The greatest compliment I've gotten as a DM

Just wrapped up another session of a undead/crunchy campaign that has been going great!

The party just fought against a raised Paladin being controlled by an evil sorcerer

Two party members die!

The Undead Paladin coldly impales the two by the heart. The Barbarian thanks the survivors for trusting her, the party's paladin tosses them his Orders amulet before dying by his old masters undead hand

After we've wrapped up session, my girlfriend says:

"You need to go fuckin shake G. R. R. Martin's hand after this one, ye fuckin _rude bastard_"

Airports. Fucking. SUCK.

Here I am, trying to fly from my home city to see my partner up in Canada

Get there an hour and a half early, all checked in, through security, no problem!!

Board the plane, everything is on time, everyone gets on board without issue.

"Hey folks, bad news, San Francisco decided it's just not gonna bring planes in today, so we're gonna have a two and half hour delay, please get off the plane! Don't worry we'll reschedule you"

Apparently only one plane is allowed to enter Canada a day because now my flight is rescheduled for *tomorrow* at 7 in the morning. After waking up at four in the morning, now I get to wake up at four in the morning *again*.

A day I was supposed to spend traveling and then seeing my long distance partner now completely wasted on top of $100 for a hotel for the evening.

I wish just ONCE I could book a flight up to Canada without having to deal with endless bullshit after already paying out the ass

Daemonic Brutes

I've been thinking about using some Daemonic brutes in my Emperor's Children army

Would the new Mutilators kit be a good proxy for those? Would you accept it as a proxy? 🤔

Thanks!

This is definitely not universal, many elderly people are delightful or at the very least polite

But I've been in customer service for going on ten years now and the way some older people act makes my blood boil.

I've been screamed at, told to go fuck myself, all the usuals and that's just water off my back but the way rude elderly people think they can talk down to me, treat me like I'm stupid, say absolutely vile things, and just hide it behind the 'oh I'm just an senior citizen' half baby talk voice pisses me off

Today, what set this off, I was helping someone figure out a return that hadn't been processed. I explain that we'll need their information and might need them to come in. Once we get to the other side of complain/whine island I get some more info and this old hag finally tells me that her purchase AND return was done AT ANOTHER FUCKING LOCATION????

I explain that she'll have to speak with that store about her refund since, you know, IT WAS AT THEIR STORE

"Oh, ok, I'll talk to them. I guess you just don't know your job"

I just tell her to have a nice day and hang up while she's still yammering.

Same generations that need constant coddling and praise for existing but treat anyone younger than them like idiots

Being older isn't an excuse to treat people like garbage. -SIGH-

Thank you
