Those security alerts that say "your password was exposed in the dark web" and don't say which one

This annoys me so much, getting random notifications from the bank "your password is exposed in the dark web for email xxxxx@xxxx, you should change your password"

Like, what password are we talking about? i have hundreds of accounts with that email all with different passwords. Am i supposed to change my password from over a hundred accounts without knowing which password was exposed and from which website?
Most likely, the "exposed" password is a more than 10 year old password that i havent used in the last decade in the first place.

This information is absolutely useless without saying which password was exposed or at the very minimum which website is the account associated with that password.

Seriously useless notifications causing more trouble than benefit.

Edit: Just to clarify, i don't mean the bank's password itself, they do this service of "dark web monitoring" where they track any mention of your email anywhere in the dark web. Several banks and other providers like google itself do it.

Got offered 7500 compensation points, is it fair?

The room just across mine is a suite with about 40 young people who are throwing a party, constantly walking in and out of the room, shouting in the hallway right outside my door and it feels almost as if they are inside my room.

Yesterday night they were loud all night until the morning which means i didn't sleep. Today they are doing it again, second sleepless night, i got offered to move to another room and 7500 points in compensation by the front desk. The room change happened after 1am and i have a flight tomorrow.

Is it a fair compensation? Im not experienced with situations like this.

For what ive seen in this subreddit, i havent seen any compensation under 10k points so far.

Is the 24hs ambassador checkout only applicable to 1 night stays?

I just got denied the 24hs checkout by the hotel because i "booked for 2 nights".

I asked to speak with the manager and, he explained to me that "24hs checkout is only applicable to 24hs stays".

I almost never needed this benefit in the past (almost always 4pm is enough for me), so i didn't know what to expect, but it feels off.

I always thought the 24hs checkout works for whenever you checkout, no matter if the stay is 1 night or 10 nights.

Did i always get it wrong?

If this is only for 1 night stays, this would be the most useless benefit i heard about, as i almost never stay for just 1 night in a hotel.

Can someone confirm to me if i have been stupid all this time and i got it all wrong?

Are explore rate guests entitled to the same elite benefits as everyone else?

I've been traveling on an explore rate for many years and never had any issues with elite benefits.

However, in the last month i was denied elite benefits by 2 different hotels and i wonder if something changed, or if it was always like this?

First one told me "We can't give you 4pm late checkout because you are on an explore rate".

And second one is "We can't upgrade your room because you are on an explore rate".

Honestly i am confused. I thought benefits are determined by the elite level, and not by the rate?

So if you have for example, an ambassador on an explore rate, or a platinum on a regular rate, would you upgrade the ambassador first or the platinum first?

Anyway this year was the first time i encountered such comments from the staff... i wonder if its coincidence or not.

Edit: These two cases were in USA, i wonder if its an USA only thing? In any other country i was never mentioned that.

How can i make chatgpt read existing texts that i have?

I want to copy paste long texts into chatgpt and have it read it aloud for me, without it adding its own response to it.

Is there any easy way to do this?

Need advise from X9 ultra chinese version users: i am about to buy it

I want to buy the chinese version because its is way cheaper in the USA compared to the global version.

So far, the problems i read, majority are non existent, or have a solution, for example:

"Android auto doesn't work" - Users report it does work
"5g doesn't work" - Many users report 5g works great in USA and Europe.
"Circle to search doesn't work" - There's a free app in the play store that does that.
"Esim doesn't work"- Can use a physical 9esim
"Google wallet doesn't work". this one is complicated for me... some people say it works perfectly, others say that some banks don't work with the chinese version. Can someone confirm? I use google wallet all the time so this could be a dealbreaker for me.

Except for the google wallet issue, which i am not sure about yet. Is there any other problem i am missing?

Based on this i am very tempted to buy the chinese version, because of the price, and also because i like white color, and it's not available in the global version.

Thanks!

Does anyone use the chinese x9 ultra in USA with T mobile? 5g and 4g work well?

I want to buy the chinese version to save money (and get 16gb) but not sure if i would make a mistake with the 4g/5g coverage.

Can anyone who has it confirm if it works well in USA?

Also any other problems with the chinese version, such as google pay not working or android auto not working?

thanks!

When you ask an "either or" question and they answer with "yes or no"

I just asked on a reddit post: "Is this video real or is it AI"?

Redditor answer : "I don't think so".

So he doesn't think its real, or he doesn't think its AI?

Extended roaming, would multi network be a workaround for time limits?

Im probably going to be roaming for an extended period this year. In order to avoid getting cut off, I wonder if switching between 2 different lines would work?

For example, 3 months on lightspeed, and the next 3 months on warp, and so on.

Would this be a workaround for getting the dreaded warning email of too much roaming?

Or does multi network have nothing to do with this?

Just to clarify: i dont need multi network to improve my reception or anything like that, im happy with only lightspeed, i would only add multi network if it makes any difference for the purpose of extended traveling.

Can i pause service?

Hi, was wondering if that option exists like in google Fi, where you can pause service for up to 90 days at a time without being charged.

I often only activate google fi when traveling during times when i will need my us number to talk with banks or something similar, or when i know i will travel to some place where i will absolutely need the data. And keep it disabled the rest of the time.

When paused no charges come through and only the days of the month when it was activated are charged as far as i know (not the whole month). That allows me to keep my same number but use it only as needed.

Why is Darkstar "recommended for international travelers" if lightspeed has more countries?

I'm confused as to which one i should choose, as they recommended option in the website is not the one with the most countries supported? Quite the opposite, darkstar seems to be the one with the least countries supported among all 3 options.

What exactly makes darkstar recommended for international travel?

Confused about activation with lightspeed.

I just got 2 sim cards, labeled warp and darkstar. But i want to activate lightspeed, how can i do that?

Edit: I am going through the purchase process, thinking i did something wrong, but there's nowhere in the purchase process mentioned that lightspeed is not included or that i need to order it separately, and i will be traveling soon, this is why i spent the extra money for overnight shipping. Is this a terrible customer experience or am i really doing something wrong?

Does anyone here use Chase bank with google fi? They rejected my number

They say my google fi number is not eligible for text alerts and they forced me to go to the bank to verify my identity.

Has anyone had any similar problem with Chase and is there any workaround for it?
