Thoughts on Carly Rae Jepsen going more Pop-rock?
I’m digging this sound for her more than her past few albums.

I’m digging this sound for her more than her past few albums.
I made a thread earlier this week before starting, and everyone mentioned the Nausea. End of day 3 and i never felt nauseous once, this morning i even took it on an empty stomach. this one might be the one for me.
side-effects: took me a while to fall asleep 1st night because my brain felt so „lit up”, and woke up a few tired throughout the night. Also, my body’s needs are Very apparent, if im thirsty i’ll know it, if im hungry ill feel starving!! I’ve been craving very fatty foods, but I don’t mind :)
positives: the mental noise and chaos are gone! I don’t think this is the effects of the serotonin YET, as those can take weeks to build up(or for the drug to build up), but I think im Low-Acetylcholine, and trintellix raises this downstream. I feel this mental sense of peace and calm. I’m no longer my usual frantic-chaotic energy when im out for groceries or doing household tasks. At the same time doing things i found to be a chore(which was almost everything even things i enjoyed) i do much more eagerly now. Anxiety down, like im so used to and expect when my anxiety will hit(specific thoughts i have) and now its like „oh i was expecting a surge of anxiety but it never came, nice!” Im so happy 🫶
where can I be messy and discuss pop girls now?? 😭
My GP referred me to an Autism Assessment to Telemed MD in Canada (done via Zoom), when they called me to book they said they have 1 doctor which does the assessment in a 90min timeframe , and then another doctor only requires 30mins for the assessment.
I chose the 30 minute assessment session as my lunch hour is only 60mins, but now im second guessing that I chose the wrong one, im horrible at explaining my symptoms and traits so doctors usually dismiss me. Has anyone heard about different assessment timings like this? what are the differences? is one better than the other?
I really need help, unmediated I struggle a lot, especially with executive disfunction. but the lowest doses of stimulants push me over the edge (sensory overstimulated, no working memory, my words are jumbled when i speak, my thoughts at chaotic and i can’t think straight, i just want to laydown and shutdown. SSRI (zoloft) put me into a ssri induced apathy/couch potato. strattera didn’t do much for me.
anyone experienced similar? what worked for you? i am on concerta now but it completely makes my brain unworkable, i will be trying 5mg Adderall XR next.
Hi, I am likely starting Trintellix for my sleep time racing thoughts/rumination, social/phone anxiety, and excessive worry.
However often times on here I see rave results after 2-4 months use, but then that same person will follow up later on that they’re no longer on it for whatever reasons. Has anyone been successfully on it for 1-2years+ and still getting good results from it long term?
i went for a jog early this week and took these.🌤️
Considered to be her breakthrough hit apart from you broke me first or greedy, so I’m curious where everyone stands. I’ll go first.
now to the song lol. I think it's heavily carried by its production, but in the best way possible. The electropop/aggressive bass really what makes the track so addictive. Without it, I don’t think it would hit nearly as hard. and the intentional whisper in the chorus, makes it standout and candy to my ears.
It also shows Tate in a completely different light, more confident and a bit more provocative. I’ve seen comparisons to “Buttons” by the Pussycat Dolls, which makes sense and probably explains some of that nostalgic factor. Before her recent era she was more of a sad girl singer like Olivia, Billie and Gracie Abrams.
Overall, I think it’s a really strong pop track. It feels fresh, like something you don’t hear every day, and it’s super ear-catching. One of those songs you end up replaying without even realizing it.
What do you all think?
Do you feel like Tate’s label is pushing a more sexualized image, or does this feel like a natural evolution for her? And in ur opinion is the song actually good to you?
Yes or no?
The simple basics style since the late 2010s is still going strong but it’s evolved to more relaxed in 2026. What will you be wearing this summer, is it these fits?

DISCLAIMER: Doechii would be somewhere in there but I don’t consider her a popgirl but strictly a rapper. Same with Ice Spice. also when I made this search a year ago Camila Cabello was there, looks like now she’s fallen out, at least for now, we’ll see when she drops her new album. Alessia Cara too. I’m sure new girls like Renee Rapp, Bella Kay, Madison Beer, Raven Lenae, ADÉLA, Ayra Starr, Stella Lefty, Jihyo, Jessie Murph, Freya Skye, Rose Gray, and Chloe Bailey are getting up there. There’s also the niche electrodance/Hyperpop(Slayyter/Addson) or indie-folk(Melanie Martinez/Gigi Perez) girls I didn’t include.
Hey Tator Tots and pop music fans! I want you to help build this from the ground up! Whether you've been a fan since her dance days, a critic or just a casual listener of her latest hits, this is your new home.
Since we are just starting out, I want this community to be shaped by music fans. Drop your thoughts below on:
The Vibe: What should our aesthetic, user flairs, and banners look like?
The Rules: What guidelines do we need to keep this space fun, safe, honest and neutral? Would you prefer an open more-relaxed, and not overly moderated environment?
Discussion Topics: What do you want to talk about first? (Tour updates, new music, album critiques, song brackets, fashion, unreleased tracks?)
Any suggestions are welcome 🤗
I recently started stimulants and it unmasked all of these unwanted traits/symptoms i don’t even know were ever there. I’m currently on Concerta 36mg.
Most noticeable, after taking stimulant, i have a 10 second memory. Like im talking to my dad about something, and he interrupts me and is saying something else, and then he’s like what were you saying? And im like trying to think and i can’t recall. ITS BEEN 10 seconds. My memory has never been this bad, im so spaced out. I thought stimulants would do the opposite.
It’s only been several weeks, but should i stop stims and accept they’re not for me? or should i stick it out and the negative side effects will pass? 😢
I remembered her from yesterdays thread about melanin lacking rnb singers. She sort of sounds like Rihanna, and she’s got PIPES! Thoughts?
She also has a song with Muni Long: https://youtu.be/tVQTNO675Qk?si=5cpiVXUkJyRJfQ8H/

i was wondering which of her songs the gays love best, as a massive tater tot it would be interesting to see if overall we prefer her cunty electropop, or her more chill Billie alt-pop type songs.
