DDR-5 RAM for laptop - what type to get?

Hello, I am about to buy a Lenovo LOQ 2025 15,6" i7 laptop with a single 12gb DDR-5 4800 stick but room for another one.

So I want to get another stick right away, and I found a reasonably priced (all things considered) stick of 12gb DDR-5 PC5-44800, 262-pin SO-DIMM.

Is this the right type of RAM for a Lenovo LOQ laptop? And will I be able to dual channel the two sticks (I read something about the slowest stick will set the pace)? I am not looking for a recommendation for a specific product, just if it's the right type of RAM?

Hello, I was about to buy a Forerunner 265 when I saw I can get a Fenix 7 Pro Solar for about $50 more. Is it worth it?

I initially wanted to upgrade from my Vivoactive 5 to the Forerunner to take advantage of better running stats and more storage for music plus general stats/HR/VO2 max and such. If my activities are really limited to running, a bit of cycling and swimming, is the Fenix worth it over the 265? Ìs it equally good at running activities?

Is it annoying to wear in sleep? It's a bit chunky and heavy.

What are people's experiences and opinions?

I had my eyes set on the Forerunner, but the price difference is so small (the Fenix offer really is great) and I know the Fenix is a more "premium" watch. I've read a few posts with people recommending one watch over the other, but that was with a larger price difference in mind. Is it just a no-brainer to get the Fenix when it's only $50 more?

EDIT: I went ahead and grabbed that bad boy! Thanks for the advice!

Hello, I have a Vivoactive 5, less than a year old, got offered a decent price for it. At the same time there's a really good deal on Forerunner 265 here, so the upgrade will only set me back around $200.

I recently started running, and I guess the added running features as well as the increased storage for music (8gb vs 4gb) will prove useful, and I like the design better (although I am a bit worried I will find it uncomfortable to sleep with the bulkier 265 on my arm).

Is the upgrade worth it?

EDIT: I can get a Fenix 7 Pro Solar for about $50 more than the Forerunner 265. Should I go for that?

Hello I am tired of carrying around a giant phone and miss the days of being able to just slide my phone into my pockets and go for a run without a lot of issues.

I've been looking at my options for a small factor phone, either Android or iPhone, and 13 mini still seems the best choice.

My usage is quite limited. I use my phone to listen to youtube videos via Brave, Garmin software, NFC payment, Tidal, banking and a map/gps app.

Will I get locked out of updates for those apps any time soon? I had the original iPhone SE from 2016 to 2024, so I got incredible mileage out of that. How many years into the future can I expect a 13 mini to still be able to run updated apps?

Hello, I find phones to be the most useless expense on the planet, and I don't care about cameras, screen refresh rates, wireless charging and all that BS people get hyped about.

I do however like the practicality of being able to use various "must-have" apps, listen to music and such. Currently I got an enormous brick (OnePlus CE 4 Lite Nord or whatever it's called), but I would like something that will easily slip into a pocket, that I can take with me for a run without having to carry around more gadgets to be able to carry my phone gadget. Those plastic cases people strap to their arms look so dumb.

USB-C, NFZ, GPS, 5G, somewhat decent battery life, aptX lossless or LDAC bluetooth codecs, and not being too close to the edge of forced obsolescence are my priorities.

What are my options? I was very fond of the 2016 iPhone SE that I had until 2024, but I would rather have a (cheap) Android phone.
