Just a follow up on my first post about a surprise for my wife. First off she loved the thought and concept behind the pumpkins and decided to leave it alone and not mess with it. Second, the ski poles on the shed was appreciated however she immediately suggested adding a set of antique wood skis and wood snow shoes to complete the aesthetic. Lastly , the comments here were helpful and somewhat intriguing especially the ones made about some of your own husbands! Anyway the support has inspired me to expand on my decorating projects and I plan to share some more in the future. This little pond (approximately 250 gallons) in my garden got extremely murky this year. This is the eighth year I’ve had it and I have always kept the water clear , using my SolarRiver pump to aerate and adding a few barley bales here and there with a few pieces of submerged copper for added help. Typically here in upstate New York I do one maybe two partial water changes and never really had it get like this. I used to have plants but it really made no noticeable difference so I stopped doing that years ago. So my question is , are there any safe , home remedy alternatives to clear up the water? We have an insane amount of tadpoles and frogs living here btw. Ty!!!!

We get these now and again, usually after a drought followed by a quick rain. This one is in a very shady area.

I have these weird pockets of space around my home that are very bare. Should I consider planting in these places or would you keep it the way it is? I took a front and rear picture of the house so you could see the aesthetic of the layout. Ultimately if I was to add something it would have to be perennial and extremely low maintenance. I already have an abundance of ferns around if that makes any difference. Thank you for your input and time.

Getting estimates,here in upstate New York, between $2200 and $4000, does this sound reasonable for soil remediation and sod installation including a few small boxwoods and some Myrtle?

Big enough for my phone and keys, not an issue with riding. Never thought of putting this on my dj but it’s almost unnoticeable when riding
