I haven’t seen many physical games posts here, but I’ve seen folks post the results of their video games and found them helpful and motivating
I dunno if this post will be helpful to anyone, and I know my game still has ways to go, but I figured any sort of feedback would be worthwhile
Here’s what my process looks like these past 6 months :
+1 Twitter post per 1 or 2 days
+10 Reddit posts per month on average on multiple art or game related subs
+2 Itch devlogs per month on average
+1 Discord post per week
I admit that I rarely post links directly leading to my game, which means the results of these 6 months on Itch mostly come from viewers searching for the game by their on initiative. This may seem inefficient, but I don't like the forceful feeling that I get when adding links
Here's the average amount of activity my game has gotten on Itch :
~10 views per day on average
~5 downloads per day on average
At this point in time, my print&play card game with these stats is in 267th place in Popular Physical Game when filtering Free
I'm aware there is movement every day ! every game deserves a chance ~
Thank you for reading ~
