Overall, Babcock was pleased with his team's performance, calling it a solid win tonight in San Jose.

“His team’s gonna play fast. He’s got a bunch of young players with size and speed and skill.”
He says he knows Q well “we worked together a bunch of times, and he’s a good man” and has a clear idea of what Anaheim brought in last spring’s playoffs.
With today’s lineup, he says they can’t simply “race up and down the rink and hope to have success.” Instead, the approach has to be a “forechecking track game” and taking care of the puck.
“If we want to race up and down the rink, it’s not gonna go our way.”
