Am I overreacting with being frustrated and confused by why remmick seems to be getting treated as the main character in so many online circles? I know people LOVE villains but considering what exactly he does and represents I would have thought that the trend wouldn’t be as prominent? also considering the fact that not one but TWO michael B jordan’s are RIGHT THERE?? I don’t know much about reddit so forgive me if I am doing something wrong but I would very much appreciate second opinions. (is the answer just racism?) moreso confused about the number of smut fics /people shipping him with his victims. My first mistake was probably becoming aware of the sides of fandoms where shipping is more prominent than film analysis 😭 edit: getting lots of mixed messages here

Newish to reddit, but I am working on a project connecting teachers internationally through a short video highlighting similarities between teachers in the USA and teachers in Cambodia. Is anyone able or knows someone who is able to translate some of the video clips we have in english into basic Khmer? It doesn’t have to be through or fancy, we are just trying to ensure the video is accessible for both American teachers as well as those in Cambodia. My own Khmer is very poor and would likely make minimal sense 😂 edit: subtitles would be great, but honestly whatevers easiest! considering translating work would be essentially free labor I would appreciate any of the help I could get!

Hats and sunglasses trigger migraines for anyone else? It seems to be a pretty common trend for me to have a baseball cap on before a killer migraine and i’m wondering if it’s a fluke or if this is something that makes sense/is normal. It was horrible the peaks of COVID, masks seemed to be nearly an instant trigger now that I think about it. I’m new to this community, and I don’t really have a whole lot of experience with migraines, despite having had them for ages and my family working in the migraine botox industry 😂

What does TMA mean to pinterest, because I searched it intending to look at pins related to The Magnus Archives (a podcast, tma is an acronym for it) and got the classic “pins and boards about this topic can be upsetting for people who view them” response. Not a huge deal because I can obviously just type in the whole podcast name to see pins, but it’s got me curious as to if tma means something pinterest thinks is taboo or harmful, or if it’s a bot erro?

My younger sister just went on her first flight without our family and is traveling with a team. Her bag with obscenely expensive gear, and all her clothes was torn to shreds. As in a blanket in the bag was ripped into three pieces and the gear is absolutely destroyed. So much for the fragile stickers. The sports gear on its own is at least $600-700, not including her clothing or the bag itself. Told southwest we needed time to think because they’re offering us only $250!?! Im by no means an expert on any of this, but any tips on how to get them to actually pay what the destruction is worth?

I genuinely have absolutely no clue what to write my common app essay on. All of my “hero’s journey” topic ideas are generally not advised to write about because its somewhat taboo (friends suicide led be to become a well known activist in my community, and the other one is stopping another kid from suicide) or super minor/lame (for example I put out a strangers yard fire yesterday 😂 happy 4th!) My interests involve things I don’t have a personal story attached to (i love bears, but have only seen them in zoos and have yet to do any significant research on them) I have a great gpa but a mediocre SAT so a lot is resting on writing. I am confident I can spin almost any significant topic that apply to me into a decent essay about self growth, values, curiosity, and character, but im running on empty when it comes to topics in the first place! Ive tried all the basic things to generate ideas, shoutout to the college essay guy, but does anyone have any more niche or specific tips to magically have a story worth telling? Sorry for a poorly worded post, it’s very late where I am and i’m not sure my brain is functioning properly!

Lost a close friend to suicide over three and a half years ago, and it feels the same almost every day. Went to the thrift store and saw a shirt they would absolutely love, so I naturally went to the counter to buy it before realizing and putting it back. Cried in the car. Everytime new media comes out I want to text them about it, because they would fucking love that Tomodachi Life shit. I’m not a forgetful person, but I can’t stop forgetting they’re dead. They’ve been dead for a longer time than we were friends. I did therapy for over a year, it wasn’t really working for me so i’ve stopped. I know grief doesn’t “go away” but why the hell won’t it fade at least a little bit? This is normal, i’m assuming?

Is using the term Antisocial harmful towards folks with ASPD? I once heard someone say “i’m antisocial” as in opposite of extrovert is the same as saying “im a little autistic” in the manner that it doesn’t communicate any understanding about what the word truly means. I completely understand the thought process here and was wondering about other people’s input, as I hear it quite often and I don’t have ASPD or know anyone with it. Thoughts?

But how do I get over picky eating? I can’t eat, feel, or see eggs without gagging or throwing up. I cant eat soups of any kind, chile, fishy sauces, steamed vegetables, gravy, bean in all forms, potatoes in all forms, olives, pickles, sushi, and honestly most veggies. There’s probably more im missing. I also can’t eat gluten or watermelon due to allergies. At this point my picky eating is getting annoying and honestly embarrassing, and anything I try to get over it just results in me gagging then getting scared about throwing up. It’s not that I just don’t like them because i’m petty, I just gag every single time.

Are there any ways to get over picky eating without throwing up in the middle of dinner? If not, is there a better term for picky eating so I can describe my issue without sounding like a fussy toddler?

My friend had half of a fully sealed durian milk tea that was sealed in hard plastic in a refrigerated place in a cambodian convenience store. It was not the flimsy plastic seen on plastic cups, but something akin to the plastic of a storage bin.

The tea its self is chinese, definitely 100% factory made.

Headed to mainland SE asia and wondering if anyone has TSA safe food recs! Already planning some dried fruit and gf granola, but hoping to bring tons more options just in case. Traveling to various different cities and towns around the country over a period of two weeks— I know this is incredibly stupid to ask, and you’ll be able to guess my nationality based upon the nature of the question— but is the tenergy drink Redbull carbonated? I remember in a neighboring country to Cambodia I had a redbull it was the consistency of cough syrup with no bubbles and It was absolutely amazing, and have been chasing that high ever since 😭 if there are any other tips or advice for tourists let me know, i’d like to avoid being more incredibly annoying than american tourists already are. On an education based trip, mostly history and ecology if that makes a difference.

Have a single scull, am the only one in my city who rows and am about 4 hour drive away from any clubs or places that know how to help. Was with a coach for a year so I can row just fine, but he recently abandoned me so I had to invest in a second hand shell. Was going absolutely great until my right oar sleeve just rotated over night. Got out on the water this morning and it wouldn’t sit flat or feather, going deep every time. When both oars are laying side by side they look pretty similar, so it might have something to do with my oar lock, but the right oar lock seems no different from the left which is working just fine. How do I fix this? Edit: oh my god i’m so stupid i swear I checked the oar lock three times, now that i’m at home and it’s in the slings and I checked again I realize i had it facing the wrong way, i have to go drown myself out of embarrassment 😭 thanks yall
