Interview after originally being passed up etiquette

Hi! I’ve been applying to / interviewing to roles for my first real job after grad school. A few weeks ago, I interviewed for a role and they passed on me almost immediately due to insufficient experience. In the screener, they said this was a possibility, that I’m a great culture fit but poor experience fit.

However, two weeks later, I got an email asking me to rejoin the interview process. Yay! I’m prepping for my interview and I’m kinda stuck on if I should address the lack of experience that made them pass on me initially. I’ve thought of how I’d talk about it, but I’m worried that I just should avoid the topic altogether. Any advice? Also, in case it is relevant, this is a chapter of a semi-large nonprofit organization. Theres a small team in the whole chapter (5-15 people).

Shaming people for asking questions / needing help is the worst thing you can do

This is something regularly on my mind, especially as someone in the animal welfare sphere. And before anyone says it, yes I know it is mostly an internet thing, but people do act like this in person, too.

Too often, someone asks a genuine question and gets a response like “omg this has to be ragebait” or “maybe think for a couple minutes” or “did you try searching on google?” Like yes, some questions are annoying to answer time and time again but the person is trying to learn/understand something! If this happens on the internet, just don’t respond to the post! It’s that simple! Or someone is asking for help, like someone is asking if they should fix their cat. Yes, to us in animal welfare, the answer is obvious, but this person is asking in good faith!

With people needing things, I see people struggling to afford premium food for their pet or commenting on how an unexpected $10,000 vet bill is killing them, and the response is that they should have thought about that before adopting. Sometimes people surrender their pets to the shelter for unaffordability, and they get slandered by the shelter on the internet and all the comments talk about how horrible they are

I get frustration. I see so many things that frustrate me, especially in rescue work. If it’s in person, I bite my tongue in front of them and express my frustrations in private to a third party or my journal. If it’s on the internet, I just scroll past! By making people feel so awful, we discourage people from asking for help, being curious, trying to GROW and be better. Was gonna put this in pet peeves, but wasn’t sure if it fit, and I just needed to put it somewhere.

Marquise gave an interview where she talks a bit about DA, Katseye, and Prelude!

She didn't go too in detail, but it was interesting to hear from her!

Birthday treat ideas that don’t involve wet food

Hi all! This is such a silly post, but I want to do something special for my girl’s birthday. She turns 14 in July, and she’s had a year. She was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and been such a good girl about the medication and vet visits! My only issue is - all the ideas I find involve wet food. My girl refuses to eat wet food (except the jelly like gravy on top of some). I was hoping everyone here might have some great ideas! Kitty picture for tax and attention :)

Hi all! I've been on a bra journey after finally getting my sizing from here (34F... yay). I've found that unlined bras really work best for me in terms of comfort and support. However, my current bra is a like $20 one off of Amazon that has too much space in the wire holder, so the wire can uhh slide around? So, I figure the wire will poke out faster than average and I'm trying to find a better quality bra for after this one's done lol. Nip coverage isn't a concern - got nipple covers - but would be a plus.

I'm looking for something breathable - like mesh. No lace, no frills. If possible, a convertible back, but not 100% needed lol. I can't spend an arm and a leg, but I'm willing to splurge a bit for a long-lasting one. Any suggestions?

Hi all! I was gifted a $100 certificate to this spa near me for my birthday because i mentioned considering going to get my skin questions answered. Now I’m booked for a facial tmrw and my anxiety is UP! Any advice on what to expect? My skin is super reactive, which is one of my biggest concerns - but i also just don’t know what a one hour facial entails! Attached a screenshot of the facial description in case it helps.
