I'll beat you to the punch. This is a skill issue. I'm ok with that because I've reached my sanity threshold chasing tech unicorns with this. I update the OS, the volume control for the tv takes a shit. Just spent 30 minutes troubleshooting that and nope, don't work. I stopped using it a month ago and went to the shield because changing inputs from the ugoos to anything else and then back to the ugoos gave me a black screen yet had audio. I've been unplugging replugging every goddamn cable from this for weeks and weeks. Finger fucking every setting. Tweaking this and that. I'm done. I can't take it anymore. The box is maybe 3 months old. I have the UR02 remote (pairing that took me fucking days because the bluetooth menu of available devices was having an unending series of small strokes) and the box it came with. Message me if you're interested. Again, this is probably 99.9% user error.

Hi folks. My 4k movies show a refresh rate of 24 Hz to match the content, but 1080p movies/shows are at 60Hz. I go from the Nvidia Shield or the Ugoos AM6B Plus through my Q800F then to the tv. When I connect it this way and go to settings on the streaming box, 1080p display options below 1080p 50Hz are not there. When I plug a streaming box into the tv, the 1080p at 24Hz display options are there. I have an LG B5 TV which has all the necessary display possibilities as shown by it's ability to handle 4k at 24Hz. I've been chasing this unicorn for weeks and everything points to the soundbar. Help!

Hi folks. My 4k movies show a refresh rate of 24 Hz but 1080p movies/shows are at 60Hz. On settings, device preferences, Display and Sound, Advanced Display Settings, Custom Display Mode and finally Display Modes, the 1080p at 24 Hz is completely absent. The lowest the 1080p goes is 50Hz. No 24, no 23.976. Oddly enough I had the exact same situation with my Ugoos box and had to use SSH to inject the missing 1080p resolutions into the box. Any suggestions here?

Hi folks. I use Plex to locally stream 4k and 1080p remuxes. I currently have the Ugoos AM6B+ and it does a good job displaying my media and has a lot of nerdy metadata I can bring up while I'm in the middle of watching something, but I find myself tinkering and tweaking it multiple times a week and the real hassle is the HDMI handshake. I have to follow a specific, inefficient series of steps to get it started or else I'll have a black screen with audio oddly. Whenever I read a comment from a Shield owner, it's almost always positive so I figured I'd dive in. I'll keep both boxes connected. I know the Shield doesn't handle FEL of Profile 7. Does that matter in anyone's opinion? I know this is a Shield subreddit but most of the posts here give a balanced review. Granted, it seems very few movies use FEL including some that are considered having top-notch video quality. I'm curious if any tips getting it up and running would help me. I don't need streaming services like Netflix, et al, and I'll be connecting the Shield via ethernet. Thanks for reading all this.

I have what I’m guessing is an HDMI handshake problem. I have the AM6B+, LG B5 TV and a Samsung Q800F soundbar. The AM6B+ goes to the soundbar HDMI input and from the soundbar to the TV via eARC. The problem:

To access the AM6B+, I have to turn on the TV and go to the input menu. I turn on the box and it boots up fine and works beautifully. But the second I put anything else on the screen, it goes black and sometimes it shows No Signal. For example, if I switch inputs to my Apple TV and go back to the AM6B+, even within seconds, I get a black screen that I can’t fix unless I power cycle the AM6B+ while on the TV input menu. Even if I just bring up the LG input screen, the AM6B+ goes black.

What I’ve tried so far:

I disabled the CE CEC function.

I enabled the CE CEC but disabled everything in the settings except the Enabled toggle.

I added an CEC-Less HDMI adapter between the AM6B+ and its HDMI cable going to the soundbar.

I turned off Quick Start on the TV.

I’ve confirmed the CE interface is set to 1080p.

Turned off all sleep and screensavers on the AM6B+.

Confirmed the Adjust display refresh rate is set to On start/stop.

When the AM6B+ screen goes black, the UR02 remote appears to still work because the buttons trigger the remote LED to show blue.

I’m on the CE Omega P3i and I’m also using PM4K on the beta release channel.

If there’s any troubleshooting I should do that I haven’t please let me know. I might have forgotten a few things I’ve done because I’ve been tinkering with it for a week or more but I’ll remember if anyone suggests something I’ve done already. If any of the things I tried were pointless keep in mind I’ve been at a loss for this for a while.

Including the last commercial or two, 23 minutes until the movie started after the showtime.

I'm able to rip 4k movies fine. But a couple times in the last day, when I would start checking and unchecking the files I want to rip on the left side, right in the middle of it, it goes to no disc and all the options on the left disappear. The drive is brand new and of course I'm praying it's not bad. Any thoughts? I unplugged it for a couple hours the first time and it ripped four UHD discs just fine but it happened again just now with a different disc.

This is Bullet Train 4k. After this attempt, the drive started ticking. MakeMKV was trying to initialize it and after a minute or two showed no disc. I switched to an identical BR player and the discs are now being recognized. Here is the error:

Hi folks. I did search everything I could think of but I wasn't able to find an answer. Is there a way to get the BBC feed of World Cup games like England vs. Ghana yesterday? I know there's a dedicated app on the Elite Ultra, but I was hoping I could get the BBC and their commentary. Please don't roast me. I searched the apps for BBC, looked on the FB groups, searched here and there was a recent post about an APK which I'm unfamiliar with so I was curious if there's something else. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi folks. When I'm at the main screen of a movie or tv show where it shows the cast at the bottom, when I click on anyone, it brings me to a new page that just lists the movies I own that they're also in. Is there a way to show all their previous work like the Plex app on Apple TV, etc? Any help is appreciated. If this should be in a different subreddit, please direct me and I apologize in advance.

Everything works perfectly and I'm more than thrilled with it. The only hiccup if you could call it that is the actor info for movies or tv shows isn't there. When I bring up an actor, the screen has no info. I'm not home but if a photo will help, please let me know. Maybe this is the way it was set up? Any help is appreciated.

I was wondering, of the 5 studio albums before Matt joined, which songs did he take the most creative liberties with during live shows? I'm not fast at recollecting things like that but I'm sure we'll have some great opinions here. I don't think I've heard him miss a beat in any live CDs I've purchased. He's incredible.

My system runs pretty cool in general during gameplay but when I end a raid and manage my inventory, my GPU goes from 98% to 100% and the temps go from about 60°c to 70°c the second I get into the inventory. 5070ti, 7800x3D. I'm planning to dust it out but there isn't a ton of dust. Any suggestions? I reset the GPU btw.

My buddy and I went to AC in 1994 but we cannot piece together some of the details. Gee I wonder why. We're trying to find the name of this cool bar/lounge that we think was in the Tropicana or maybe the Taj Mahal. I think I'll recognize it when I see it. I can't imagine anyone would know this but I figured I'd try.
