How did you discover RimWorld?
I discovered it on a 2022 summer morning on a discord server where someone randomly sent their colony screenshot and said they were proud of it. 2022 was also the most peaceful year in my life so far.

I love the idea of "live long enough to become the villain". We start where MC is a ray of sunshine, then later becomes a ray of solar death.
Even better if the MC is an antagonist. I hate the "cut,e morally conscious protagonist that never makes mistakes, and if they did, they had to" type of character.
Gravity manipulation - You can shift the direction and intensity of gravity within a 15-meter radius of yourself. You can change "down" to be a nearby wall, or increase gravity up to 3 Gs to pin opponents to the floor (you can affect yourself on command).
Weight manipulation - You can alter the mass of any object you are physically touching, scaling it anywhere from 1% to 1000% of its original mass. You could make a motorcycle light enough to carry up a flight of stairs, or make your fist weigh 300 pounds right before a punch connects. Planetary level is impossible, and you must maintain physical contact to keep the mass altered.
Light manipulation - You can actively bend and refract light waves within your line of sight. You can weave light around yourself for perfect invisibility, cast complex illusions, or focus ambient sunlight into a high-heat laser point. If you bend all light around yourself, you'll be blind. Alternatively, you can bend light around the enemy instead.
Time manipulation - You can accelerate your own biological and physical processes, effectively perceiving the world at 1/10th speed (bullet time). Your reaction times and physical speed scale perfectly to match your perception. The longer you use your powers, the more exhausted your body will be.
This might be the one and only reason I believe in a divine god. If when we die, it's just a black screen, then it's overwhelmingly unfair.
People who raped and killed people would just get away with it? Even if they did get punished in life, there's thousands or millions of bad things they did that they didn't get punished for, either ones we know about or ones we don't.
So where do evil people go? There's a couple of people who did me wrong and I want to just ask them why, nothing more. I will rest full of hate and rage if I don't get back at these people, and the only thing holding me back from insanity is that I'll see them when we die.
Also, the idea of hell and heaven technically makes you avoid fucking others' lives. So that's that.
EDIT: apparently atheists believe that; yes, criminals will get away with it, and the only way to get them punished is here in life, not after they die. Even if they are kings or queens or people of power that you'll only dream of punishing. No afterlife where everyone is equal and judged equally. Even if there's no judgement after we die, I wouldn't lose anything from believing in it, and it's good for the peace of mind.
The idea of reincarnation states that however you do in this life will decide what your next life will be. You do bad stuff, you reincarnate as a rat or a pig. You do good, you may as well reincarnate as a falcon or an angel.
But what decides if these lives are good or bad? A rat may look at me and say "ew imagine I was this hairless simian that has to wipe his butt after he shits". Or maybe I enjoy the life of a rat? Maybe I hate to live as a angel? (Assuming reincarnation is real)
In addition, the idea of reincarnation states that souls are "recycled", respectively. In this day and age? With mountains of food trash? How are all these people and creatures are the same souls they used to be? It also kills the idea of a divine deity, as a divine deity in that ideology can't even create a new soul.
So just to be crystal clear; there used to be no creatures on earth, right? Then how did the first and second and third souls appear? They were created? Stop right there, reincarnation is debunked.
I might have diverged away from the main topic but you get the idea.
Rostam Farrokhzād was a dynast from the Ispahbudhan family, who served as the spahbed ("military marshal") of the northwestern quarter (kust) of Adurbadagan under the Sasanian monarchs Boran (r. 630–630, 631–632) and Yazdegerd III (r. 632–651). It is narrated in history books (such as "Al-Kamil fi al-Tarikh") that Rustam Farrukhzad, the commander of the Persian army in the Battle of Qadisiyah, expressed his astonishment at the Arabs' unexpected strength and might, as he is quoted as saying: "It is Umar ibn al-Khattab who speaks to dogs and teaches them reason," meaning that the Arabs, whom he considered a people lacking wisdom or imperial organization, had become an invincible force thanks to Umar's leadership.
On the other hand, Abu Bahr Al-Ahnaf ibn Qays was a Muslim commander who lived during the time of Islamic prophet Muhammad. Al-Ahnaf ibn Qays (the chief of Banu Tamim) is considered one of the most prominent figures who lived during the time of the Persians and interacted with them. A detailed and insightful description of their psychology and character is attributed to him in a gathering with Mu'awiya ibn Abi Sufyan. Mu'awiya asked al-Ahnaf about his opinion of the people of the various regions, and al-Ahnaf, in describing the Persians, said: "As for the Persians, I have seen people who are masters of this world, constantly clinging to matters as if they were their lifeblood. They are cunning and deceitful. Do not be deceived by their apparent submissiveness, for if they feel secure, they will attack; if they gain power, they will kill; and if they become wealthy, they will become tyrannical. Nothing but calamity and disaster will ever come from them."
If i had a nickel for every actual ex muslim in that subreddit, I'll have two. Which isn't much, because they weren't muslims in the first place!
Every single post is just islamophobic shitpost with all comments boiling with rage for some reason. No real mindful debates, no real ex muslims, just pure hate and dumbshittery.
I was born sunni muslim, and yes, I'm an actual muslim unlike the vast majority of this sub.
It all started in 8th grade, when I asked my school Quran teacher "which ocean did Noah take place?". He said "good question! The whole world was an ocean."
This was almost 10 years ago, and the more I grow and think about it, the more it doesn't make sense. Why is there no records of the whole world being under water? How did Noah collect the massive amount of animals into one ship? And even if he managed to, how did all these animals survive from only 2 parents? Some species need genetic diversity to reproduce efficiently, and 2 won't make the deal for them.
Fast-forward I did a deep research about it because I had nothing to do, and the closest record I found is the dead sea flooding along with heavy rains, which drowned a huge amount of land under water. So I thought "if this was the case, then Noah's story was just exaggerated over the generations to what we have now. Then what prevents all stories in the Quran from being the same case?"
Ever since I have been praying without a sense of peace and spirituality, not even in the holy masjid al-haram. I tried reaching out for help from sheikhs and zealots but all I found was "it's a miracle!", "we don't know if it's global or local, we'll never know", "don't overthink it".
I feel like a bland meat without taste, idk if I'm considered a muslim or not, even though I still pray regularly.
"Damn what a society we live in! Men lustful, women productive!"
Just shut the fuck up, both are human, both lust, both work, both have god knows what problems just like each other.
This one is either made by a 14 year old or a braindead misandrist. A mentally healthy grown up wouldn't post this shit.
Abd al-Raḥmān III, was the Umayyad Emir of Córdoba from 912 to 929, at which point he founded the Caliphate of Córdoba, serving as its first caliph until his death.
He is described as having "white skin, blue eyes and attractive face; good looking, although somewhat sturdy and stout. His legs were short, to the point that the stirrups of his saddle were mounted just one palm under it. When mounted, he looked tall, but on his feet he was quite short. He dyed his beard black." He had reddish-blond hair, which he reportedly dyed black to appear more "Arab".
Psychologically or physically. What are the most similar bad characteristics between Andy and Leyley that Wren will probably have?
Last nightmare I had about 2 days ago; it was nighttime but I could tell I was on top of a snow mountain. I was burning alive, breathing heavily from the heat, I took mutliple handfuls of snow and pour it on myself trying to put out the fire, I even rolled in the snow, to no avail. As a last resort I ripped off my leg and tried to offer it to god to put the fire off of me.
Then I woke up, the snow was my white sheets but the cold and heat was my AC unit blowing hot air for some reason. And my ripped off leg was just my leg cramping.
I'm old to the game, but new to the community, so I don't know the full picture here.
Basically every mature game community I've been in they (we) gatekeep the game in hell, so that it doesn't reach minors or worse, get legal issues like this one. This is pretty bad, worst case the game gets cancelled, and it's over. Best case? Some content gets cut that we'll never even know about just to let the game allowed to exist.
Not very simple matter, since the game is on steam, but still, there could be something we could've done, or hopefully do now.
Six dropping Mono in Little Nightmares 2 got me emotionally wounded for a while back in the day.
