDR, I like this expedition because it’s an actual community focus that gets us to interact in ways we’ve not had to before, it opens doors for future features of both NMS and LNF, and honestly the progress part of this isn’t that bad, it’s just waiting
Hi all! In my never-ending attempt to coalesce my entire household into a single, locally managed system, I have looked around for a long time for something that I could integrate into Home Assistant that would help me managed my garden. Not just what plants are where, but identify when things need watered, how much light do they need, what season plants are grown in, are they toxic to pets, and so on.
I had the hardest time finding anything that had most of the information I needed under a single database or API, and it was impossible to find that in a system that worked with Home Assistant.
So I made my own.
Introducing (my first integration, please be gentle) Agribuddy
Agribuddy is an integration offered via HACS custom repository that enables you to track what you're growing and all the important information that goes along with that such as:
- watering needs
- light requirements
- Hardiness zone compatibility
- Soil pH needs and preference
- Growth periods
- Human and Animal toxicity
- Care instructions and facts
- History event tracking
The Agribuddy integration pulls from the Verdantly.io API managed through RapidAPI, giving access to their vast database of plant data.
Agribuddy also integrates with your favorite weather forecast entity, automatically logging events such as rain, snow, and frost, all in a single place. Log your own events such as watering, fertilizing, sprouting, harvesting, etc and override plant data with your own for more custom data.
Agribuddy also exposes events and triggers to Home Assistant, allowing you to set up custom automations to trigger things such as watering notifications or automatically activating irrigation systems. View and manage your garden and grow plots with views for tablet/desktop and mobile.
Constructive feedback is always welcome, and please log any issues you notice! I plan on making more updates and adding more features as time goes on, but feel free to suggest additions you would find useful and I can try to make it happen!
Find the documentation and integration here!
* Obligatory disclaimer: I built this integration with the assistance of AI to help fill in gaps in my knowledge around yaml and javascript as well as to help create code comments and documentation.
Not sure if errata exists for this, but if Battlefield A has enemy units, Battlefield B has my token units, and I have token units at my base, if Azir attacks Battlefield A, can I move my token units from Battlefield B and my base to Battlefield A?
