I know its a dumb question but ive seen a lot of linux setups with cool animated anime wallpapers like the ones in wallpaper engine, but since wallpaper engine isnt available for linux, i have a lot of trouble searching for wallpapers without wallpaper engine because, for example, pinterest has a TERRIBLE quality, most images less than 720p and those pages that supposedly have thousands of 4k wallpapers are always just official anime covers taken from the crunchyroll page and one or two fanarts, and thats only the images, i dont seem to find moving wallpapers

I need to forcefully access bios on a laptop that cant access bios no matter what i try

Im having a Security Violation error on my "lenovo ideapad v15 ada" that to be fixed it needs to access bios, however nothing works

Heres all that ive tried

Pressing f2 or fn+f2 (pc freezes on lenovo logo)

Pressing fn+r (same)

I of course havent tried all keys but for sure i tried most of the Fx keys

Pressing the novo button (it shows the novo menu but booting into bios just doesnt boot into bios and tries to boot windows)

Booting with no disk (security violation error doesnt show up, the boot menu appears, but it doesnt detect anything else than windows boot manager)

Booting with ANY windows disk (Security Violation error)

Removing cmos battery (doesnt work, i think the bios defaults are the problem tho)

Windows USB (not detected by the bios)

Linux USB (not detected by the bios)

Pressing power button for 30 seconds

Connecting an external keyboard (doesnt seem to work)

Trying to connect an external monitor (it just doesnt try to connect, the laptop just displays into the original screen)

Removing one slot of ram (the other one is soldered)

THE ONLY THING THAT WORKS and i cant do because i cant boot windows) is go into bios via cmd shutdown /r /t 0 /fw

Trying to go into bios by holding shift + reset > hardware uefi settings just boots into windows again

My bios is broken and just shows up windows boot manager. Nothing else

Im new to overclocking so im looking for an opinion on this profile i made for my 4x8GB 3200mhz 16-18-18-36 560tRFC corsair modules

i know the OC is very minimal for a B-Die but i have an i5 12400f so i cant go past the 3500mhz wall unless i add more voltage to VCSSA and i cannot do it, also, ive seen that adding more dram voltage than 1.35 doesnt seem to give me better frecuency or tighter timings, like if VCSSA is the current bottleneck

im just curious since the stock settings are CR1 and my OC profile is CR2, im worried the change from cr1 to cr2 adds a lot of delay and makes my profile worse or the same as stock settings

also, if theres something else i could do better tell me, i havent really touched that much tRFC and tREFI because im not very informed about it and i dont know if those values are very sensitive to data corruption and i wouldnt know unless i ran a 20 hour test, same as tRP and tRAS but ive actually ran an 8 hour test with those two and got bored of tightening them more, i think i will leave it like that unless its safe to test anything else

I just want to check if im doing something wrong or if my ram its just unable to be overclocked

Im completely new to overclocking and i wanted to try ram overclocking for fun, i have done a LOT of research on how to overclock ram and it was fun, i ended up realizing my ram has Samsung B-die since the sticks say ver 4.31 so i thought overclocking my ram would be easier and a nice performance gain, however, when trying to boost my ram's speed i cant achieve a stable overclock, i did a lot of TM5 tests and all of these fail
If i tighten the timings it throws error, if i boost memory speed it throws error, no matter what i do, i tried all types of dram voltages, i tried a higher tRFC and ive increased VCCSA multiple times, i dunno what else i can try, ive been told to change the gear mode or the vccio but i dont find those options on my MOBO

i didnt think that i would have that much of a struggle with ram overclocking since i've done some research on this sub and many people say that B-die can easily do 3200mhz 14-14-14-34 or even 3600mhz 14-14-14-34 but its not the case for me

I have an i5 12400f, an Asus b660m-plus wifi D4 and a 4x8gb ram setup
my only thoughts are that using 4 ram slots generates some issues when overclocking, or that maybe my cpu has a weak IMC, maybe im missing something but i dont know

the only "succesfull" overclock ive done is 3333mhz 18-20-20-40 wich its probably a 2% performance gain over my default 3200 16-18-18-36 and i didnt even do a full TM5 test, just 20 minutes of testing

i want to check if im missing something i didnt do, im currently doing a 3500mhz overclock with VERY VERY loosen timings (20-24-24-46) just to check if its even possible, its been 30 minutes and its stable, i would probably tighten the timings a little bit more and if i reach a noticeable performance gain im keeping the setup, otherwise im just sticking to the default 3200 16-18-18-36 because maybe overclocking isnt my thing

One and half a year ago i bought the buds3pro and i LOVED them, i hate not hearing people with headphones and when i tried ambient noise for the first time i could even hear more than when im not using them, now its worse, yes, i can hear better than if i had the option off but it doesnt give the effect of "hearing more/the same than without the buds on" i remember being able to hear voices very clearly and the background noises, now i have to take off the headphones to hear people in many ocassions, also, i remember that i thought background noises were too noisy when using ambient sound but now they arent there anymore, i kinda miss it because it felt like i heard more

Edit; i also thought thay maybe the eartips dont fit anymore but i dont know if the box comes with more tips, i should check but i forgot where i left it

I’m a relatively normal person; I have a group of friends who care about me and don’t judge me for anything. However, whenever I see videos or photos of myself, I notice that my body language is very different from everyone else's. For example, at a birthday party yesterday, they played a lot of videos featuring me and my friends, and I really stood out because my body language is different, it’s sort of "stiff," I guess? I don't know how to explain it. I look like a shy guy; while I *am* shy sometimes, that doesn't usually apply when I'm with my friends, and it shouldn't apply in every situation. Sometimes I hold my hands up "like a dinosaur" or I pose very differently from my friends in photos. They sometimes tell me I walk strangely, and it’s true; I’ll walk on my tiptoes or move really fast without even realizing it. There was also dancing at the party, and I found it really hard to move. It’s not just that I "can't dance" or that I do funny moves; it’s that I literally *cannot* dance. If I move my legs, my hands go stiff, or I just flail my legs around aimlessly. Also, when I sit down, I have to cross my legs. It doesn't bother me much since it's a normal thing to do, but I honestly can't sit any other way, I feel like I’ll slide off the chair if I don't. Some of my friends know this makes me feel bad and try to help, but I haven't had much success. It makes me really self-conscious because I feel like the way I move doesn't match my personality, and it makes me feel weird. That, in turn, makes me feel too embarrassed to do certain things with my friends or with anyone else, my closest friends may not judge me but i feel like other people do

im using a persistent usb on another pc with the mt7902 and all distros come with the kernel 7.0 and updating kernel on a persistent usb is a headache, i just want it to do some tests on that pc with linux without the need of purchasing another usb to install it onto my original usb.

i dont really mind the os, i prefer one that doesnt take more than 2gigs of ram on idle but i think most of them do that

My dad needs a laptop that has a nice battery life and can handle a lot of open apps/tabs so i was looking into one with a nice amount of ram (8gb wasnt enough with my older laptop) and a good cpu to handle it, and i found those arm laptops with the Snapdragon X1, their price was really cheap since they had a high speed ddr5 memory and a lot of storage, that works for my dad since he just uses it for multitasking and office apps

Are they good and worth the battery life or should i stick to an intel/ryzen (i would love suggestions tbh i never understood laptop cpus naming), the pc is around 700/800 dollars wich is nothing considering in my country laptops are very expensive

I dont know what type of farm he did but its something about raising gimmighouls since a friend told me he saw in his house a ton of gimmighouls throwing coins at an incredible speed

title explains, my friend rides a pokemon and after a while the game freezes, he can hear himself move but the screen is frozen and sometimes it flickers black

we thought it was immediatelyfast since it does that on some pcs but it wasnt, that problem occurs everytime he rides a pokemon

i purchased an inspiroy frego S as my first tablet ever since they told me its a good option, when i got it it was amazing, windows always has some default drivers or something like that, and it was nice, it could be used to navigate and use the pen as a mouse since i could use it to scroll pages and go back to the previous page if i slide the cursor to the right, but when i downloaded the inspiroy frego drivers it was horrible, the custom pointer turned into the default windows cursor, you couldnt scroll or turn back to the previous page, i checked if it was a setting and no, im sure i tested every option and its like it just works like that, so i decided to just delete the drivers but that left me with no utility on some apps, what can i do? is there a way so those drivers work like the default windows drivers?
